Hello all. I'm nearing the end of the albums production! I realized that there aren't enough female vocalists featured in the album up to here, so I'm going to be focusing on that more. Maybe ill do a second mouth album called "mouth women" and it only features female vocalists...

I've added a few tracks, and rearranged the track list too. I'm going to start considering a release date!

Hi guys. I know it's been awhile since I last updated y'all on mouth paper. Im still working on it, but im also finally running out of mashup ideas, which means the album is soon coming to a close!

Im thinking of a late-september release, or maybe later in the year. Im notoriously bad at promoting stuff I make, so if any of y'all have tips on that, please share!

For those who don't know what im talking about, instead of naming spells stuff like "Fireball" or "Strengthen", most spells in the SMT series follow a really interesting system of prefixes and suffixes.

For example, the suffix determines the effectiveness of the spell:
Garu (Normal)
Garula (Stronger)
Garudyne (Strongest)

And then the prefix determines the target. Me for teammates, and Ma for enemies. Of course, none means it only affects one target/teammate:
Media (heals all teammates)
Mamudoon (attacks all enemies)

I used a similar system with less confusing word choices:
Prefixes:
All (all enemies)
Us (all teammates)

Suffixes:
More (stronger)
Max (strongest)

Spells:
Pyro (Fire)
Hydro (Water)
Tetro (Earth)
Gaelo (Air)
Physica (Physical)
Natura (Animal/drain)
Paranorma (Ghost)
Celesta (Space)
Pharma (Heal)

I took a bit of a break to work on the second chapter of my indie game, but last night I added three more songs (1, 6, and 7). I've also decided on the name "Mouth Paper", as my username everywhere but here is Papermaster. I've had that name in my head for awhile. Anyways, here's the current tracklist:

Im pretty happy with 7 and 6, as they play more into the joke side of the album and less of the mashup side. 6 tells the story of Rick springfield having a female friend named Jesse, and his crush on her. My name is actually Jesse, so Jessie's Girl has been sung at me many times, along with the intro to Jessie, so those songs being similar worked well. The Buddy Holly solo also fit amazingly into it as well. 7, however, is a sudden emotional rollercoaster from the POV of Ben E King singing about his trust in Batman. Might not make sense, but it will when stuff comes out.

Some of y'all may have seen my post about me being interested in making a fan album in the style of Neil's mouth albums. I got to work right away after posting that, seeing what I could throw together. Needless to say, I am suddenly four songs in. I've made one other mashup album before, which sucked, and I'm pretty impressed by how much better these songs song.

I'm definitely going to go ahead with this side project, and will be coming up with a name for it soon.

I'm considering making a fan album based on Niel's solo mashup albums. I tried making a mashup album back in 2022, but it sucked cuz I was an unfunny teen and tried to make it on garageband on my phone. I have better technology and experience now, so maybe I could make something actually enjoyable. Would ya'll be interested in something like this?

Nowadays, when we have a question, we look it up online. In my head, I have this image of people going to a library and searching around when they wanted an answer. Is this really how it was done? What would it have been like?
