I recently found a bump in my upper thigh/groin. It is quite large (ca. 1 cm diameter), firm-ish and very painful to the touch. It is skin coloured at the bottom and red with white spot at the top. It looks like it’s filled with pus. I was on my period and wore pads the past week, so I assume it could be a result of that.
What could this be? What is the fastest way to make it go away? (I assume popping it would be a bad idea). It is quite painful to walk with..
I recently bought this 100% polyester velvet curtain online (Vinted). In the post it looked like a burgundy/purpley dark red, but when it arrived it turned out to be a much lighter purple.
First photo is the fabric in natural light, second is the color I’m looking to dye it. Third is the picture from the Vinted listing.
Is this possible to achieve? What dye should I use?
Edit: I’m not planning to use it as a curtain. So cutting the fabric in smaller pieces is not an issue.
I am planning to make a breastplate/corset-ish piece. I purchased some black worbla since it seemed to be the most fitting material, but watching some more tutorials I realised that the most common method is wrapping the worbla around foam.
Getting ahold of foam would take me at least another week and I am not very patient.. 😅
So, is it possible to make such a piece from worbla only? Will it be sturdy enough? Could I layer pieces of worbla, or would it end up too heavy?
I was gifted this lovely phalaenopsis orchid about two months ago. I have a long history of killing house plants by overwatering, so this time I decided to do some research on how to properly care for it.
I have placed it a spot with plenty of indirect sunlight, but still far away enough to avoid it getting burnt. I have watered it every 10 days or so by submerging it in water with orchid fertiliser.
But I now noticed that some of the new buds are drying out (picture 3). I am aware that it won’t bloom forever but are the buds supposed to dry before even blooming?
And how do the roots look when it needs watering? I know they get silvery, but how much? Are they supposed to be bright green when watered?
