Looking for some advice (carpentry)

Was a framer/carpenter before becoming a sparky - been out the game for 6 years.

We are going to raise the floor of this room.
Going to pull carpets and subfloor, frame in joists then resheet and hardwood.

I want to raise the door up to true height of the remaining part of the house. Any tips? I have about 3 months to work on it.

175-200k combined, 3-5% down - first time buyers in WA.

We are located in Washington state close to Seattle and looking to purchase a home. The average in our area is about 550-625k for what we need: garage, kids room, spare room for office etc.

Wife and I are both now above 790 credit scores, I have ~10k in misc debt, wife has none - just paid her car off. We have a 7mo.

In order to get the starter home we need/want we are likely to be house broke. Interest rates for us are looking at 6%+, should we even consider purchasing at this time?

Just sorta looking for guidance, both of our families are unequipped to give us guidance.

E36 stance help

What’s up, looking for some help with my E36 drift project. Car was originally slammed - loved it. To save tires as much as possible I squared the rear and added rear camber arms.

I’m about to cut the wheel arches and get wider wheels/tires. In order to go lower and keep the rear square would it be as simple to just modify/cut the rear camber arms in order to allow them to thread closer together?

Not a big fan of how I’m monster truckin rn lol

First structural weld in about 6 years. Used to work in a fab shop. I don’t feel like I’ve lost my touch, it’s like riding a bike I guess.
