OCS or ROTC

Currently an 11B E5 at my 6 year mark and just re-upped for another 3. I’m also entering my senior year as an undergrad and I’m starting to weigh the officer route as a potential career option. My school offers a graduate ROTC program for those who didnt do it during undergrad, however, after seeing the caliber of cadets at my school it never appeased me. On the other hand, my states OCS is more of a year long smoke fest instead of focusing on leadership. If I go the O route I’d like to stay infantry which I hear can either be very competitive or almost guaranteed depending on the year for both ROTC or OCS. From what I can gather ROTC is the preferred method as its slightly more leadership focused and has better pick odds for branching, but I’m curious if anyone can weigh in on the OCS route or sway me either way.

If you believe freemasonry is incompatible/anti-Christian, why?

This is not bait and I am not a freemason. I see a lot of people who believe freemasonry is anti-Christian or even downright satanic, yet all the masons i’ve met are kind old dudes and are practicing Christians. I see all the conspiracies but from what I can find most of the sources are cherry picked or out of context. Can anyone really explain how?

My unit did a last minute request for volunteers to go to BMMC in July of this year (roughly 2.5 months). I personally am a middle of the line 11B guardsman, and I’m not a particularly strong rucker or a PT stud, but considering it’s rare to grab a slot in my state I jumped on the opportunity. Most of what I see online is 3+ years old and typically revolves around winter cycles, so I’m wondering if anyone can shed light on recent summer cycles, or provide advice for me in the short time I have. A breakdown of the day to day and where most fail would also be great. From what I can tell it’s mostly knot failures and merit dismissals. Anything helps.

I’m 23, and I’ve always been prone to finding brotherhood, as I’ve played organized sports all my life, am an infantryman in the Army National Guard, and was in a social fraternity in college. As I exit college I am looking to find a new and longer lasting brotherhood that is rich in tradition and history, which has lead me here. I do however have certain qualms with it’s compatibility with the Christian faith. I am not Catholic but it is concerning to me that the Catholic church forbids it’s members to be masons, as they deem it incompatible. From what I hear there are certain oaths and aspects that some might find un-Christian like, can anyone touch on these claims? And while I am steadfast in my beliefs, I have no problems surrounding myself with men of other faiths. My question is how has Freemasonry intertwined with your faith as a Christian? Has it seperated you or pushed you closer to the faith? Do you have trouble with any of the Masonic symbols or texts? How easy is it to leave if I feel they are incompatible with my beliefs? And finally, do you have any regrets in your journey as a Mason?

Edit: clarified concerns and beliefs
