Hoardcore – Universal Loot Vacuum

Saves all picked-up items to your inventory. Compatible with all major Doom Engine games and potentially mods.

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

I started thinking about how Doom isn't really tactical enough, and it reminded me of the Inventory Doom mini mod by meatman12 that I messed around with years ago. It let you hoard ammo, armor, and powerups. Sadly, the author abandoned the project and kept things pretty modest. So, I decided to take that concept to the next level / to absolute absurdity, and now you can literally hoover up every single level in Doom 1/2, Heretic, Hexen, and Strife.

You can stack up to 99 rocket launchers and 99 soulspheres to use later or just to hoard for your collection (because why not...).

Here is a full mod showcase video on my YouTube channel.

Just a heads-up: keys are NOT included in this mod so it doesn't mess with their logic and automap rendering. But if you want to collect keys too, I already got you covered with another my mini mod – Omni Key.

P.S. You might see some missing icon warnings in the console. That’s totally fine – I couldn't find a way around it, so just ignore them.

The mini mod was tested on UZDoom version 5.0.3, but it should also be supported on GZDoom versions 4.10 and newer. Please note that it uses ZScript.

Serious Effects

This mini mod updates item behavior — now they spin, bob up and down, glow, and have particles swirling around them. It works out of the box with all mods and Doom Engine games.

I recently beat all the custom maps for Serious Sam Fusion, and after sinking so many hours into it, I realized exactly what Doom was missing: a mix of cool visual effects around ammo, weapons, armor, and health. Croteam came up with this idea 25 years ago to make sure you never lose track of items placed on the map: they hover in mid-air, spin, and spawn colored particles. That’s exactly what I spent hours coding in ZScript... But the good news is, the mod works flawlessly anytime, anywhere — whether you're playing Doom 2, Heretic, Hexen, Strife, or any mod built for them.

Plus, you can completely customize particle colors and render distance, light colors and render distance, and toggle particles or lighting on and off. Just keep in mind that, by default, particles and lights only render at close range. When I left it uncapped, the lag was absolutely brutal. And of course, a voxel mods would be the perfect companion for this project.

The mini mod was tested on UZDoom version 5.0.3, but it should also be supported on GZDoom versions 4.10 and newer. Please note that it uses ZScript.

Blinking

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OybMRu7h0-k

Who would’ve thought, but ID Tech 1 games apparently aren't realistic enough. So, throwing it back to my old days playing SCP: Containment Breach, I decided to code a realistic blinking mechanic that triggers every 5 seconds! Now, while playing, you’ll probably find yourself blinking more in real life too, because you'll gradually adapt and start syncing up your real blinks with the game! It’s literally a lifesaver for your real-world health (though it might cost you your virtual life if you miss a rocket from a cyberdemon...)

The mini mod was tested on UZDoom version 5.0.1, but it should also be supported on GZDoom versions 4.10 and newer. Please note that it uses ZScript.

Simplest HUD – A truly flexible interface for Doom Engine games

Fullscreen HUD with precise customization of coordinates, distance, font, color and powerups for all IWADs and mods.

While modifying the excellent Minimalist Doom 64 HUD, I realized I wanted precise control over the positioning of health, armor, and ammo. Instead of constantly tweaking that mod's code back and forth, I decided to build my own HUD from scratch for myself and, eventually, for you!

Not only did I add menu settings for horizontal and vertical positioning (making this HUD compatible with absolutely any screen resolution), but I also added support for dual-ammo displays (common in reloading mods), swapping ammo positions, and adjusting the distance from the center. Plus, you can tweak the keys, powerups, inventory slot and the entire item list. Also I included font and color customization.

This HUD lets you bring your ideas to life: it works with all games and mods, meaning if they have custom fonts, you can choose them for your on-screen display.

Special thanks to Xtyfe — I partially borrowed some logic and code snippets from his mod.

The HUD was tested on UZDoom version 5.0.1, but it should also be supported on GZDoom versions 4.0 and newer. Please note that it uses ZScript.

Key Inventory – Inventory Key & Skull Viewer for Doom

UZDoom just updated to 5.0.1 and it broke some small GZDoom mod features. It hit my HUD pretty hard — the key display on the screen is completely busted now. I could probably jank a fix using some old-school primitive methods, but it actually got me thinking... I’ve already put out two Ashes 2063 playlists, and in both of them, you can see me looting keys, but they don't show up anywhere on the HUD, even though the doors open fine. So I was like, what if I make a minimod that just drops all collected keys straight into your INVENTORY? And that brings us to the good news: I actually whipped up that mod, and it runs flawlessly in Doom, and I might expand it to other games later. Honestly, this key mod only really makes sense for HUDs where you can't see your keys like my Minimalist HUD, but you can run it with literally anything. Checking your cards through the inventory feels super smooth, highly recommend giving it a shot!

If a mod like this already exists, my bad, I couldn't find it anywhere. Plus, it was pretty easy to make anyway, but I figure someone out there will find it useful.

Flag of Russian Veche

A hypothetical flag of Russia, where conservatives and anarchists won at the same time. The country relies on rural autonomy, horizontal self-organization, handicrafts and traditional values.

The concept of the flag is based on the national Khokhloma painting, at the same time it is intertwined with anarcho-conservatism.

Alternative flag of Mala Tokmachka

My version of the alternative symbols of the legendary village. Both original symbols are "taken out" up, slightly changed and crossed, the three stars also found their place.
