Help - Orchid Downtown but using carpark

Hi everyone,

We were originally meant to be public transport so book downtown orchid tickets.

We are no longer public transport and we’re driving as we’re coming from Ireland. The walk from the carpark to downtown looks crazy. We emailed trying to get a swap but no luck. Is the walk gonna be REALLY bad? We are in our early 20s, myself and my boyfriend. We have decathlon trolley. Or should we just camp somewhere in general camping instead

Does anyone have any advice?

Also, do they sell bags of ice at the festival as we’re thinking of bringing a cooler.

Recorded sets

Hi everyone,

Just wondering does anyone know if Partiboi69 x MCR-T set was recorded? I’m dying to listen to it again. Best set I’ve ever seen. I really hope they recorded it.

If so… when will it come out?

Thanks

Help - Taxi driver pretended to be my Uber, locked us in the car and charged us €220

Hi everyone,
Looking for some advice after a really scary experience.

My friend (21F) and I (22F) were visiting the Netherlands and booked an Uber after a festival. When a black car pulled up, I asked, “Is this the Uber for (my name)?” The driver replied, “Yes, (my name), come in.” Believing he was our Uber driver, we got into the car.

About halfway through the journey, I checked the Uber app and realised my actual Uber driver was messaging me asking where we were. I told the driver, “You’re not our Uber driver,” and he immediately started shouting, “I’m a fucking taxi, not Uber.”

When we arrived at our accommodation, he locked the doors and refused to let us leave unless we paid €220. We genuinely didn’t think he was going to let us out, so my friend paid because she was terrified.
When I told him I was going to call the police, he got out, opened my door, grabbed me by my arms and legs, and dragged me out of the taxi while shouting abuse. He was also smoking in the taxi during the journey.

We have a photo showing the Taxi Stad driver ID inside the taxi, proof of the €220 Revolut payment, and screenshots showing our real Uber driver was trying to contact us while we were already in the wrong car.

We submitted a formal complaint to Taxi Stad, but the driver denied everything. He denied pretending to be our Uber driver, denied locking us in the taxi, denied physically touching me, and denied overcharging us. The company said they couldn’t verify our allegations, accepted the driver’s version of events, and refused to refund us.

I’ve also found a number of reviews online describing similar experiences involving tourists being intimidated or charged excessive fares. We had mentioned we were flying back to Ireland the next day, so I believe the driver assumed we were tourists and wouldn’t pursue the matter.

Unfortunately, we’re now back in Ireland, so making a complaint in person isn’t straightforward.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Is there anything else we can do, or are we simply out of luck? Any advice would be really appreciated

Advice on moving to Netherlands

Hi all,

I’ve had a really bad family crisis recently. I’m from Ireland (F22) and I need to get out ASAP. I don’t have much money, and I have a first class honours bachelors degree in business and finance with little work experience behind me.

I’m in a dark place mentally, I feel so alone where I am. I’m going through a bad breakup and an abusive family situation. I visit the Netherlands 5 times a year and I really love it there.

I really want to move over, it’s the only place I really feel like I might feel a bit better mentally. I think I’d make friends easily and if I don’t even just walking around the cities over there brings me joy.

How possible would it be to move there last minute on my own and find a job? Especially with little savings behind me.

Thanks in advance, open to messages if anyone has any questions on my situation 🫶🏻

Saturday Advice

Hi everyone,

My friend and I fly into Brussels on the Saturday morning, we arrive around 9 and then need to get the train to Eindhoven where we are staying.

Since we’re staying in Eindhoven and the festival ends at 1am there won’t be public transport. All of the organised travel is sold out as this was a kinda last minute idea for us. How do we get to and from the festival? We will probably need to leave Eindhoven around 1 or 2pm, and we want to stay till closing.

Thanks!

Refund

Hello all,

We are stuck in Amsterdam until our flights home on Monday as flights home are too expensive to rebook. We only have €200 to get us through until then after having to book a hostel for the next few nights. When will we be getting our refunds ?

Thanks

Weekend Camping Question

Hi all,

I’m very worried about the heat and I have a premium weekend ticket and also have a paid for one of the tents in the highlands.

I’m really considering sitting tomorrow out and saving my energy for Friday and Saturday due to the heat, but I’m worried that what if I arrive on Friday and they refuse me entry? Even with a weekend ticket? I don’t function well in that kind of heat.

Thanks in advance

Amalfi Coast Advice Please!

Hey everyone!

My boyfriend and I (22) are backpacking Italy starting in the Amalfi Coast this June!

Our flight gets into Naples at 11am on the 13th of June and we are going straight to Sorrento. So that gives us our first afternoon/evening in Sorrento (our base).

We then have 3 full days and then one more morning before we move to Naples for a night.

We want to see a lot on the coast and it’s our only coastal location this summer so we want to make the most of it. We need help deciding the best things to do. We want to do:

~A day trip to Capri
~Rent scooters for a day
~A day trip to Positano
~Rent a boat for a day
~Do a boat tour
~Spend a day in Sorrento/at the beach

We think Capri seems like a must do, and maybe the scooters too as that seems fun/romantic.

Does anyone have any advice? Would it be more beneficial to rent a boat or to go on a boat tour that drops us off in different towns?

It’s so overwhelming as we want to make the most of our time there but would ideally also love to not feel rushed (which is hard given our short time).

We could make go to Naples late on the 5th day to get more less a full day on the coast?

Thanks in advance! ☺️

Just wondering when roughly the Defqon premium wristbands come in the mail?

My boyfriend and I are going on holidays on the 13th of June… will the wristbands come before that?

Thanks ☺️
