Complete woodworking/finishing noob: How should I approach resurfacing these old speakers?

I’ve had these 1966 Klipsch H700’s since I was ~13 and they’ve always looked a little beat up, so I figured it was finally time to look into resurfacing them. I couldn’t really find a simple/cohesive guide, and I intend to hold onto these so I really want to make sure I don’t mess them up. For some context, i’m in college and don’t have immediate access to a garage/workbench or anything of that nature, but I should be able to get a rotary polisher from a family friend if that would be useful. From my very limited understanding, I think I should be sanding them down, applying wood stain (maybe?), and then a top coat/sealant? I hope to keep things on a fairly small budget if possible, but I really don’t know where to start/what to buy. If someone could point me in the right direction or give me some steps that would be greatly appreciated.

Don’t buy tickets to M3F fest (yet)‼️

Not to state the obvious, but given that Jane immediately posted that story when the lineup was announced I think she’ll do it sooner rather than later. Correct me if i’m wrong, but if you buy tickets and the lineup gets changed after I don’t think that’s grounds for a refund. If you plan on going to see Jane, just wait for a response from M3F or confirmation that Jane will be performing.

First week on tretinoin, starting at 0.1%, thoughts?

My buddy came back from mexico recently and he was able to get some tretinoin for me. He got the strongest one they had so I didn’t really have any other choice, but I have no complaints so far, which feels a bit surprising because I know my routine isn’t exactly optimal. The only product i’ve bought for tretinoin specifically is the aestura atobarrier cream, which I got after the first night.

My current night routine is beauty of joseon ginseng essence toner while my face is still damp post-shower, wait ~10 minutes, thin layer of mixsoon bean essence, wait ~10 minutes, 0.1% tret (applying for the second day in a row tonight to see how it goes since my skin was fine with every other day so far, although I know that’s a bit early), wait ~15 minutes, then finishing off with the atobarrier cream. I finished with the ordinary hyaluronic acid moisturizing cream on the first night and didn’t get any irritation.

Day routine is the same thing but without the tret, and beauty of joseon sunscreen if i’ll be outside more than 5 minutes.

Prior to tretinoin, my day/night routine was just the toner+bean essence, with the same 5-min sunscreen rule.

This could be naïve, but I feel like my skin is already improving? I’ve had zero irritation, less redness/pimples, and when I started bringing up the tretinoin to my coworker yesterday she said she noticed that my skin was looking better. The only possible reason for my skin holding up that I can think of is the two cycles of accutane i’ve had, but the last one was ~2 years ago, and I have no clue if accutane experience is supposed to make tretinoin easier.

What should I do to improve my routine? Would I actually be seeing a difference from the tretinoin this early, or could it just be a result of me being more attentive to how i’m treating my skin? My toner is almost out and I already plan on replacing it with something more ideal for tretinoin.

Why does it feel like my pivot is more efficient than my proxy?

Just got a new proxy a few days ago, and i’ve noticed that there’s more residue left over from dabs compared to if I were using my pivot. I’m not taking bigger dabs, if anything i’m trying to hit it as much as possible each cycle in hopes that I see barely any residue. Im still buying top shelf stuff that normally doesn’t leave much in the chamber, and I also moved my 3mm terp pearl over. I generally dab at a low temp (~470 1min currently) and always used the hidden low temp setting on my pivot. My only theory is that because the airflow outside naturally makes the pivot spew out vapor, it’s actually more wasteful instead of more efficient. Even if that is the case, i’m somehow not able to fully clear a chamber with this thing and I feel like I should easily be able to.
