Can you pre make anti reflux formula?

I’m confused. My pediatrician wants me to trial anti reflux formula. The directions say to boil water, wait 30 mins, mix the formula, and then you have to wait for it to cool? How is that feasible? My baby would be screaming its head off for 45 mins?

I know you can pre make regular formula but can you with anti reflux formula since it technically thickens? Would it thicken more if it’s pre made than sat in the fridge?

Any tips or just knowledge welcome 🤣

13 week old: false starts last several nights? Sleep association awareness, wake window issue, or early 4mo regression? Help

My 13 week old has been a decent sleeper. He would pretty much go to sleep at 8pm, wake once to feed around 1-3am, then back to sleep till 6-7am. This was pretty consistent for about 5-6 weeks. Blessed, I know.

Starting about 1.5 weeks ago, naps started to become progressively harder. I was able to get some 1-1.5 hour crib naps or independent naps on baby lounger, but lately he has required either the stroller (rocking required to sleep) or contact with some bouncing to connect cycles. Night time has now changed.

The last two nights, he’s been having issues with false starts. GRANTED, I did start swaddling arms out because of subtle signs of rolling as well as moved him into a pack and play because he was literally rotating his Moses bassinet sideways and getting too big. The first night I moved him to pack and play he slept normal. Two nights later I unswaddled, he slept almost through the night! Then the next two nights he’s been waking literally 30-40 minutes after being put down for the night. He does require rocking/bouncing to be put back to sleep but I’ve been trying to gradually reduce these and start to incorporate some crib jiggling. He gets pretty upset when he wakes up from these fake starts and most the time the only way to soothe him is to pick him up. Last two nights we had one 45 minute false start, then about 2 wakings a few minutes upon transferring to bassinet after he had been asleep 15-20 minutes in our arms. He finally went down at 10:20pm until 4:30am and then asleep 5am-7:30am (some crib jiggling required)

His schedule is the following:
Wake: 7:30am (wake window 1.25)
Nap 1: 8:45
Wake: 9:45am (1.5)
Nap 2: 11:15 in stroller usually
Wake 1pm (1.75)
Nap 3: 2:30-3
Wake: 4pm (1.5-1.75)
Nap 4: 5:45ish
Wake: 6:15/30pm (wake window 1.5-2)

He’s usually kind grumpy after his last cat nap and requires some pretty hands on intervention. He fusses quite a bit initially being rocked to bed. I haven’t been able to successfully put him down drowsy and awake. He doesn’t really fuss, just escalates.

Any tips? Should I try to extend my last wake window and get a little longer 4th nap?

Why has bedtime always been so protested? 13 weeks old today

My baby has always protested bedtime and the second we get him out of the bath and into the bedroom to start the wind down routine he starts screaming. I used to think it’s because he was hungry as he calmed when he took a bottle but after that I have to bounce him to sleep and he still fusses and cries.

Day starts anywhere from 6:30-7:30am and his wake windows are 1.25/1.5/1.5/1.5-1.75/1.5-1.75

Naps are usually 1/1.5/1/.5 give or take 30 mins or so

I’ve found he usually falls asleep easiest around 8pm. I’ve tried moving bedtime earlier because he’s so grumpy after his last cat nap

Best sleep training method for a baby who screams upon putting down no matter how asleep?

Trying to research which sleep training method to use with my baby once he reaches 4 months of age. As of now (he’s freshly 3 months), he only wants contact naps or naps in the stroller with rocking it. Bed time has gotten a little harder and I usually have 3-4 failed transfer attempts before I can successfully get him down for the night. I have weaned him off from feeding to sleep but now he requires bouncing or rocking. He will not fuss when he awakens but resorts straight to crying tha escalates fairly quickly if I don’t intervene. I’ve tried less hands on soothing methods with no success (patting, shushing, crib jiggling, etc) and even fuss it out but he just escalates. I’m figuring it’s just because he hasn’t developed the self soothing skills yet. Hopefully he does closer to 4 months.

I’m not against CIO. I’ve been reading Precious little sleep book full extinction method and I’m figuring that’s what I may have to resort to. Has anyone had any success with this method for a baby similar?

Or what has worked for you with a baby like this?

Is it okay to let my 13 week old baby take a mid day nap in his stroller if that’s the best way he naps?

He sucks at napping and will ONLY contact nap with me. And lately he’s been so bad about being transferred to his bassinet and wakes after 5 mins. This has been happening more for bed time lately too and it’s been so hard and exhausting for me. He WILL sleep for about 2 hours in a stroller when I rock him in it. I’ve been just taking him for walks by the beach in it then stopping at a cafe for an hour and will rock him.

Is this bad? He has no ability to self soothe yet and I’ve given him so many opportunities to fuss it out and I’ve tried shushing, patting, you name it, he SCREAMS. He instantly gets upset when I put him in his sleep sack in our dark bedroom with white noise. I follow his wake windows and cues and use huckleberry and napper to make sure they’re appropriate.

My owlet showing 10+ wakes every night for my 12 week old??

My 12 week old goes to bed around 8pm each night and wakes around 1-3am to feed then typically won’t cry again until 7am to eat. However, my owlet is showing he’s up ALL the time. I turned on movement and sure enough he is thrashing and moving often, but not crying. Sometimes he looks awake, others he doesn’t. Most of these wakings and squirming happen after the 2am feed.

Is this normal?

If I didn’t have the owlet I’d have no clue. I sleep on the couch next to our room after the 2am feed because he’s significantly louder after this feed.

My 10 week old has had SMELLY farts the last 3 weeks that are pungent. He poops every 1-3 days typically. He does have bad gas due to poor latch (just recently had tongue clipped) and takes infacol every feed and Biogaia in the evening.

Anyone else have this happen? Did it get better? 😅
