We got people declaring Florida is dog shit now after beating Ole Miss who beat LSU last week. I have a clever idea, maybe the SEC is just a really deep damn league… people were overreacting Texas played a close one to Tennessee on the road. People were overreacting when Florida dominated Ole Miss. People are overreacting that Mizzou is kicking Florida’s ass right now. People are going to overreact that MSU had a bad outing versus Alabama, although I do think Alabama is legit. SEC is just extremely deep this year and there is more parity than ever. Got to bring it every week or you will get a L in the loss column. The truth is if you are playing any SEC team on the road, especially the top 10 of the league you should be weary because if you have a C - day you will lose 8 times out of 10 even if you are the better team on paper. That is just talking about difficulty on the road in the SEC, it’s not easy to beat a competent league team at home either. This is the reality of the conference. It’s still early and with this chaos it’s hard to know for certain who will be in the top 3-5 conference teams that will be positioned for a shot to make the playoff. Exciting times, but let’s chill on the overreactions. A win is a win in this league. With the road losses we are seeing, how about we don’t shit on teams that pull of wins on the road versus the top half of the league as well? Thanks.

Had a question on how this works. Created a salary cap league with 5 others. Was wanting to see each others teams and track each others players/performance also. Only can see the score of each others teams can this be added?

I think I am officially done making adjustments. I started with Manning at QB but decided I would prefer getting Mensah + saving 3million so I could get another high caliber RB in Marshall at 10.5 million instead of settling for another 7 million range RB.

This is the best place I think my roster has been in. Will put Captain boost on Lacey & Mensah most weeks. Let me know if I should look to make any changes or if I should just keep it exactly like this. Thanks!

The benchmark for a semi-successful season to me is 38-44 this year. The O/U I saw is at 32 and that seems disrespectful after lots of roster improvements and Kai returning. To me I would see it as a great season if we go .500 or better. The main fear I have is the brutal first 10 game stretch of the season. Hope we can pull some of those off and our team’s confidence doesn’t get shot that early. I think our Floor is 32 Ws and Ceiling is 50. Anywhere over .500 would show drastic improvements. Excited for this season.

Saw Frost Buddy universal drink holders are licensed for UT Athletics now. Wasn’t sure if we are allowed to bring anything to keep beers cold at game… didn’t think it would be a big deal but wouldn’t want to go back to car or get it taken to enter. Any experiences with this? Just not sure if worth the cost if I can’t use it at games. Thanks for any help! 🤘

I believe if the CFP bubble is as tight as it was a year ago Penn State will miss the CFP and will be one of the first teams out. Penn State couldn’t have hand picked a better B10 slate this year. Will only face three solid opponents (USC, Michigan, Washington). The rest of their games they will be decent favorites in. I would expect them to be a slight favorite against Washington as well. Let’s say they lose to USC/Michigan and beat Washington who will likely be a fringe top 25 team. Then you have to evaluate if this would earn a CFP at large berth. If it is like last year with a lot of quality 2 loss teams I think they will be out with only one Top 25 win. Even if there aren’t as many quality 2 loss teams I think a 3 loss team with 2 or 3 top 20 wins might get the nod before Penn State if they have a top 10 SOS while Penn State will likely have one of the bottom 10 SOS among P4 teams. A lot of people are penciling in a Penn State if they go 10-2 but I could easily see a world where they are on the outside looking in come CFP selection day even if they hit the 10-2 mark.

Personally, I disagree with a lot of his takes and it’s obvious he click farms especially in the offseason but I have never despised him. Majority of CFB talking heads use a lot of the same click farming techniques. Only thing I find very annoying on his show is constantly trying to sell crappy merch that I have no idea who on earth would actually spend hard earned money on. Outside of that, nothing to me is appalling or fueling personal hatred towards him. I enjoy some of the longer form videos and it at least gives me something to spend time watching while I impatiently wait for CFB to kick off this year. Inform me on what I am missing and why I should hate this guy.

Can fans bring stadium seats or chairbacks?
Fans are permitted to bring in their own stadium seats or chairbacks provided the seats does not have any pockets or zippers and does not exceed 12x12x18 inches.

Saw a comfier one on Duluth that is 15” and has one small zipper. Was curious what y’all’s experience has been and odds of this being enforced. Would think the clear bag policy is stricter than something like this.

For a Luka return in 2028 I would lock myself in a dark room until I watch every single Nico Harrison media availability, interview/podcast, and press conference post trade. I would suffer through all the “we believe this is the best path forward” and “defense wins championships” statements. That is true suffering.

My personal choices, NOT IN ORDER:

Michigan @ OSU - haven’t been to “The Game”, has always been on my bucket list

LSU @ Ole Miss - Lake Kiffins first return to Ole Miss, will be a violent environment

Miami @ ND - have never been to NDs stadium, should be a high level football game.

Ohio State @ Texas - is the most intriguing non-con game IMO - ignore my flair

Oregon @ USC - haven’t been to the Coliseum… I just feel like this game will be elite. Fall in Southern California would make for a good trip as well.

I would prefer 8 team CFP but we all know the people making the money aren’t going to reduce the field to make less. This is the perfect CFP format IF THEY EXPAND. Get rid of conference championship games and move season up to current “Week 0”.

15 AT LARGE BIDS

1st Round - top 8 seeds host on campus
Quarterfinals - top 4 seeds remaining host
Semifinals - Rotating sites for neutral fields
Championship - always at Rose Bowl on NYD

This system would prevent teams coming out cold and gives an advantage to performing well in season and being in the Top 4 & Top 8. Long stretches of rest gives a disadvantage to the top seeds. More home environments would also be a huge plus compared to the current system. I hate seeing the Peach Bowl in a quarterfinal game. Gives a bigger advantage to the lower seed than it should.

Mavericks Get: Mathurin in S&T, 2RP from Heat

Clippers Get: PJ OR Gafford

Heat Get: Klay

This would allow us to get Mathurin and would replace either PJ or Gaffords contract. Same timeline as Cooper. Also, with trading Klay we would not be over the limit on roster positions and wouldn’t have to eat Caleb Martins dead cap. I would prefer trading PJ but seems like Clippers would prefer Gaff to fill in their 5 spot.
