Foebreaker, ready to march to war.

I thought the electroscourges needed beefing up a little, so added some extra whips from a Forgefiend sprue.

Skyline (2010)

I know this film gets a lot of hate but I'm happy to admit to it being one of my guilty pleasures.

Big 'siege storyline' vibes, cool bio-mechanical alien designs, fun set-pieces action scenes...

It's not a big movie, but I definitely think it's a fun watch.

Books Of Magic miniseries.

The Books of Magic four issue miniseries.

The John Constantine, Mister E, Doctor Occult, and The Phantom Stranger (The Trenchcoat Brigade) gather to try to guide Timothy Hunter, a young boy with the potential to become the greatest magician of all time, into making the choice to either follow the path of magic, science, or neither.

Plenty of cameos from the DC supernatural world, including Deadman, Zatanna, Dream, Doctor Fate, and Death, and some fantastic writing and artwork make for a top-notch read. Definitely recommended.

Hasty For The Dark - Adam Nevill.

Such a fantastic premise for a book. Short vignettes, describing the aftermath of something that has just occurred.

A masterclass in mood and scene-setting. Letting the reader draw their own conclusions on what may have happened.

Definitely recommended.

Edit : the correct title is Wyrd And Other Derelictions.

Stephen Laws

Has anyone read any Stephen Laws ? I've never seen any of his books mentioned or discussed.

His first book, Ghost Train was released in 1985, and as soon as I discovered it I quickly tunneled through any other new title as soon as it was published. Frighteners, Spectre (1986), The Frighteners (1990), Daemonic (1995) and Somewhere South Of Midnight (1996) are highly recommended and well worth picking up if you can find a copy.

I think he's stopped writing now, which is a great shame. Definitely had sone talent.

Superheroes with strong morals and the Sentinel programme.

One of the main problems I've always had with the Marvel universe is the fact that heroes with a supposedly strong set of morals and beliefs have seemingly never stood up against the Government's repeated use of sentinels and internment camps for mutants.

Surely the fact that innocent men, women, and children are being killed in the street or rounded up and imprisoned, just for who they are would have supes like Captain America (for instance) taking a stance against the programme ?

Even moreso if they're aware of the Days of Future Past timeline and how things quickly escalate ?

Has any heroes sided with mutants or publicly come out in opposition against sentinels ?

Superheroes and Sentinel operations.

Has how other superheroes view/ feel about the Government using sentinels to kill or imprison mutants, many of whom have done nothing wrong, ever been addressed ?

One thing about the Marvel universe that jars with me is the fact that surely the super-powered good guys would have something to say about what is basically the murder of innocents and use of internment camps. Captain America for instance, really should be against it quite strongly.

Riderless Helstalker.

Can the Helstalker be built without the Lord Discordant ? I'm assuming the reins wouldn't be a problem, but what about the seat ? Would it be too obvious that it's a saddle and someone should be sitting there ?

Are there ethnic supremacy gangs in women's prisons ?

When discussing men's prisons, a lot of the time people state that it's safer to align yourself with a gang of your own ethnicity (Aryan Brotherhood groups for example).

We dont hear of the same issue with women's prisons. Do such gangs exist or are women more likely to be more chill ?

Reading a thread on here about, after the Black Legion, which chapter was the strongest, got me to wondering, which chapter could be viewed as the weakest and/or closet to extinction ?

I remember that in the Night Lords trilogy of books, they're considered as pretty much just scattered warbands, having to resort to piracy and scavenging battlefields for fresh supplies.

I feel that the World Eaters would have the highest attrition numbers, due to their lack of self-preservation in their rush to engage in melee combat

I think the Emperor's Children were also nearly wiped out by a vengeful Black Legion after they stole Horus' body ?
