DeepCool CH260 fan layout help!

I'm slapping my parts into a new case, because my current case has terrible airflow. The DeepCool CH260 I ordered has 2 front, 3 top and 1 rear 120mm fan placements (none pre-installed).

The front 2 will obviously be intake, rear will be exhaust, but how should I configure the top 3 fans? I will be using a Thermalright Assassin Spirit CPU aircooler. I have enough fans to fill all slots if needed. Help?

5800X with dual fan single tower cooler?

I have this HP Omen 30L (one 120mm intake, 92mm exhaust fan and 120mm AIO) I'm sick of listening to after I stopped wearing headphones. The BIOS on this idiotic system doesn't even allow for fan curve adjustment, not that there are many fans to adjust.

Ordered a new motherboard, a better breathing case and a bunch of fans. It'll have two front intake fans, one exhaust at the back and three exhausts on top. All 120mm.

I have a Ryzen 5800X and the 120mm AIO is SCREAMING. I already have an unused Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 V2 Plus (two 120mm fans, single tower, four heatpipes) and after some googling around it seems like 50/50 split on people saying it's perfectly fine and the other half saying the CPU will fry and everything I love and cherish will fade into oblivion. Do I really need something like a Peerless Assassin or am I overthinking this?

Over/underclocking (severely) mismatched RAM?

This may be a bit of a dumb question, but as I have no experience I thought I'd ask people who are way smarter than me:

TL;DR: I have a bunch of mismatched DDR4 RAM sticks. 1x8GB 2666, 1x8GB 2933 and 2x8GB 4000. No idea about CL values as of now. My wife's new build needs RAM, so can I just slap all of these in and try to run them at 3000-3200MHz without damaging stuff? Ryzen 5600X CPU.

Longer explanation:

Building a PC for my wife and she would prefer 32GB of RAM, but buying more isn't an option because we're on a pretty tight budget and it's already been spent on the parts. I got her the 2x8GB 4000 kit. We're currently running the 1x8 2666 and 1x8 2933 kit at 3000MHz and it's stable in her old system (Ryzen 3400G). This PC will be used for gaming only. She plays MMOs and wants to play Hogwarts Legacy, which doesn't really run on her current outdated system.

Is mismatching by this much going to cause problems or is it something I can try without fear of breaking something?

Budget living room gaming PC build sanity check

Hey, been thinking of building a budget PC for the living room for a while now and finally decided to go ahead and do it. My wife and I play a lot of older games and Fromsoftware titles. 60FPS in most games is fine for us.

We both have higher spec gaming PCs, so no need to compete with those now. We've been on Bazzite (Linux) for a couple of weeks now, so this should be an AMD build to run a SteamOS-like interface on the TV. We've been gaming on the couch on my Steam Deck.

My ideas:

Asus PRIME A520M-K, mATX mobo (61€)

AMD Ryzen 5500 (89€, a 5600 is 149€ so I don't think it's really worth it to go for that)

Kingston Fury 16GB 3200GHz DDR4 RAM (free)

9060 8GB (on sale for 269€)

Total: 419€

I have a bunch of fans and a case to shove all this in. There's an old 500W PSU somewhere, but will that be enough? Suggest a PSU if not, because I don't have any idea what goes with these parts.

The GPU is a bit underwhelming, sure, but a 9060XT 16GB is 419€, the same as the whole build, and the used market here is just idiotic. Could maybe snag some older 8-12GB AMD GPU for the same price as a new 9060, but would rather not deal with used parts. I'm in Finland.

Switching to AMD GPU, question about reinstalling Bazzite

I'm probably, maybe, hopefully upgrading my Nvidia 3080 to an AMD RX6800XT or something along those lines. Just wanted to check if I'm even remotely close to doing a reinstall right here.

  1. I download and make a boot drive with the AMD version of Bazzite.

  2. Shut off computer

  3. Swap GPU

  4. Boot from USB drive

  5. Reinstall the correct version of Bazzite

Is there an easier way? This is what I found with my googling skills. New to Linux (1 week) so don't lynch me, please.

My new (used) longrange/hunting Tikka T3 in an MDT HS3 chassis

Sighted in at 100m. Groups suck because of crazy wind (yeah, right, it's just me). Just wanted to post my new gun.

Old Tikka T3 .223Rem in an MDT HS3 chassis I traded some ammo for. Scope is some cheap garbage I got for free, didn't lose 0 after 40 shots, but will definitely get something a little nicer in a few months. Only drawback is that the previous owner had the barrel shortened to 16". Roast away!

(The wind really is crazy in Finland at the moment, but should still group tighter than this at 100m.)

Took the plunge, regret not doing it sooner!

I've been having so many problems with Windows 11 the past year. Failing to update and games crashing constantly. Today I finally had enough and got rid of Microslop in favour of Bazzite. IT JUST WORKS straight up. Even the RGB on my RAM suddenly is controllable and adjustable to just stay static purple, I could never get it to stop pulsating all colours on W11!

I've had different flavours of Linux on my laptops over the years, but never tried gaming before. I'm so happy. I'm definitely installing Bazzite on all my devices in the near future.

My 3080 is dying, but I'm on a budget

Hello, my 3080 10GB is done for. It served me well, but as I'm switching over to Linux I'd like an AMD GPU next. I don't necessarily _need_ an upgrade from the 3080. I mainly play Elden Ring, Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3 and Sekiro and some older AAA games.

B550 mobo, CPU is a 5800X and 32Gb of DDR4 RAM

I've never had an AMD GPU, so can y'all help me pick one? I'm in Finland and prices are stupid here.

Used 6700XT are around 200€, 9060 8GB is 239€ new and a new 9060XT is 450€. A 9070XT is 680€ and up. Any other options?
