My girlfriend got into a car accident this evening, she is alright and was cleared by medical professionals but im still really worried and shook up. Getting a call from her mum saying she was in a car accident was super hard. I feel weak because i feel like im making a big fuss. Im 17 and dont really have anyone to talk to about this so I thought i would make a post.

I've been a long-time enjoyer of modding Sak content and have always been a tinkerer and love making things.

I'm planning on modding one of my saks to have torx pivots instead of peaned brass pins with gromets. Is it possible to have the torx heads under the scales and either press the new scales on (some titanium ones I ordered) or use a small amount of epoxy?

Essentially having the ease of assembly and adjustability of torx pivots but the look of peaned pins (hidden under the scales).

Another question is how well the Acid etch stonewash lasts on a knife with moving parts. I have been a knife maker for a few years, making fixed blades, so I know how it lasts on those, but does it wear more with potential rubbing between the tools moving?
