BoFA Financial Advisor

Anyone in the area received any calls to schedule time with a free financial advisor in the same building where trader joes is? I received a call that they are calling people in the area for free financial advising. Wondering if anyone went in and what to expect?

I made a bunch of changes after the first round of feedback

I’ve been building Callings Awakened mostly privately.

The idea is that people from different places and times are pulled into another world, where the profession or discipline they mastered in life becomes supernatural power. A chef, a dancer, or a teachers calling literally becomes how they fight.

In the game, you start with 3 Heroes already on the battlefield, and they develop through the Techniques they actually use to grant further mastery.

I recently opened the browser Battle Arena for public testing, and the first feedback already led to a lot of changes:

  • clearer battle effects and targeting
  • bigger, more readable cards
  • cancel/back options so you don’t get stuck
  • cleaner Mastery interactions and match-end flow

The long-term goal is a real physical TCG with printed cards. Right now I’m at the beginning of finding players, getting useful feedback, and hopefully building a small community around it.

If anyone wants to try the current online demo and provide feeback, I’m happy to DM it.

Advice on my game and if mechanics make sense

Looking for feedback on a physical TCG called Callings Awakened I am working on.

You build a party of a Support, Attacker and Tank, with all three Heroes beginning in play.

Techniques are performed through individual Heroes, and the Level 1 Techniques they master during the match can make different Level 2 development paths available. The goal is to defeat all three opposing Heroes.

I made a free browser version so people can test the current game rules without printing anything or needing another player which after testing works exactly as the physical will work.

I am looking for advice whether the game itself is fun and understandable to people seeing it for the first time.

If anyone here is interested in trying it and giving gameplay feedback, feel free to DM me and I can send it over.

One note before anyone tries it: the current prototype uses generated placeholder art. It is temporary and will never be intended for the finished physical version.

Thanks if you give it a shot.

Playtesters wanted for Callings Awakened, a 3-Hero tactical TCG

Hi! I’m looking for a small first wave of outside players for Callings Awakened, a tactical physical TCG I’ve been developing.

You build a party of a Support, Attacker and Tank, with all three Heroes beginning in play. Techniques are performed through individual Heroes, and the Level 1 Techniques they master during the match can make different Level 2 development paths available.

I’ve built a free browser version using the current physical-game rules, so there’s nothing to download and no second player needed.

For this first round, I’m mainly trying to learn:

  • Was the game understandable without me explaining it?
  • Did the decisions feel meaningful?
  • Did the Mastery → Level 2 progression make sense once you encountered it?
  • Was anything frustrating, confusing, or broken?
  • After finishing, would you want to play another match?

There’s a feedback form at the end of the match, and detailed or critical feedback is welcome.

Desktop is recommended for the first test.

Play here:

Visual note: the current prototype uses AI-generated placeholder artwork. The intention is for any future physical release to use commissioned artwork from freelance human artists and other specialist contributors.

Thanks to anyone willing to give it a try.

Beginner Videographer for Indie Card Game - Portfolio Collaboration

I’m developing an independent tabletop card game currently entering physical playtesting. I’m looking for a beginner videographer, content creator, or social media student interested in creating short-form content while building their portfolio.

Location: Forest Hills, Queens

Timing: Beginning mid-late September

One approximately 2-hour session

Content may include:

Hands-only gameplay footage

Card and component close-ups

Behind-the-scenes playtesting

Short vertical videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts

No professional experience is required, and you do not need to appear on camera. Phone filming is completely acceptable.

You will receive creator credit, permission to use approved work in your portfolio, and a written recommendation. The game is a self-funded personal project and is not currently generating revenue.

Please reply with a short introduction, your general availability, and any sample work, social account, or school project. Beginners are welcome.

If the first session goes well for both of us, we can discuss additional sessions and even join in the indie project.
