I'm a journeyman splicer at a East Coast utility that has extremely high turn over in everything from the field employees to the DOs and TOs (starts with a D). Looking to bail to Arizona and my partner already has an offer at APS. They posted a DO position, does anyone have insight into pay scale and working conditions? Are the operators union?

I'm in the hiring process for SRP for something else but I like to keep my options open in case it falls through.

I've shadowed the DOs at my utility for a week, and do a lot of field switching so I am semi-familiar with what they do and think it might be a good move for me. I'm used to working 80-90 hour weeks, on call, sleeping day, night, never sleeping. Just a big leap from leaving the devil I know to potentially doing a job I haven't done before across the country at another utility.

Got my Form 1 approved. Went with an OEM Springfield stock but undecided on the grip. I'm new to PCC's and am most concerned with the proximity to the barrel with a grip.

Looking at the B5 M-LOK VFG currently, anyone have other suggestions?

Purchased an LMT MARS-H lower that came with a VLTOR A5 (RE-10; 6 position) buffer tube, need to purchase the rest since the dealer didn't send the buffer and spring for whatever reason. I'm new to AR-10s.

Looking at a Sprinco spring preferably, not picky on the buffer.

I plan on it being an 18" DMR for stationary shooting. Would like a B5 precision stock but open to others.

Is it worth messing with the A5 or just swap it to a normal buffer tube?

Anyone have a copy to APS' CBA that they can send my way?

Curious to see how it compares to the utility I'm at now.

Bought both stripped lowers during a sale. I am planning on buying the LPK with trigger guard from Titan. They're currently in stock but I don't plan on messing with the build right now as I have a bunch of others ahead, do these typically stay in stock? I know LMT parts can be hard to find at times.

Also, any recommendations on the MARS-H lower? I'm new to the AR10 platform.

I live in VA so my timeline for purchases is coming to an end soon.

I have a lot of AR-15s, an AP5 so I was looking at the Arsenal SAM-5. I'm real iffy on Arsenal as a company and don't want to deal with a fluke. A Galil Ace 1 was on my list forever but I held out unfortunately.

I'm thinking a Galil Ace 2 is my ideal final purchase but I want to switch it up from the typical 5.56. I don't own any .308 guns (never even have shot one before) and would love to hear any input on it? I'm aware of the rise in ammo costs but that's everything nowadays.
