Dream Summer Transfer Window 2026

Hello Chelsea fans, as you can tell by the title, this is my question for everyone on this subreddit. What is everyone’s dream summer transfer window? What should we be prioritizing in terms of strengthening the Team? And what are the expectations going into this transfer window?

  1. Signing a Striker should be our main priority , I know Aggie Beaver-Jones is the future and is set to sign a new contract but she can also operate on the Left Wing and is still a relatively young player. I think if we can get extra Striker as extra depth piece for that position, that would be smart to do especially if Mayra Ramirez struggles with injuries again next season.

  2. Signing an extra Center Back, I love the Katie McCabe signing as she brings experience and veteran, leadership qualities. She’s a winner and is very versatile as she can play in multiple positions but I think if we can add one more world class central defender into this squad, I think that’s our defense sorted out. But I do expect our backline to be more consistent and better once Björn and Girma return from their injuries as they are other important first team players.

  3. 2 midfield signings as I think it’s important that we can do with a bit more extra depth in this position. The 2 midfielders I would love for Chelsea to acquire would be Teresa Abelleira who is currently a free agent after being released by Real Madrid last week, she’s a World Cup winner, and has experience. Then I hope maybe we go back in for Jennifer Echegini from PSG. My hope is that maybe we go back in for her after our failed pursuit of her on the last day of the January Transfer Window this year? She’s a top player and for me was one of Nigeria’s standout players in the 2025 Women’s AFCON tournament last summer as they went on to win the whole thing.

  4. A Right Winger addition would be great as I feel like we need more depth in our offense and I wouldn’t mind a bit of competition for LJ. Personally I’m struggling to figure out what are some good quality Winger options out there in the market. This might be unrealistic but I would like for us to Klara Bühl from Bayern Munich, she signed a 2 year contract extension with them last year March, keeping her at the club until the end of next season. There was a report that she wants to stay with Bayern until next year which is understandable. Bühl is still regarded as one of the best Wingers in Europe.

Let me know y’all’s thoughts and expectations in the comments below. And up the Chels 💙.

Contracts

Does anyone have any updates or news on Aggie Beaver-Jones, Hannah Hampton, and Lucy Bronze’s contract situations? It’s 2 more weeks until June 30th and those are the three player’s I’ve been really worried about as they are still important and integral pieces to this team. Fingers crossed maybe at some point next week their contracts get situated as I remember the first week of June, Bronze said in her pre match press conference for International duty that her contract will be sorted out by next week and nothing has happened since.

Free Agent opportunities

Quick question Chelsea fans, would y’all take Caroline Weir on a Free this offseason? She was released from Real Madrid last month following the expiry of her contract there. And especially with no clubs circling in for her at this moment in time, I think this would be the perfect chance for us to pounce on it and come in with a huge offer for her. She became Real Madrid’s all time leading goal scorer in March of last year, and tbh I think because we have Erin Cuthbert who is an international teammate of hers, I have a feeling that maybe she could play a part in convincing and persuading her to join us. Now if not Caroline Weir, what other Attackers do you think we should target and sign and would be better suited for our team and style of play?

Johanna Rytting-Kaneryd

So I just read the report about Johanna Rytting-Kaneryd potentially leaving us this summer and I don’t want that to happen. She has one more year remaining on her contract and with a few of our core/experienced players leaving it’s only smart that we still maintain most of the veteran pieces in the squad to help guide the young talents. While I know she has not been productive in front of goal I think we are all forgetting that JRK’s main position is a Midfielder and I still think there is a good player in her and she can still have a massive impact on this team come 2026/2027. But if we we were to sell her this summer, what Midfielder or Winger would you want us to sign as a replacement? For me I would love for it to Salma Paralluelo whose contract with Barcelona expires at the end of this month. From what I understand as of now, Barca have not been making any progress or doing anything in their powers to extend her contract and I think this could be the perfect opportunity for us to make another statement signing. One of the things that she can for sure guarantee us would be double digit goals seasons.

Defensive Signings

So with the news of Ona Battle leaving Barcelona today and it’s looking likely that she joins Arsenal on a free transfer, what defenders out there should Chelsea go for and sign and would help improve our defense? I’m struggling to see who out there would be available as we need a Center back and a Left back. And in all honesty I think it’s best that we sort out that defense first before we go on to strengthening our midfield and attack.

Strikers

So Chelsea fans after the news that broke yesterday that Khadijah Shaw signed a new 4 year contract at Manchester City which really doesn’t surprise me , what are some good quality Strikers out there that you think we should go and get? ABJ looks likely to stay but Mayra Ramirez’s future is still uncertain and is a main transfer target for Real Madrid this Summer meaning that if Ramirez leaves we’ll be down to only one Striker. At this rate I was thinking why not go all out for Barbara Banda from Orlando Pride who has one more year remaining on her contract with them. But my only issue is would Orlando Pride be willing to sell her during the summer window? I don’t think so. I feel like the current Striker market is one of the main reasons why I really wanted us to extend Sam Kerr for one more season and then assess the Striker market come Summer 2027 but it is what it is. If anyone has great Striker options in mind, let me know in the comments.

REAL MADRID’S ELECTIONS IS JUST POINTLESS.

Thoughts on this Madridistas? I kinda disagree with this take because at the end of the day when you look at the circumstances and the toxic environment, and the bad culture that’s in this club, all of that comes from Florentino Perez and his ego. From the way I see things, I think majority of people in the Real Madrid fanbase are sick of Perez and how his ego and antics have played a huge part in the downfall of this club and are desperate for a change in President. That’s just the way I view it.

How do we replace Sam Kerr?

Chelsea fans so ever since the announcement of Sam Kerr’s departure from the club yesterday, I was in shock, disbelief and sadness. And I’ve been thinking that now we’re definitely going to need to prioritize signing a Striker come this summer, especially with Mayra Ramirez’s future still up in the air and being rumored with a move to Real Madrid and ABJ’s contract expiring next month which i hope gets sorted out and extended after this season ends but even if we extend her we’ll only have one Striker in the squad heading into next season. So if for some reason we fumble the Bunny Shaw deal which i hope doesn’t happen as we are still the front runners to sign her on a free should man city decide to release her and not extend her contract, what other Strikers out there would love to see Chelsea sign to be the replacement for Sam Kerr? For me the alternative option I would like to see us go for if we don’t get Shaw would Romée Leuchter from PSG as she has one year remaining on her contract with them.

Will it be a successful season for Chelsea if they win the FA Cup? 🏆

Absolutely not but it would paper over the cracks in what has been a terrible season in some way. And that’s simply just the facts 🤷‍♂️

Dream Summer Transfer Window

Still heartbroken and trying to process that crushing defeat from yesterday and I just wanted to hop on here and ask the Chelsea fans on here what would be y’all’s dream transfer window in terms of signings, sales and loans. Now for me my dream signings for this offseason would be Bunny Shaw from Man City, Mapi Léon from Barcelona, Klara Bühl from Bayern Munich, Jennifer Echegini from PSG who we tried to sign on deadline day back in January but PSG rejected our offer. Then Katie McCabe from Arsenal based off of rumors. Good thing about yesterday is that Phil Radley was in attendance so I hope he’s been analyzing and looking at where this Team needs strengthening as this summer transfer window is going to be the most important transfer window in our history. It’s tough for me to predict sales and loans so that’s why I’m asking you Chelsea fans on here. Fingers crossed we get things right this summer window and aim to compete for and win either the Women’s Super League or the Women’s Champions League next season. Up the Chels 💙.

Heartbreak 💔

If that performance showed anything, it shows that we need major investment in every position in this squad especially that Defense. I feel bad for this Team but they only have themselves to blame. But in hindsight this defeat could be a blessing in disguise. I can’t believe we just capitulated like that. There was a point in the game where the camera panned to Sarina Wiegman and in front of her sitting was our new director of football, Phil Radley. He’s got a massive task ahead of him this offseason. Let’s regroup, train hard for this next few days, rest and then get ready for our final game at Kingsmeadow against Man United which should be a winnable match. With all that being said, up the Chels 👊💙.
