Disney+ has a hard time playing on Hisense Google TV? How to Fix?

Hi

I have the Hisense 75M7SG that has Google TV on it. I noticed that Disney+ is weird. First, I don't know if it is just me but the picture does not seem smooth.

Second, I don't know if it is because I am on the ad version. I say if I am watching a show that is 20 mins long, the first couple of ads will go fine, but near the end of the show, and what I suspect is the last set of ads, the screen goes dark and there is no sound.

I can sit there and wait a few minutes and still be black, If I "skip" ahead, I will see the show seems to have continued playing, but like I say, I just see a dark screen.

If I try to "skip back," it goes weird and does not play properly. I have to skip like 10 seconds past the "dark" spot, and I will see a picture, and then like 20 seconds later, sound will return.

Been on multiple shows like this. I have the latest version of Disney+ and of the TV. This does not happen on Amazon Prime or Netflix.

QD7SV or M7SG?

Hi

Is there much difference between these two TVs? chatgpt says the main difference is that you got google TV on the M7SG what sounds nice as then my understanding is I could sideload apps and not need a firestick(what is blocking many apps now so will need to buy a new device from another brand soon).

Hisense 75" M7SG 4K UHD HDR Dolby Vision Hi-QLED Mini-LED AI Google TV Smart TV (75M7SG) - 2026 - Only at Best Buy - $899.99 CDN

Hisense 75" Class - QD7SV Series - 4K QLED Mini LED TV - $897.99 CDN Costco.ca

The QD7SV is from Costco so that means an automatic 2-year warranty and think $70 bucks for another 4 years (which would guarantee this TV for at least 6 years). Where Bestbuy M7SG would be 1 year, to get 4 years more years is another $200.

Mostly I don't buy warranties, but my track record is really bad with TVs. Bought a Haier TV from Costco; it lasted 1.5 years. costco gave a full refund.

Bought a Vizio TV next, and it lasted 4.5 years. I bought the extended warranty for under $50, got a full refund minus the $50 that I paid for the warranty.

Bought a house and came with an RCA TV as seller did not want it anymore it lasted me 4 years and died last night.

So in a sense I got over 10 years of TVs for 50 bucks lol.

any other TVs I should consider. I am looking for a budget TV that is 75 inches. So far the Hisense ones seem to have the best bang for your buck.

Will I get money back?

Hi

I transferred out of Freedom Mobile and trying to understand my last bill.

My last full bill was from May 25th to June 24th and I paid that in full on July 8th.

Now my last bill is June 25th to July 24th and under "amount due" it say ($50.00) and the next Due date is August 7th.

Does that mean I will get $50 back on August 7th?

How to charge a late checkout fee.

Hi

I have in my house rules that if a guest has not left our place after 10 minutes after our official checkout we will charge them per every 15minutes a late checkout fee rounded up.

Though I have had this for years in my house rules, I never had to use it. It looks like I am going to have to use it today as one guest left 30 minutes after checkout. I followed up with an message 15 minutes after checkout saying they will be charged if they don't leave in the next 5 minutes.

They did not leave in those 5 minutes' time.

We are now thinking of enforcing our late fee policy, as my wife is now stressing out, as she now has less time to clean the place before the next guests arrive.

If we do enforce it, how do we do this? Do we send a money request? How fast do we need to send this request? Do we need to show proof of bills?

I am sure it will lead to a bad review, but I guess we can fight it with a response back.

They will get an honest review still (if everything else is good, then I will only mention the late checkout)

How to Handle New Fee Structure.

Hi

I know there are a lot of posts on the simplified fee plan going mandatory, and for me it is not that big of an issue, though I find the implementation of it all wrong.

First I booked my own airbnb a few weeks ago, and it did not even click that there was no cleaning fee or airbnb portion. I looked at the map and saw the prices (which never changed regardless of what screen I was on what is how it should have been from the start) and then I saw the nightly price x nights and the taxes.

I did not get mad and go, "Wow, the host is charging so much" as the one I took was the cheapest listing that fit all my "wants." In the end I really only care about total price. Seeing fees broken down, can be interesting to see; it usually turns to disgust or outrage for me.

For instance when you see a flight and it is $300 and you look at the breakdown and see things like convenience fees and all these other BS fees and then you realize the base fare is like $20. It just makes me mad.

What I don't like about this is that we have to account for the Airbnb fee in our pricing ourselves. When it was just 3% I did not think about it, I knew when I set my price to $100 a night I would get around $100 and never really thought, "oh I need to account for that $3".

Now that it there is another 15% on top of it, that is a big difference. As now, I could lose close to $20.

I don't know why they can't make it. You set all your numbers, and then they just tag on their % automatically. I mean, they built a whole transition tool to help you convert your pricing to the new pricing so you don't lose any money, so they obviously know the hosts are not going to eat this cost.

As a host how do I go about setting my pricing so I don't get in a trap of forgetting the Airbnb fee and taking a huge loss?

I was thinking of going in and setting my base price, what I always have, at $100 to $115-$118.

I use the rules for my months and then increase or decrease based on my base price.

I then would have to increase my cleaning fee as well.

The problem I am seeing, though, is if I set my base price higher and then use their conversion tool I am not sure if it will then apply both, and all my numbers will just be wrong.

How are people going about this?

I wish they really just did this per region. I am going to hold off till September as right now I am in my high season, and I don't want to muck anything up. If they would have looked at the region, they could have timed it to happen in the slow season for each area.

Approve your next login with a tap. How to add?

Hi

I can't find this in the app. the insturctions are not clear

"Instant Setup: Head to Settings > Security Centre and toggle Sign-in Approval to ON to enroll your device instantly"

I do not see "security centre" in my app on my Samsung phone, which says I got latest version (v 1.29.0)

I go to "settings." and i see "Security." and then "Trusted Devices / Biometrics / 2-Step verfication"

I have Authenticator on right now is that why I don't see it?
