got an upcoming IME for a WPI assessment and I’m wondering what people’s experiences of them have been? do they differ much from the usual IME?
I’ve had 3 IME’s over the last few years, most recent one being 5 months ago - are they likely to ask much about my history and my life story (childhood & prior to work place injury, etc) again?
I am planning to change from Superloop now that I’m living alone (originally had 500/50 for $95 monthly) and I’m wanting something more affordable - BUT with an easy transition and set up that doesn’t require someone coming to the house. I also at times have found superloop’s customer service specifically around financial hardship assistance to be quite unhelpful.
I have an eero6+ router and FTTP has been installed.
any recommendations for easy transition to an affordable plans for a single person household?
was essentially told by a property manager today that if cost of rent is over 30% of income, the application will likely be rejected. how does one successfully get accepted into a property when not meeting this ratio in the current state of the rental market?
my income is lower-moderate - but my current rental is nearly 70% of my income and I’m making it work. I’m rather desperately trying to find a new place to even lower that percentage by 20%. the places im looking at are generally around 40-50%, and there’s not many to choose from even at that mark.
currently feeling like I might be stuck paying 70% at this point with the state of the rental market 😵💫

any recommendations for op shops or cheaper craft stores in the inner north / north / north west area that have a decent craft supplies selection (fabrics & sewing etc?) similar to helping hands in airport west - which is incredible!
I have a psychological injury claim, and over the last few years of my claim, the insurer (EML) have continued to make requests to my treating professionals (old and current), for my entire and full medical and clinical records. I have expressed my concerns on numerous occasions about this, and I continue to get “you signed a consent form” thrown back in my face.
Though, my understanding is that the consent form allows them to access information relevant to my workplace injury, not make large requests for my entire medical records. EML do not need to have information from my GP dated back to when I was 9 years old. My treaters have managed these requests well, as far as I’m aware, and have only provided information that is clinically relevant.
I am though becoming really frustrated with the continued requests for my entire records. I have communicated my request asking them to limit the scope of their requests to information only relevant to my workplace injury, but I may as well not have said anything with how things continue to operate.
I understand that this is just one of those things that come with having a Workcover claim, but my privacy is really important to me, and I’m exhausted hearing every few months by my treating professionals that EML have yet again requested my entire records.
Has anyone else experienced this and better yet, managed to successfully challenge these requests?

for context, i was living in my current rental with an ex partner, though I needed to leave that relationship due to FV and my ex moved out. the FV had an impact on my employment and I needed to resign - leaving me with double rent + a significant change of income.
I have capacity to continue paying upcoming rent - and annoyingly, this rental is the only rental reference i can provide.
any advice would be appreciated!!

i have an upcoming restraining order court hearing (against my ex partner), and with that, my cptsd symptoms are increasing.
the hearing in itself is distressing and it also is demanding a lot of me. I can’t afford legal representation, so I am expected to conduct cross examination of the several witnesses - as the court appointed lawyers only provide representation during cross examination of me & my ex. my ex has also already detailed my mental health, and previous sexual trauma history to the court, in their 50 pages worth of ‘evidence’. so there’s a bit that’s been activated.
during the relationship (we are both women btw), my body and appearance was a regular topic of conversation. i have a history of anorexia, and my ex would regularly comment on changes to my body in a sexualised way, and would only comment on my chest/bum.
I recently noticed changes to my body/weight, and it resurfaced my ex’s commentary, and while I don’t give a fuck about what she has to say or the changes to my body, I despise that my body has become a reminder of her. I’m trying not to make it an issue, but I’m finding it difficult to shower, get changed, etc. im also currently stuck living in the same house i lived in with her, and the environment isn’t helping w the reminders either. we also share the same bday, and ive been needing to submit court forms and write down her DOB and have not appreciated the reminder 🥲
if anyone has any advice for navigating triggers that are really hard to avoid, that would be fab
After a difficult and stressful process for request for reinstatement weekly income reinstatements, EML advised me last week that it has now been approved. I will be getting approx 6 months of back pay - but they first need to liaise with Centrelink.
I am at risk of losing my housing - in rent arrears and my real estate have started the VCAT process. So I’m rather desperate for this back payment 😭 how long could this take? any tips to speed up the process is greatly appreciated!!
