Do you all want Halo Wars 3 if it was done by an external studio like the last 2 Halo Wars were?

Seeing the other post asking if we "think" we'll get Halo Wars 3, and seeing a lot of nos. I was hoping to see more yeses and I thought I'd see.

Also, what suggestions would you have on Halo Wars 3? Mine would be make Halo Wars 3 in the gameplay style of Age of Empires II or Axis & Allies where you don't have a static HQ placement on the map, and the individual buildings on the HQ could be placeable anywhere as well, if that makes sense.

I know I'd love a Halo Wars 3, how about you?

It's odd when you post something in a subreddit that you know that the person the subreddit is for would agree on, just to have it removed by mods for some reason.

It's almost like there's an odd agenda going on, and some leftist mods don't want people talking about these odd happenings in the world the past ~30 years.

What do you think?

u/FrosttheVII — 11 days ago

What else would you add to this?

I'd just put this together today, and though I think I have most of the basics on it. What would be some suggestions to add? (Black/White Square/Triangle/Circle helps to indicate the yin/yang and the Cardinal/Fixed/Mutable of each sign)

An Egyptian/Celtic correlation with Destiny: "Men, too, are moulded by their desires, but unlike the beasts and birds, their yearnings are circumscribed by the laws of fate and destiny and the law of sowing and reaping. These, the desires, modified by the laws, are called Enidvadew"

It seems like the game between Gardener and Winnower has a name called "Enidvadew". I don't know if this has been talked about but I found something interesting in a book called "The Kolbrin Bible" which is a integrated collection of 6 Celtic and 6 Egyptian Books.

The first 6 Books are Egyptian and the second 6 Books are Celtic (these were held in Glastonbury Abbey up until King Henry had the abbey torched. It was moved to a safe place and put together later. The introduction explains it's origins and happenings a bit better than I).

I thought I'd share a small piece of it. This is from "The Book of Creation (CRT), chapter 5 "The Beginning". Tell me what correlations you find (I know of some already, but thought it may be fun for you all to find and read them first personally). One hint is I copied up until the last word of this segment for a reason: what land?

~~~~~~~
"Chapter Five – In the Beginning"
CRT:5:1 Now, the Children of God were moulded by the Hand of God, which is called Awen, and it manifested according to their desires. For all things that have life are moulded by Awen. The fox, shivering in the coldlands, longs for warmth and so its cubs have coats. The owl, clumsy in the dark, longs to see its prey more clearly, and in generations of longing, the desire is granted. Awen makes everything what it is, for all things change under its law.
CRT:5:2 Men, too, are moulded by their desires, but unlike the beasts and birds, their yearnings are circumscribed by the laws of fate and destiny and the law of sowing and reaping. These, the desires, modified by the laws, are called Enidvadew. Unlike the beasts and birds, this, in man, is something relating to him rather than to his ofspring, though they are not untouched by it.
CRT:5:3 Destiny may be likened to a man who must travel to a distant city, whether or not he wishes to make the journey, the destination being his destiny. He may choose whether to go by way of a river or by way of a plain; whether across mountains or through forests, on foot or horseback, slow or fast, and whatever befalls because of this decision is fate. If a tree falls on him because he chose the forest path, it was fated, for luck is an element of fate. Destiny leaves no choice; fate gives limited choice which may be good or bad, but it cannot be averted. What is fated must be, for at no point can there be any turning back.
CRT:5:4 The circumstances, Enidvadew, of the traveller conform to the law of sowing and reaping; he may travel in comfort or pain, happily or sorrowfully, with strength or weakness, heavily burdened or lightly burdened, well prepared or ill prepared. When the destination is set according to the degrees of a former life, then the circumstances of the journey should conform with the desire. For what use is it desiring a great destination when the law of sowing and reaping decrees that an intolerable burden must be carried on the way? Far better to have lesser aspirations. The decrees of fate are many; the decrees of destiny are few.
CRT:5:5 When the Earth was young and the race of man still as children, there were fertile, green pastures in the lands where all is now sand and barren wasteland. In the midst of it was a gardenland, which lay against the edge of the Earth, eastward towards the sunrising, and it was called Meruah, meaning The Place of The Garden on the Plain. It lay at the foot of a mountain, which was cleft at its rising, and out of it flowed the river ofTardana, which watered the plain. From the mountain, on the other side, ran the river Kal, which watered the plain through the land of Kaledan. The river Nara flowed westward and then turned back to flow around the gardenland.
CRT:5:6 It was a fertile place, for out of the ground grew every kind of tree that was good for food and every tree that was pleasant to the sight. Every herb that could be eaten and every herb that flowered was there. The Tree of Life, which was called Glasir, having leaves of gold and copper, was within the Sacred Enclosure. There, too, was the Great Tree of Wisdom bearing the fruits of knowledge granting the choice and ability to know the true from the false. It is the same tree, which can be read as men read a book. There also was the Tree of Trespass, beneath which grew the Lotus of Rapture, and in the centre was The Place of Power, where God made His presence known.
CRT:5:7 Time passed, and The Children of God were grown strong and upright under the tempering hammer of God, and Earth, The Anvil of God, became more kindly. All was pleasant and food plentiful, but life palls in such places, for it is against the nature of man to flourish in these circumstances. Earth is not for pleasurable dallying, it is a place of teaching, trial and testing.
CRT:5:8 The Children of God were not yet the heirs of God, nor inheritors of godhood, but there was one among them who had almost completed the Pilgrimage of Enidvadew. He had unravelled the tangled skeins of fate and traversed the tumultuous seas of life to the many ports of destiny, and having paid the debts of sowing and reaping, was one triumphant over Enidvadew.
CRT:5:9 He was Fanvar, son of Auma and Atem. He was wise and knew all things; he beheld mysteries and the secret things hidden from the eyes of other men. He saw sunrise and the sunsetting in their splendour, but longed for things not realisable in the place where he lived. So because he walked with God, he was culled out from his kind and brought to Meruah, The Gardenplace.
CRT:5:10 He came to it across the mountains and wastelands, arriving after many days' journeying. Weary and close to death because of the privations he sufered, he could just reach the refreshing waters, from which he drank deeply, and filled with exhaustion, he slept. In his sleep, he dreamed, and this was the manner of his dreaming: he saw before him a being of indescribable glory and majesty, who said, "I am the God above all, even above the God of your people, I am that which fulfils the aspirations of men, and I am that in which they are fulfilled. You, having traversed all the Circles of Enidvadew and established your worthiness, are now made my governor on Earth, and you shall rule all things here, guiding them in my ways, leading them ever upwards into glory. This will be your labour and, behold, here is your reward."
CRT:5:11 A cloud mist seemed to gather about The Glorious Being, enfolding Him so He was no longer visible. Then, the mist gradually cleared, and the man saw another form emerging. It was that of a woman, but one such as Fanvar had never seen before, beautiful beyond his conception of beauty, with such perfection of form and grace that he was dumbfounded. Yet, the vision was not substantial; she was a wraith, an ethereal being.
CRT:5:12 The man awoke and sought food from the fruits about him and, having refreshed himself, wandered about the garden. Wherever he went he saw the wraith, but was unafraid because she smiled encouragingly, bringing comfort to his heart. He built himself a shelter and grew strong again, but always, wherever he went, the wraith was not far distant.
CRT:5:13 One day, near the edge of the garden, he fell asleep in the heat of the day and awoke to find himself surrounded by the Sons of Bothas, not true men but Yoslings, kinsfolk to the beasts of the forest. Before they could take his strength and wisdom, he loosed himself among them, slaying some in his rage and might before the rest ran away. When it was done, he sat himself down beneath a great tree, for he was wounded and blood gushed out from his side and gathered thickly beside him. He became faint, falling into a deep sleep, and while he slept, a wondrous thing happened. The wraith came and lay beside him, taking blood from his wound upon herself so it congealed about her. Thus, the Spiritbeing became clothed with flesh, born of congealing blood, and being sundered from his side, she rose a mortal woman.
CRT:5:14 In his heart, Fanvar was not at rest, because of her likeness, but she was gentle, ministering to him with solicitude and, being skilful in the ways of healing, she made him whole. Therefore, when he had grown strong again, he made her Queen of The Gardenland, and she was so called even by our fathers, who named her Gulah, but Fanvar called her Aruah, meaning helpmate. In our tongue, she is called The Lady of Lanevid.
CRT:5:15 Now, God enlightened Fanvar concerning the woman, saying, "This woman was drawn from her compatible abode in a realm of beautythrough the yearning aspirations of men. Her coming accomplishes something, which would otherwise have taken countless generations, for Earth is more fitting for men to learn manly things than for women to learn womanly ones. This woman is not as other women, being in no way like yourself; every hair of her head is unlike that of a man, every drop of blood and every particle of flesh is that of a woman and quite unlike that of a man. Her thoughts and desires are diferent; she is neither coarse nor uncouth, being altogether of another, more refined realm. Her daughters will walk proudly, endowed with every womanly perfection and grace. Delicacy, modesty and charm will be the lovely jewels enhancing their womanliness. Henceforth, man will be truly man, and woman will be truly woman, men being girded with manliness and women clothed with womanliness. Yet, they shall walk together, hand in hand, towards the ascending glory before them, each the helpmate and inspiration of the other." So Fanvar and Aruah lived in contentment amid bounty and fruitfulness, with freedom from aflictions and sickness. They delighted in each other and, because of their diferences, were drawn closer together.
CRT:5:16 Aruah brought but one thing with her when she crossed the misty frontier, the treasure of Lanevid, the jewel contained in the moonchalice, the stone of inspiration fashioned by the desires of men. Never owned by any but the daughters of Aruah, this, the Lengil, Aruah gave to Fanvar as her dowry and her pledge of purity and exclusiveness. She followed the ways of the cradleland, not the ways of Earth.
CRT:5:17 Within the Gardenland was the Sacred Enclosure, the domain of Fanvar and Aruah, forbidden to those of The Children of God who had now come to this place. It contained the Chalice of Fulfilment, granting any who drank from it the realisation of all things to which they aspired. None might drink from this, save Fanvar and Aruah. Also, there was the Cauldron of Immortality, containing an essence distilled from the fruits growing in the garden, and this guarded against mortal ills.
CRT:5:18 Aruah brought forth a son by Fanvar, and he was called Rautoki, and a daughter who was called Armena. Each knew the mysteries of magic and the ways of the stars. In the fullness of time, Rautoki married among the daughters of the Sons of God and had two sons, Enanari and Nenduka. It was Enanari who first taught the weaving of cloth from plants, and Nenduka was a mighty hunter. Armena also married among the Sons of God and brought forth a son who was called Belenki and daughters calledAnanua and Mameta. Ananua knew the making of pots and things of clay, and Mameta the taming of beasts and birds.
CRT:5:19 Nenduka had two sons, Namtara and Kainan. Namtara had two sons also, Nenduka and Dadam, before dying in the fullness of manhood. Belenki married Enidva and had a son called Enkidua and a daughter called Estartha, meaning Maid of the Morning, and she became a great teacher among The Children of God. This was the Estartha who became the first Moonmaiden, being later called Lady of The Morning Star. Enkidua had a daughter, and her name was Maeva.
CRT:5:20 Outside the Sacred Enclosure, known as Gisar, but forming a gateway into it was a circular structure of stones called Gilgal, and within this was a shrine, wherein was kept a sacred vessel called Gwinduiva. This was like a goblet and was made of rainbow-hued crystal set in gold with pearls. Above the cup appeared a shimmering moon-coloured mist like a thin, cold flame. At certain times, when the Heavens were in a proper position, the Gwinduiva was filled with moondew and potions from the cauldron within the Sacred Enclosure, making a pale honey-coloured liquor, and this the people drank from the goblet. However, there were diferent proportions in the vessel for those of the blood of Fanvar and Aruah and those who were Children of God, but not of their blood. It was the potion from the Gwinduiva which kept sickness and disease away from those who drank it.
CRT:5:21 Dadam the Firstfather married Leitha, and they had a son called Herthew. Dadam then married Maeva who had a daughter, not by him, and this was Gwineva, the cuckoochild fathered by Abrimenid of Gwarthon, son of Namtenigal, whom we call Lewid the Darkfather.
CRT:5:22 About the land of The Children of God was the wasteland where Yoslings, called The Children of Zumat, which means They Who Inherit Death, dwelt. Amongst these, Namtenigal, the wily hunter, was the most wise and cunning; he alone was unafraid of The Children of God, and he alone dared enter the Gardenland."
The Immortal Monarch amongst Immortal Monarchs
What better time to post than the first/second day of the Leonine Month of August.
12 years of Destiny. That's dang near 1/3 of my life. Yet I still remember before even the D1 Beta. Having been a Spartan-II before Destiny came out I knew as soon as I saw the reveal trailer that I was going to be a Titan, and I embraced everything but the crayon propaganda from Day 1. A male Exo Titan, and I do have a male Human Hunter and a female Awoken Warlock, but I haven't had the most spare time to play them more recently.
I remember getting the Exotic Faction Class Items for all 3 characters. In Destiny 2 during Year 1's Faction Rallies, I obtained the Exotic Ornaments but also, if you pledged to all 3 Factions at least once during Season on the Warmind (S3), you were able to obtain a sidearm called "Peace by Consensus". A consensus that disappeared both when The Speaker died in The Red War, but was further broken down when Lakshmi-2 (Maya Sundaresh?) decided a coup was needed during Season of the Splicer (Season 14).
Ever since Arach Jalal and Executor Hideo had to leave The Last City, I'd hoped at some point the City Factions could have redeemed themselves and returned into the fold. Even moreso when the Tharsis Factions came about in Renegades. Imagine the Totality Division+Caital Cabal working with New Monarchy, The Pikers+House Light working with Dead Orbit, and Tharsis Reformation+Luzaku(?) working with Future War Cult under alternative leadership (we heard a couple during some of the broadcasts during Season of the Splicer). Or shoot maybe an alternative City Faction that's unknown (Grimoire Card: "Vex Mysteries 3 - Vault of Glass". There were more than 4 other City Factions if you include The Concordat).
I'd hoped that maybe we would have had a way to salvage things by maybe having Eido or Mithrax maybe knowing what happened to Executor Hideo's sister Ellie during the Eliksni-Human Wars (Twilight Gap and those areas) and maybe being able to find her. And maybe through Arach Jalal, they could have gone to exploring was Eliksni homes amongst other things. One of my favorite hopes of the Factions would have been to maybe see what each of their individual HQs were in the Sol System and what each of them looked like. I feel they were maybe alluding to a future potential in that with the Factions having banners in the Pale Heart's Lost Sector.
But with development stopped, I'll never know.
With that though, as an Executor Titan from Day 1, I felt like I should finish out a story of my own in Destiny that I'd been playing in the background of everything. Since they decided to stop with Factions after Season 3 (with a sprinkle in Splicer and Edge of Fate when a couple armors and weapons were updated [don't get me started on Inbound Surveillance and Trendsetter, and Solemn Lie]). But hey, Faction Rallies got repackaged into Festival of the Lost a couple years back. Remember Lost Sector Event?
With the last 9 pictures, I have Houseless New Monarchian, and The People's Monarch.
Houseless New Monarchian is something I put together as a "flag of peace" between New Monarchy and Eliksni on my behalf. Executor may have been somewhat warranted on his emotion, his actions didn't speak for all New Monarchians, and I wanted to make amends ever since Season 14 almost 5 years ago.
The People's Monarch is what I felt was supposed to happen years later irl. But we saw how that played out when the news dropped around May 15th. I got the Immortal Title and in turn the armor set. This set is to designate what happened in my head cannon after I made amends with the Eliksni with the Houseless New Monarchian set and some talks amongst leadership. After 12 years, I felt it should have been a possibility. But alas, I'll never see those storyline play out.
I hope you enjoy a dumb little visual journey of my past 12 years as your local New Monarchian Guardian ⚪️🔺️💠
Destiny 2
I just wanted to say, I'm proud of you all the past few weeks.
I know we may or may not get Destiny reinstated, but way to show that Destiny is still an active community.
I pray The Light finds a way to revive Destiny development. The world is a little darker place without a growing future in it 🔺️💠
Help me cope
Please? As a D1 Day1 New Monarchian Guardian it's been a rough month and a half since May 15th and learning Destiny development was coming to a halt. I'd been hoping for reprised City Faction Gear since both Season of the Splicer and Episodes began.
So when I saw that the scout rifle Inbound Surveillance had the exact scheme as Song of Justice VI but different default, name and lore, as well as having been the only Scout Rifle of that Archetype (beyond Exotic reuse somewhat).
I have to ask, why would Dead Orbit Weapons and New Monarchy weapons be altered aesthetically and lorewise while keeping the Faction emblems and imagery on them (for instance the default skin, lore, and names of: DO: Solemn Lie, and NM: Inbound Surveillance and Trendsetter [add other Faction skinned alternative weapons that you may see too).
Yet, the Future War Cult weapons are exact reprisals of their Year 1 versions? Do you think there's deeper lore implications? Because I can't think of why they'd be changed but still have the Faction emblems on them and I would like them reverted to their Faction versions with updated elements and perks. Their original lore felt like it'd be perfectly aligned with the June 9th theme. Their updated names and lore come off oddly and are hard to decipher in a lore sense.
Secondly, with this grimoire from D1 ( https://www.ishtar-collective.net/cards/mystery-the-vault-of-glass-3 ) and the City Faction leaders and guardians exiled out beyond The Last City walls. What are some theories that you may have had of the Factions after Season of the Splicer and having had the Guardian Games 2024 Skimmer donated by Lysander of the Concordat (a pre-Destiny 1 City Faction who's banners and boxes are still scattered at Bannerfall.
If it were ever possible, I'd wish they'd revert the altered City Faction gear back to their Faction lore, but keep the updated perk rolls and origin traits.
When I have some spare time I'll add some speculations of my own in the comments.
And a couple other added topics, but they've been segmented for hopefully better reading and discussion of anyone would so choose after reading.
I have loved Destiny since the Destiny 1 reveal in Spring of 2014. I want to continue to play Destiny 2, and I hop in occasionally nowadays. But you gutted me (and I'm assured in feeling like others who may play in a similar way, not just in a human faction aesthetic, but with whatever other similar pre-Echoes themes).
Pre-Episodes, I was using my Season 14 Sovereign armors and New Monarchy weapons, and Seasons 3, 2, & 1 New Monarchy weapons. They've always been my jam. Both the armors' and weaponrys' flavor-texts and themes, and the way they feel playing with.
Over the next few dlcs, episodes, and expansions can we please update/3.0 a lot of the past seasons' themes of armor? I understand you're starting with raid armors and such which I appreciate because it helps out the raid armors and weapons fans, but please don't forget us other Destiny niche theme fans out here please.
You don't have to read past this if you don't like. I wanted to cover multiple aspects of the game as a long-time Destiny fan. I bought Marathon. I've bought every expansion deluxe version and was even fortunate enough to get the collectors editions of the first releases of both Destiny 1 with Dinklebot Ghost, and Destiny 2 with Hawthorne Bag, which has been a very beloved bookbag and ghost companion for myself.
Alas I'm somewhat rambling, but I hope you get my point.
Now to opinion 2:
Destiny 2's worlds are vast. The comeback potential is there. Bungie, you could have your cake and eat it too with both Destiny 2 and Marathon. I'm excited for both the potentials of stories for both of the games, but in Destiny's case and because I already see the potential in Marathon as new maps come out, that'll initially help with PvP.
And Renegades has also helped that with the Invasions game modes. With the plethora of past DLCs that could be recoded and brought back so we could run New Lights through all of Destiny 2 history. This would go a long way.
Plus, bringing back Destiny 1 locations with a Destiny 2 remix is a way of going about all of this too so those who may have never played Destiny 1 could be brought up to speed by the other vets also playing.
There's so much potential on expansion of stories into the worlds we have, there's also so much potential in PvP maps and pve and gambit locations with the investment in both the release of Renegades and it's differing control variations, and spawn locations and such.
These are just a few thoughts of what I think and would like for Destiny 2's future.
Thank you for your time.
-------
I edit here because I had though this was going to be a quick ending, but these separations allow for easier reading between subjects I think, and hope it does of course lol. But here next is an opinion on Human Factions:
1: Human Factions and the Renegades Alien Ally Factions could help in bringing an end to Maya Sunday's. And Future War Cult could find a new leader in some way. Would there be a way of getting a better Lakshmi through a Lakshmi-3? Just a thought lol.
Also, you said you couldn't do anything with Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, and New Monarchy or even The Concordat but Lysander donated the first Skimmers in Guardian Games a couple years back. Please once again hear me out:
Concordat, Dead Orbit, Future War Cult and New Monarchy leadership and members have all been expulsed. Some of us still remain.
I see you wearing those Dead Orbit, Future War Cult and New Monarchy emblems fellow Faction runners😁
Bungie said they couldn't do Faction Rallies, but they used that same formula in of Lost Sector runs within the the last couple years in Festival of the Lost. I find some humor in that.
Over the next few dlcs and expansions you should do this with them:
All 4 Factions (Concordat, Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, and New Monarchy) have their own social area about the size of the Lighthouses of Destiny 1 and Destiny 2.
Concordats' Social Hub would be someplace you could traverse to on Mars.
Dead Orbit could have theirs on Kepler.
Future War Cult on Venus or Nessus.
and New Monarchy in the EDZ somewhere.
All of these suggestions in location. But them being integrated into the PvE areas of the worlds currently, or even possibly integrated into potential new worlds and locations would be cool too.
It would give options on more content down the line in some way. If Darkness beings existing, and Light being existing as well, we still have to clean up the Solar System, and imagine potentials to going beyond our Oort Cloud.
Expand on Destiny in the way you are, but also please take these into consideration. I broke them up to kind of make it more manageable to read. Thank you all who have made Destiny awesome the past 12 years, and even those who have made Marathon and especially those who "swayed" me into getting into Bungie during Halo:CE when my friend down the road showed me the other side of the Halo ring in the first level.
Due to enjoying it I'd even tried Marathon Durandal on Xbox 360, and at some point if I ever feel inclined I have the other classic Marathon games on Steam.
Thank you if you have taken the time to read all of this. I don't often take the time aside to comment or create posts much anymore, but please take these into consideration as a long-time fan.
Find cool ways to expand both with new worlds, but also on the worlds we have.
And please don't forget to update all of the themes from Pre-Episodes like Human Factions, and other such things as mentioned before. Again, thank you and I hope you all are having a wonderful 2026 so far.
