Need a travel partner in goa here's my budget itenary

Solo budget Goa trip for 6 days — cycling across North & South Goa 🚲🌴

So I’m planning my first proper solo Goa trip for 6 days.

3 days North Goa + 3 days South Goa.

The plan is to cover as many places as possible but completely on a budget. I found a few hostels around Anjuna, Arambol and Siolim where beds are around ₹150–200, which honestly sounds perfect for me.

For South Goa, if everything feels safe and manageable, I might try beach/cliff camping in some hidden spots. I know North Goa is stricter and cops are more active there, so I’m not taking any risks with camping there.

Also I don’t have a license yet, so even though rental shops might still give scooters, I don’t wanna deal with cops/challan issues. Instead I decided to rent a cycle and honestly I’m kinda excited for that part. I’ve done long cycling rides before so distance isn’t a huge issue for me.

Food budget is also gonna be simple — mostly local street food, cafes only sometimes.

I kinda want this trip to feel raw and adventurous instead of luxury tourism. Hidden beaches, forts, random roads, sunsets, churches, cliffs, conversations with strangers — that type of vibe.

And honestly, if anyone’s interested in this kind of low-budget backpacking/cycling trip, you can join me too. If you have a license, we can even rent a scooter together and split the rent/fuel while exploring all 6 days together. Would honestly make the trip even more fun and cheaper.

Would love any suggestions from people who’ve already done Goa solo on a low budget. Especially:

- safe camping spots in South Goa

- hidden places worth cycling to

- things tourists usually miss

- budget food recommendations

- stuff I should avoid doing

Thanks 🌊

Goa Ghost Stories Actually Creeped Me Out Before My Solo Camping Trip

I was planning a solo Goa trip and randomly started reading creepy Goa experiences on Reddit last night.

Most ghost stories didn’t really bother me because I usually don’t believe in this stuff. But then I came across the term “Rakhandar.” From what I understood, it’s not exactly an evil entity — more like a spiritual protector of Goa’s village borders. Still, something about it genuinely creeped me out.

Then I read a story about a guy near the Arambol banyan tree who saw an old man wearing very old-style clothes just standing there silently. The weird part was that the same old man appeared in his dream for the next 3 days… and later he claimed he saw him again in South Goa too.

Now I’m planning to camp on some isolated beaches in South Goa and honestly these stories are sitting in the back of my mind 😭

Also before anyone says it — I’m not one of those people who litter while camping. I’ll carry all my garbage back with me and keep the place clean.

If anyone has real creepy experiences from Goa, camping suggestions, or even wants to join for the trip, DM me. I’ve got a 2-person tent so another traveler can join too.

My (20M) talking stage (19F) saw my old chats with other girls and now she says she lost respect for me. How do I handle this situation without making things worse?

I’ve been talking to this girl for around 5 months and things were going really well. Yesterday she asked for my Instagram ID and password because she wanted to link my account to the SHEINVERSE app for some discount thing. I trusted her and gave it.

Before that, I had already deleted anything that could create problems — chats with my ex, old talking stages, random flirty conversations, etc. But I completely forgot about one chat.

She ended up reading it and also saw some old messages where I had texted random girls. There were also some weird/flirty chats and she even asked me if I had a foot/armpit fetish after seeing some messages. The worst part is that all of those chats were old. I had already stopped doing all that random texting literally after I met her because I genuinely started liking her.

Now she says she lost respect for me. I panicked and deactivated my account because I didn’t know what to do.

I’m honestly very worried right now because it feels like everything is about to end over my past behavior, even though I changed after meeting her. I don’t know if I should give her space, explain myself more, or just accept that I messed up.

Anyone here ever camped overnight on a Goa beach without getting caught?

Since forever, one of my biggest dreams has been to camp beside a beach in Goa — just sleeping with the sound of waves and no chaos around.

The only thing stopping me is the fear that cops might randomly show up at midnight and ruin the entire experience by putting their stick in my asshole

My plan was to walk around 1–2 km away from the crowded beach areas, find some isolated shoreline spot, set up a small camp, and just chill there for the night peacefully.

Has anyone here actually tried this?

Do cops patrol isolated beach areas too, or is it usually fine if you’re not causing trouble, drinking loudly, or leaving trash around?

How do you guys save money on parking at North Goa beaches?

I’m planning a low-budget Goa trip and will mostly travel by cycle/scooty around North Goa beaches like Anjuna Beach, Baga Beach, Vagator Beach, and Fort Aguada.

Parking charges at every beach can add up fast 😭

How do you guys usually save money on parking there?

Any hacks, free parking spots, timing tricks, or better transport options?

Would love some budget travel tips from people who’ve already explored North Goa 🙌

My freind said that u can be a victim of human trafficking in goa

He said me two things

Firstly if u stay up at beaches at late night u can be trafficked very easily while camping if not then there's the second problem goa police will come and will ask to check ur bag and will keep a white powder pouch to your bag and will haunt u will make u feel like u are a drug dealer who has came through the beach side via boat to sell drugs

Is this true?

Is covering almost all major Goa spots by cycle in 6 days realistic or am I completely underestimating it?

I’m planning a super low-budget solo Goa trip and wanted opinions from people who’ve explored Goa properly.

My plan is to stay near Anjuna and cover almost all the major North Goa places within the first 3 days completely by cycle. I’ll start daily around 4 AM and ride till evening with breaks during the afternoon heat.

North Goa places I’m planning to cover:

Anjuna Beach

Vagator Beach

Ozran Beach

Chapora Fort

Parra Coconut Road

Baga Beach

Calangute Beach

Candolim Beach

Fort Aguada

Sinquerim Fort

Panjim

Fontainhas

Miramar Beach

Dona Paula

After that, the next 3 days will be for South Goa. I’m planning to leave around 4 AM and slowly cycle south while covering the main beaches and peaceful spots there too.

South Goa places I’m planning to cover:

Colva Beach

Benaulim Beach

Varca Beach

Cavelossim Beach

Palolem Beach

Agonda Beach

And after completing South Goa, I’ll cycle back toward North Goa again, return my rental cycle, say goodbye to Goa and head back home

I’m trying to keep the whole trip very budget-friendly:

local buses whenever needed

cheap dorms

street food

cycle instead of scooty because I don’t have a license

I genuinely enjoy peaceful solo travelling more than parties/nightlife, so long rides and quiet beaches actually sound fun to me.

But I want honest opinions from people who’ve been to Goa:

Is this physically realistic?

Is the Goa heat going to destroy me?

Are roads safe enough for long cycling?

Would you change/remove any places?

Any hidden problems I’m not thinking about?

Would love advice from cyclists/backpackers/locals.

Cycle rentals in Goa for budget solo travel? 🚴

I’m planning a low-budget solo Goa trip soon and wanted to know if cycle rentals are easily available there like scooty/bike rentals.

I don’t have a driving licence, and even though I know some rental guys still give scooties without asking much, I’m scared Goa police will stop me and the challan will end up costing more than my whole trip budget 🤣

So I was thinking of renting a bicycle instead and just exploring beaches, forts, villages slowly.

Are cycle rentals common in North & South Goa?

What’s the usual rent per day for normal or geared cycles?

And is it practical for beach hopping?

Would love some suggestions from people who’ve actually tried it.

Title: Can Goa Be Done on an Extremely Low Budget?

I’m a 20M planning a solo trip to Goa soon — not for parties or nightlife though. I genuinely enjoy being alone, exploring places peacefully, and spending time with myself.

My plan is to travel by train in general class, which will probably take around 3 days, but honestly I see that as part of the adventure too. Once I reach Goa, I’ll mostly use local buses instead of taxis, survive on street food, and stay in cheap dorms (around ₹100–₹200 per night) just for resting at night. I literally just need a bed for a few hours and a charging point so I can update my parents that yes, I’m still alive 😂

I’m more interested in exploring beaches, forts, old churches, hidden spots, sunsets, and South Goa vibes rather than clubs or parties.

The whole trip will be around 7 days including South Goa. Do you guys think my budget plan sounds realistic for this kind of travel?

Also curious — what’s the cheapest budget in which you’ve personally completed a Goa trip?

I’m planning a backpack + hitchhiking trip from Varanasi to Goa and honestly have no idea what I’m getting myself into.

Trying to do this on a very tight budget:

- hitchhiking as much as possible

- staying in gurudwaras/temples

- occasional tent camping

- cheap food and basic survival mode

If anyone here has travelled across India this way, please share advice. Especially:

- unsafe areas to avoid

- how to find safe lifts

- tent/camping precautions

- realistic daily budget

- essential things to carry

And if anyone around my age wants to join for the adventure, feel free to DM. Could be fun having a companion instead of getting stranded alone somewhere 😭
