Bose L1 8 Pro - enough for a farmers market?

Hi all - I am playing at a farmers market in a month or so, and I am worrying whether my sound system is going to be loud enough - I have a Bose L1 8 Pro and it seems like it is ok for a small crowd but might not penetrate very far into the market. Any advice/experiences?

I have an old powered speaker setup I could use to boost the sound if needed but I dont want to face the feedback/setup hassle if I can avoid it!

Has the world changed in the last couple of years? Perhaps it is ageism?

Every time I go into a public place like Kroger I am starting to feel it a kind of low key disdain from strangers, especially the people who are working there.

I don't think I have changed anything in my interactions, but there seems to be a lot less patience and warmth. Is it ageism?

Has anyone noticed anything similar?

Amateur hour question : How do you know when you are "ready" or "good enough" to play live?

I am just curious - many of you seasoned musicians must have gone through the early stages of wondering if you are good enough or ready to start performing. Do you all have any tips for someone trying to overcome that hurdle?
