I’m on Xbox, seen a few posts saying tf2 servers are struggling? What’s going on?

I love rugby league. Most people on this subreddit do as well.

But it’s hard to love it when it’s in a downward spiral and any opportunity for growth is not taken. The main example is the RLWC being on pay-per-view, and the sheer lack of publication around it

If we look at the recent world athletics championships, (a relatively niche sport), BBC etc have effectively promoted large numbers of athletes. Amy Hunt has become a relatively well known name. If England got to the final, and it was on BBC, even if no one watched it, by virtue of social media, they’d see names like Jake Connor, Junior Nsemba, Herbie Farnworth etc. Premier sports doesn’t have the reach to promote it. Probably a good number of casual rugby league fans don’t even know it’s on!

Contrast this with how ITV and the various bodies have promoted the union World Cup. I barely watch union, I’ll only watch some of the Six Nations, but yet I’m pretty enticed by all the stuff I’ve seen put out about the tournament. I’m willing to bet that regardless of the result, some new household names will be made

It’s just a gut punch that once again as a sport we can’t capitalise on our potential. Look at how many clubs have had financial issues this year. Halifax, North Wales, Fev, etc. If we keep going in the trajectory we’re going we’ll collapse as a sport. We’ve got to do something soon

I’m well annoyed by this new tv deal, or what it’s rumoured to be

Love Rugby League effectively implied that premier sports will have 3 games, Sky will have three games. If so, is there just gonna be one none televised game? Will it have video ref?

But why should the average fan have to fork out an extra £130 quid? Also, very few people have premier sports and therefore the amount of new fans per season is probably going to decrease. Without wanting to get stereotypical, a sizeable portion of the fanbase is in relatively deprived areas and may not be able to spend that money, ultimately reducing the amount of people watching the sport

Also, who will broadcast the NRL in UK? Whilst I don’t watch most of the games, I do watch as many of the finals as i can, and origin

Just seems stupid to me, sacrificing fan engagement for a small amount extra funding

I’ve spent past few weeks trying to complete A New America. Great level but exceptionally tricky. I’ve become terrified of the moment MLO burst in through doors to come and find you

I was walking round my house earlier and someone slammed open a door AND I FUCKING JUMPED BECAUSE I WAS READY TO BE FLASHBANGED BY SOME MLO PRICK

Later I went out for a walk. Got back and the door was locked. MY HEAD WAS FUCKING SAYING “PICK LOCK” AND “STACK UP”

Anyone else having similar experiences?

I’m a massive fan of the RoN soundtrack and in particular how its applied to certain levels

Take 23mbs, generally a fairly action packed map that isn’t really gonna be tension filled. The music fits that perfectly. Levels like hide and seek have dramatic music to fit the impact of things you see >!women in the container!<

Sometimes no music is best, I.e. relapse. Relapse terrifies me because it’s a hospital, somewhere I’ve been in my life, and it really feels like a genuine terror attack. With A New America, because the situation is a bit far fetched, no music wouldn’t have the same affect.

The music in ANA is great, really cinematic and it makes you feel as if you’re playing through a dramatic story, rather than a terror attack, which is a huge bonus for the level

Overall great soundtrack design, tbh great design in pretty much everything creative, such as lore etc

Someone help me put together best loadout for me and my team

I’m running lethals because fuck MLO

I was planning on running .300 blackout, probably LVAR due to suppressor, heavy armour and a mirror gun. Unsure about equipment

I’ll keep the same gun on my teammates but unsure on the rest

Any advice is greatly appreciated

The players who won awards during the World Cup are only from Spain and to me that’s mostly because they won the tournament. It should be a judge of quality throughout the tournament

I can agree with Cubarsi winning golden boy, and maybe Rodri being player of the tournament but imo it should be mbappe

But then the one that irritates me is golden glove. Unai Simon is a good keeper and kept 7/8 clean sheets. But that’s not too difficult when you faced ten shots on target in the game. I don’t think he was the goalkeeper who was the best in the tournament. I think Martinez made some great saves, including that free kick from Yamal, and was the best keeper despite the goals he conceded.

It should be primarily based on who played best, and not just who was the best player on the winning team

EDIT: I did not realise golden glove was based on most clean sheets, I thought it was simply a panel deciding who was the best goalkeeper

Unsure 100% if a glitch or not, might be a feature

I’ve sunk 5 hours of my life into trying to complete ANA but have not succeeded. I clear the first two floors, but end up dying because my ai are stupid/my battery dies/the MLO come through a door without me knowing etc.

In a number of these runs I’ve noticed that the leaning function doesn’t work properly. Initially I believed this was because I was injured in a certain place so couldn’t lean, but I hadn’t seen this before in any other mission. Then after clearing floor one and not meeting any enemies, it happened again

Has anyone else had similar experiences/is it a bug or part of game etc?

Also if anyone has any tips for ANA feel free to share before I go more insane than Gerard Scott

Is anyone else irritated by the ad break before the game? I don’t mean annoyed by the ads, I mean annoyed but the cut back to the studio after some ads, Mark Pougatch then saying “blah blah blah the match is up next don’t go anywhere” for 5 seconds, and then one final advert. Sky do it as well and I can’t understand why? Surely from a commercial standpoint you wanna have more ads, so why run a short segment where the presenter slightly waffles about the game?

For clarity I’m on about the final ad break, the one before the players walk out, not the one between the anthems and kick off (which irritates me even more)
