[Japanese > English] Text at the entrance of a Judo's Dojo

I want to know which kanjis are these ones and the meaning, the text doesn't appear again in the story so this is the only one pic about it, also story doesn't mentions the name of the dojo either.

What do you think about playing Rayman 2 on PSP?

Personally, I surrended in the half of the game, due to the game requiring L1+R1+R2 to work, you're forced to remap the control but it simply doesn't end to work, I struggled with the camera, and in this game happened to me that some things are better with direction pad while others are better with joystic.

So I decided to play the 3DS version since I have one, and the change is noticeable, not just has graphical improvement as well as differences on the level design, but also the control is far better since it was designed with the console in mind.

What about you? Do you finished this game in PSP and think it's worthy? Or for some reason you did not finish it either?

An attempt to criticise a game: Mega Man Powered Up

Release date: March 2, 2006

Genres: Action, 2D Platforms.

Developer: Capcom

Game's info: PSP Exclusive game, remake of Mega Man for NES.

Probably only in Nes and Snes, this franchise was a console seller, since when you look the sales, they're not really big when you compare them with real console sellers as for example Grand Theft Auto.

And that curse is the reason why doesn't exist Mega Man Powered Up 2, since Capcom decided the short sales didn't deserve the effort.

Even with that, this game generally appears in the PSP recomendations together with its older Brother Maverick Hunter X, so, if you have a PSP the most probably is that this game is not an unknown one for you.

The plot of the game is really easy to follow, the evil doctor Wily steals from his colleague Doctor Light his super powered robots, and now Rock, as the only one left, must equip a weapon and make Wily pay for his crimes.

And as a fan of the franchise I can assure that the game is a really rounded one.

Although the super deformed chibi style didn't fit with everyone (I know people who refuses to play it only because of it or for not being pixel art), if you can ignore, or even like that, the game has a lot to offer, and I honestly like the chibi style, since all is about execution, there are good polygon games and bad pixel art games, and this game belongs to the group of the good ones.

Focusing on gameplay, this game has a lot to offer, you can play it for weeks and still being far from finish it. It presents an old style which is a replica of the NES original game conserving some quality of life improvements, a construction mode, where you can build your own levels with pieces you unlock, a challenges mode with 100 missions where you can use the characters that you unlock in new style, and the already named new style, that is were the problems appear.

If you play with Rock (the protagonist that somehow the own game rename Mega) you will have no any problem since the game was built up with him on mind.

So you must finish the game in the 3 difficulty levels, where every one of them unlock a more powerful version of him, as Mega Man C, able to slide and charge shot, ideal for hard mode.

The problem is with the Robot Masters, that you unlock by defeating them with buster only. The thing is that the playable Robot Masters sounds as a good idea more than really is.

In a franchise famous for its multi weapon mechanic, someone thought it was a good idea to make you to play with characters with a single one attack for all the game (even when they have more than one when you fight them) and is not a particularly strong one, plus they're really gimmicky, so you will face situations as being unable to hit the enemy in front of you with Guts man if the enemy is short, or being disarmed with Oilman, because he can only shot once and if he doesn't slide over his shot, it stays in the floor.

Even worse, they conserve their mechanic of being weak against another robot master so good luck defeating fireman with oilman on hard, because you must hit him 28 times while he blow you up in like 3 shots.

There are other questionable issues with playable characters, as Roll, having a combo attack but somehow she is unable to uses it against bosses, and since she uses a short range weapon that makes her one of the most ineffective characters in the entire game.

Maybe someone can say that Mega Man is supposed to be hard, but there is a difference between being hard and being bothering, the playable robot masters are bothering. Especially because the don't give you an incentive for play with them, no new weapons, no new story, since all the 11 playable characters have the same basic plot, just with different speeches and even the ending is exactly the same one.

Not only that, but the games feels as streetched out, since for achieve 100% completion you must finish the new style mode a total of 33 times, and no matter how much you like the game, that is too much.

So, is Mega Man Powered Up a good game? It definitely is, but it feels as it needed more cooking time in order to give to player a more rounded experience, and for what I read on its moment, not all the people adventures to go full 100% completion on it.

An attempt to critic a game: Digimon Adventure

Release date: January 17, 2013

Genres: RPG, Dungeon Crawler

Game's info: PSP Exclusive game, and Japan exclusive (Has a full translation patch)

I must say that I did not play Digimon games until relatively recently and I began with the psx ones... and I must say all of them are awful, they're the kind of games that you love only because you played them on your childhood.

So I was a bit afraid with this one because I really love Digimon Adventure, and it was more important to me than other franchises as Dragon Ball.

But the game is all what I think a Digimon game should be, is really faithful to the anime (has differences obviously) and the graphic department is really well managed for a psp game, since all the characters look exactly as their anime counterparts, however, they barely interact with scenery (for example, in the anime Mimi kicks a big gear in a ruin that makes an entire island to move, her game's conterpart can't do that, but game pretends that she did) and that is noticeable.

Voice acting is good and seems that they used the anime voice actors again (I saw the anime in mexican spanish so I'm not so sure).

In the playable department, the game is good but not perfect, is relatively easy and battles are fun, also is one of those RPG where you can see the enemies on map, so you can decide if fight or run away from them, and you will not notice difficulty peaks until Vamdemon Saga, that is like the half of the game.

But when the game wants to be hard, is fricking hard, there are 3 battles on it particularly hard (Apocalymon, Gankumon and Diablomon X3) that will demand farming from you, for what you have some especial levels called "digital dungeons" where you can get especial items, but there is a point where these levels become tiring since all of them look exactly the same (like that pocket universe where Homer Simpson get lost in one halloween especial in classic seasons).

And the game seems to last too long too, since besides to adapt the entire anime and the famous ova "Our war game" has an extra (an long) chapter that doesn't add nothing to the experience and is only there for fan service and I honestly finished it only for completism.

The game also has a game+ that I don't recommend at all because you do all the game again with your latest states but the foes are the same, meaning you go for all the levels oneshoting all your enemies.

The game is a good experience if you are a Digimon Adventure fan, and I would play it again, but I just hope the other Digimon game in the console: Digimon World Re:Digitize be better than this one, since doesn't adapt an anime so has more design freedom.

Is Pocket Fighter supposed to be an easy game?

I'm not the best player when we talk about fighting games, in fact I directly suck and I struggle to connect with them due to difficulty curvature.

Still, even I can notice that there are games that are easier than others, and so I can enjoy some of them.

However, to my surprise I must say this game has no mercy with you, I thought that due to its chibi aesthetic should be some kind of "introduction for new players" and this is how I find it laveled in some web posts about it, and when I investigate about it, I read is supposed to be easy.

Even with that, I find commentaries here and there where people say they were surprised with game's difficulty being higher than they thought, even saying is a mistake to think is a game for children.

I even played for first time some days ago Darkstalkers for PSP, and to my surprise I was even able to finish a campaign with Felicia, thing I was unable to do in this game.

So, is this game hard or I simply suck as player so much I can't with it?

Also feels that happens the same with its puzzle counterpart: Super Puzzle fighter II Turbo.

Problem with memory card.

Today I noticed that my memory card is having a problem, basically I'm playing and the memory disconects itself, console says "there is no memory card" or "there is not game data", the only thing that solves the issue is turn off the console, extract the card and insert it again.

I did not tried extracting the memory with the console turned on.

What could be the issue?, it could be the memory stick pro duo adaptor? The memory itself is relatively new and pc has not problems reading it so far.

Maybe the issue is ocationed because recently I extracted the memory many times in order to test some games on it, I don't know.

A lot of people have talked previously of how this battle is a mess in the story department, but I have not seen many comments about how the design of the battle is disappointing.

To begin with, the battle is absurdly easy, even against Awaken Zero, it must be your first time with this game to struggle in this battle, also feels short, I have seen people talking about how they finished the fight before the OST gets to the best part.

When you fight against zero, they limited to copy-paste the same movements from X2 without add nothing new, and for awaken they only added donut shots and that's it, for example, in the classic saga, you fight against Bass in 7 and in 8 again, but the 2 battles are far different because they were conscient than PSX was able to do more things than SNES.

It's not better against X, he uses the ultimate armor, and you say me he doesn't use the nova strike at least once?

Honestly feels as if developers saved up the difficulty spike for Sigma's battle, when this is the battle that you hyped it up for 3 games, another change it need is that this one should have been AFTER Sigma, not before, this is the battle we came to see, you still can say Sigma survived his battle and try to attack them a last time but in this order is as if Zero saga forced you to fight Harpuia a last time after Copy X.
