Recoil Rider Grip on my SDR

Recoil Rider Grip on my SDR

Anxious to try these out. I purchased the larger of the 2 sizes offered as my hand measurements were just slightly over the suggested dimensions for large. It is nearly identical in shape to the Hogue Bantam 3 finger grip next to it. The spongy yet firm material used on the RR grip definitely feels more comfortable than the hard rubber Hogue. I'm still not sure I like the placement of my hand. These grips move the hand much further away from the trigger which creates an unnaturally long reach for me.

My 15yo has neurological lymes and is in the hospital. What can we expect?

My 15yo son was brought to a hospital in Poland with symptoms that resembled a stroke (drooping face and eyes). He was diagnosed with neurological lymes and has been on an IV of doxy since yesterday. They're keeping him for 3 weeks and then he can fly home with my wife who is there with him.

After 3 weeks of the drip, what type of follow-up care do you suppose he'll need back here in the States?

He said he had a tick on him last year, but he could have been exposed to other bites without him knowing it.

Thank you.

Received my Form 1 Approval

Mine can now officially be an SBR when I want it to be. Here it is with a sopmod stock. My wait was 52 days.

Suppressed with HV Ammo? Looking for Input.

I've put close to 1k rounds through my EP9 over the past month. I truly enjoy it but I think a suppressor would make it even better. I am looking at a HUXWRX Flow9 because I want the least amount of additional blowback possible.

HOWEVER, I would only be shooting 115g ammo through it as I have accumulated around 11k rounds that I realky need to use before buying anything else like subsonic ammo.

That being said, would a hi-flo can still be a worthwhile addition using only high velocity rounds? I'm not looking for whisper quiet performance. I find this firearm to be rather loud and so I double up on my hearing protection. I just wish to protect my hearing more and to enjoy a quieter shooting experience overall.

Thanks all!

Suppressed Direct Blowback 9 using only HV Ammo?

I've put close to 1k rounds through an Extar EP9 over the past month. While I truly enjoy ii, I think the addition of a suppressor would make it even better. I am looking at a HUXWRX Flow9.

HOWEVER, I will only be shooting 115g ammo through this firearm as I have around 11k rounds of it on hand that I need to use before buying anything else.

Got'er good 'n hot today!

My son mag-dumped two 33 round magazines back-to-back and then emptied four 18 rounders. He reloaded and then did the same. 250 rounds gone in less than a minute of trigger time. I timed his 33 round empty at about 6 seconds.

The Extar got plenty hot, but the front of the handguard was only warm to the touch. The rear of the guard where it attaches to the metal plate was too hot to touch. The handguard held up well but the two Phillips screws on the side needed to be tightened. I added more Loctite. I'm not sure I had them tight enough when I installed the handguard.

Not a single hickup or malfunction.

Mounted a Light

I'm not overly crazy about lights on firearms, but I like the profile of this one. It is a rather inexpensive Amazon light. It's rechargeable which I don't necessarily like but the controls are nice and are very easy to manipulate with the support hand. I'm not sure if I'll keep it mounted but it might come in handy in the event I ever have to play a real life game of Space Invaders at home!

SBA5 Goodness

I purchased this knockoff from the brace guy on here and it looks and feels perfect. I am very impressed! I am using this in place of the SBA3 that came with it. I also received a sopmod5 which I might use once my Form 1 is approved. But honestly the SBA5 is so good I might not bother.

Maiden Voyage

Ran flawlessly as expected over the 150 rounds I threw at it today. Whatever amount of ammo I have at home isn't nearly enough because this is going to eat it all quickly! I have obviously modified it a bit after receiving it yesterday. Fun times!

I got mine today!

I'm Impressed! I haven't shot it yet but will later this week. The SLX MD-25 optic is a bit chunky. It is one that I had used on my M1 Scout, but I'm not so sure if I'll like it on this.

Ordered a case from Midway

I have a new EP9 on the way and was looking at inexpensive cases that would have enough room for the XL comp I plan to install on it. I ordered the 29" model from Midway as they're on sale and have good reviews. It may have enough room for a suppressor, and if not they make a 36" model, too. I don't plan to suppress mine at the moment but things change. Looking forward to getting mine next Wednesday!
