My very first gel x attempt, please be kind but give me all the feedback!

This is my first set ever! I’ve been watching so many tutorials and finally put them to use. I love the cat eye effect but I really want to improve the technical side of things.

I used aprés tips and extend gel, a brown base from dnd, and then layered some shein nude cat eye on top to give it that velvet look. finished it off with stickers because i’m not ready for freehand art yet.

Really hoping to get some feedback on my prep and shaping. I feel like i’m still struggling to get that professional "salon" finish around the edges. any comments or suggestions are super welcome! :)

Slow Avata360 pullback over the stone forest at dusk

Still pretty new flying the Avata360, so I kept it basic yesterday evening. One slow pullback rising over the stone forest, wanted to get the walkways and the pillars all in one frame before the light went.

RockSteady was on. I didn't touch the color, just trimmed it before uploading. The shaded side of the pillars stayed cleaner than I expected after the sun dipped. Edges are sharper than anything I got off my old cinewhoop at this speed. Too slow, or about right?

Swatch 4 true cool grey contours on pale cool olive skin.

Finding a contour that doesn't pull red or orange on pale cool olive skin is so difficult. I have finally collected a few that actually look like real shadows. These photos were taken in my bedroom under natural light.

From top to bottom:

  • Colorgram 02: my friend recommended this to me. The texture is a bit dry but it creates a very natural shadow effect.
  • Sheglam Soft Tan: this might look a little reddish at first. However it blends out into a beautiful natural taupe grey. Since it is a liquid formula it melts into foundation really well.
  • Holika GREIGE: this is a true cool grey. It has a cream texture and if you are looking for the perfect shadow color this is the one.
  • Espoir 1c: this one has slightly more red tones than the others. It still blends out very naturally and I love using it for my side contour.

I’ve been experimenting with a game app where you can define your own rules—basically, if you have an idea, you tell it, and it tries to turn that into a playable game. I’m really curious if something like this would interest people.

I asked ChatGPT to help me review my monthly subscriptions because my recurring charges have started getting ridiculous. Netflix, Spotify, cloud storage, AI tools, random apps I forgot I was paying for… the usual subscription creep. The funny part is that its first recommendation was to cancel ChatGPT Plus and save $20/month. Fair enough, honestly. It made me realize I rarely evaluate AI subscriptions the same way I evaluate streaming subscriptions. I question Netflix every month, but I somehow treat AI tools as “necessary” even when I’m not using them daily. For people paying for ChatGPT Plus or other AI tools, how do you decide when it’s still worth keeping? Daily usage? Work value? Better models? Or do you cancel and resubscribe only when you actually need it?

Using a so called search code to get into that a landing page on AliExpress. It’s actually legit—the list for 2026 best-selling brands is solid and covers pretty much most of iems. No direct link though, you have to use the search code. That's a bit inconvinient.

I’m planning to grab some upgrades for my Anycubic Kobra S1. Any recomendations? I am lousy at comparing prices one after another platforms.
