Full or queen with occasional sleepovers

I just got approved for a tiny studio <200sqft and currently have a queen sized bed. I’m debating if I should sell it to my friend who’s moving into my current place and get a full or just stick with the queen. I love the queen size but I’m worried it would take too much space. Also my girlfriend stays over maybe once a week. She’s 5’1 and I’m 5’7 so we’re not big but I’ve never slept on a full so not sure how that’s like lol

The Cove Reviews?

Can't seem to find anything about this building, at least nothing posted in the last few years. I was recently approved for a reretal unit here so I'll most likely be moving in anyways, but has anyone lived here and what has your experience been like? Location seems excellent and very convenient for me. Anything to look out for?

How to go about internal waitlist for studio to 1bd upgrade?

I just signed the initial docs for a rerental studio and am waiting to hear back from HPD, but the place is pretty tiny and I've read that some buildings allow you to be put on an internal waitlist to be upgraded to a larger lottery unit? How would I go about emailing about this, and should I wait until I sign my lease before asking? I know they have lottery 1bd's because I originally applied for both a studio and 1bd in the building before getting this unit.

Tiny Triangular Layout

How would you guys plan the layout for this? I’ve spent a while trying to figure it out with that annoying corner and the kitchen taking up an entire wall. I need to fit my queen sized bed and fairly large standing desk setup. All my other furniture like dresser and stuff I’m ok selling if they don’t fit.

Has anyone lost space going from a roommate to studio?

I won a rerental unit that is only a bit more expensive than my current place so I finally have the chance to live alone. But honestly the overall space is smaller than my current place even accounting for my roommate. I live in the master bedroom so I can fit my large desk, queen sized bed, dresser, shelves in here. The new place is < 200sqft and a lot of it is not usable because the kitchen takes up an entire wall and the unit is also triangular shaped. Has anyone "downsized" to live alone and made it work? Has it been worth it?

1 or 2 year lease for rerental?

I just heard back from a rerental that I got the unit. It will probably take about 2 weeks to hear back from hpd and I have about 30 days to move in. With that being said, I know leases starting on October 1 will be subject to rent freeze. If my lease starts before October 1, should I choose 1 or 2 years? And if I am able to get it to start in October then I should do 2 years right?

EY Parthenon First Round Interview Coffee Chat?

I had my recruiter call last week and scheduled my first round interview with a senior director which the recruiter called a virtual "coffee chat." This interview will be for 45 minutes. Does anyone know what it entails? Is it pretty much entirely behavioral and why consulting/why EYP?

Thanks!

Are rerentals first come after you’re invited for tours and additional document?

Was reached out to after I applied to schedule a tour for next week. They also asked for up to date bank statements and r5. Is there any difference between me submitting the docs today vs before the deadline they gave me? And is there any benefit to your on an earlier day? Or are the logs already predetermined.

Should I return HDB 630 for Momentum 5?

I got the 630s for $450 on sale and I've enjoyed the sound for the one day I've been using them. I am not an audiophile but I didn't feel like the neutral sound was too boring and I also enjoy listening to classical music so the clarity and soundstage are important to me. However I've been looking at reviews for the M5 and they look great too. The main feature being Dolby atmos support for when I watch movies and game, or is that just a gimmick? ANC and case size are not too important as I'll mostly be using them at home and some in office. If I was only using them for music I would choose 630 hands down but are the M5s much better for movies and gaming?

Thanks!

EYP Software Strategy Group Interview Process?

I recently applied as an associate and was told by my referrer to expect an interview. I'm switching from SWE so I've never done any sort of consulting interviews before. What can I expect in terms of the interview process (how many rounds etc.) and how does SSG interview differ from regular EYP? Can't find much on SSG interviews online.

Thank!

Hell's Kitchen 2bd vs rent stabilized LIC studio for ~$250 more?

I currently live in HK in the master of a 2bd (flex 1 bd) and pay $2050. My roommate is moving out and I told management I will resign with my friend and my new rent will be $2100. While it's not guaranteed, I got reached out to about a rerental in LIC court sq for $2150. So on paper it's a no brainer to take the rent stabilized studio for $50 more but... it's a bit more nuanced.

I live on 10th ave and hate it bc it's so loud and I live far from the train but I have all utilities paid for and I walk to work in <15 min as well as being a 10 min walk away from my girlfriend. If I move to LIC it will only be a 15 min train to office but utilities + subway fare will probably be $200+ so in total I'm looking at about $200-300 more to live alone. I guess court square is a nicer area than 10th ave and I would be 5 min walk from 5 different lines. Although I'll miss the proximity to West side highway and central park as well as walking to my gf's place whenever I want.

I haven't seen the studio yet but based on the floorplan it's very small < 250sqft so it's probably the same as my current room + a kitchen and bathroom. Also it's on a low floor that faces NW so sunlight won't be the bestm while I'm currently on a high floor rn and face directly east.

Anyone have thoughts on this? The rerental is obviously not guaranteed but I'd rather make a decision now so if they go forward with me I can instantly make my choice.

Questions about a Rerental reaching out for available unit

I applied to a rerental in April but my log was not reached. They just sent me an email today saying there is a vacancy and to send updated income documents (2 recent pay stubs) if I'm interested. So I was wondering if I only need to submit these two pay stubs and they have my previous application on file, or if I need to resubmit?

Thanks

EY Parthenon 2nd year/EH associate base salary?

I’m applying for EYP SSG as an experienced hire (would come in as 2nd year associate) and was wondering what the base and tc looks like. The job listing shows 100-110k. Would it be 100 or 110?

What happens when you qualify for multiple AMI groups?

Just applied for a housing connect unit in my neighborhood where I qualify for both 120% and 140% ami. Obviously I would prefer the cheaper unit. How does the log/ordering work for this situation?
