When does the HOH get access to the HOH room (on feeds)?

I know that the feeds come back late thursday night, but when does the HOH get their new HOH room back open (Obviously they have to swap out family pictures, etc.). I've been told the HOH is crowned and a few hours later the room gets open. Does the game talk start after that room is open?

Does anyone know a time or is it the next morning?

Who wants to see my HOH room? * throws pillows *

I got all 12 hotels and 32 houses against AI (Ik it doesn't count lol)

I had to build up around $12,500+, ask the AI to trade everything to me, then built houses and hotels like a maniac. I then was able to go crazy. In the meantime I decided to pick up both get out of jail cards as well.

Note: I first optimized, then I decided to play it safe (really just spread out my houses so the opponent kept giving me money more often, instead of in bulk, but more so more often)

While Method #1 is more optimal (easier to bankrupt your opponent), method #2 allows you to stay in the game longer by forcing your opponents to pay rent more often since they will have to pay higher rent on more spaces (but they will pay slightly lower rent on some). Note that I was simply scared of the street repairs card popping up, and while method #2 doesn't make me pay less (for some reason I thought method #2 made me pay less for street repairs, it doesn't lol), I still managed to somehow make this happen. I just wanted to test it out.

I assume it's not very impressive, but I wanted to share nonetheless.

Image #1: Method 1

Image #2: Method 2

Image #3: Ending

Image #4: End/Game Over

Note: I consider this game... Hating the Bank.

Hot take: You should only have to win 2 duels to win a time boost/category steal).

title

Correction: win 2 duels in a ROW. If you quit after the first it doesn't count and you're back to 0.

Big brother 18 is 10 years old

"WAIT A DAMN MINUTE" - Da'vonne rogers 2016

Image 1: Before Entering the house

Image 2: After the Finale (spoilers if you havent watched)

Although I didn't get into big brother until after Big Brother 21 (thanks to the amazing race 31) one of the reasons I love this season is the house theme/design and comp design. The travel theme in a house where you are cooped up 24/7 was the perfect yin to the yang. There are so many uniquely designed competitions. The competitions don't really have a theme, so they take inspiration from lots of holidays, celebrations and entertainment centers (i.e movie theaters, etc.) theaters, similar to bb24 (but better because bb24 had to slap festival on the end of everything which made it worse). The hoh room isnt as good though.

This was actually my first season of big brother but I didn't understand what was going on, so I just watched people on a rocket ship and then I quit watching until 2019. Then I knew the truth.

This season has some of the most viewed big brother videos on youtube and I don't know why, but something must have clicked for the audience, or maybe its just youtube blowing up, but I think the competitions are memorable for me. There are some great endurance comps like the little lift your leg in place one.

The cast is great (and some of the duds have downfall arcs) and gave more recent players a second chance which made them less threatening since they weren't winners/big threats. Jozea and his scenarios. Even after Da'vonne was gone, you have a downfall arc, then an interesting endgame. There were unlikeable people but something doesn't feel as toxic here.

Truth be told, I don't think this is one of the best seasons of big brother. There isn't a standout moment like bb6 or bb10/bb14 that is the season is well known for and you can show a friend or people say is super iconic, but it's more known for the downfall arcs. However, it feels like this season has less toxicity/negatives surrounding it than others. It seems while this season wasn't that good as some others, the downfall arcs for the men and the women being entertaining helped. I think the beginning of the season was slow because of the roadkill being a free BB15 MVP but once the roadkill is gone there's a lot of drama. i'm sure the season was hated on at the time compared to other seasons, maybe BB19 AND BB21 AND BB22 were just that bad.

The battle backs saved Victor allowing him to give a savage nomination speech but I think only having one double eviction helped the season, and by having it earlier in the season it wasn't as predictable and more chaotic. I also think the battle back tournament was done right, but they only could've done that once and they were lucky. Its old now.

A woman beat a man in the final 2 for the first time, and in the style of Victor I say, on finale night, that's how the votes fell.

Anyways, I hope no one has to sit in the Jury house longer than they played the game.

While a negative is the twists, I didn't hate America's care package. It gave viewers a way to influence the game without us having too much control. Roadkill wasn't as fun and just ruined the game. The season was very long but in this instance it may have worked in its favor.

The teams twist was meh. They took the BB11 idea of one returnee per team and actually implemented it correctly. It wasn't perfect by any means but I liked that they tried it. They could've done that in Big Brother 11, and chose not to because of the cast size.

This season also shows why we need jury house feeds. Thank you davonne.

That is all. Justice for Glenn. Sorry this post is all over the place my thoughts aren't coherent at all.

This was the season of experimentation, even more so than BB17's takeover twists. Sometimes experimenting can be good, and sometimes it can hurt the game, but its the little things that make or break a season for fans.

Filming Updates

Season 6 and 7 of US versions have been filmed.

Season 2 of the UK version has had applications close. Filming is set to take place this month (June 2026). It will feature 90 contestants (9x10), which is a first but not the first time a floor version has changed the number to a unique amount.

The 3rd season of the floor AU (2nd????) has already been filmed back in September, as two seasons were done back to back. The order they were aired in seems to have been reversed according to some australian contestants on the second aired season, although I'm not sure.

Season 5 Episode 11/12 - The Ice King Melts/The Fight to the Final - The Floor - Live Discussion Thread (2 HOUR SEASON FINALE!) - Wednesday, June 10th, 2026 - 8:00 PM-10:00 PM EST (EAST COAST TIME ZONE)

Last time... Sierra went to sitting on the floor to queen of the floor with 3 wins and got 20k. Paige has Rob Lowe's favorite category, Yacht Rock, and a time boost. What will she do as some of the toughest players/categories remain?

Episode Description: The Ice King Melts (11)/The Fight to the Final (12):

There's no safety net left on The Floor to protect players in the most thrilling finale yet. A breathtaking winning streak has every remaining player on edge and the Season 5 finale delivers the most anticipated showdowns of the entire season. 17 players leave absolutely everything on the floor for a shot to win the life-changing $250,000 prize.

Episode 11 will offer $20,000 after nine duels, leaving with us 8 players fighting it out for $250,000.

Everyone's ready to see Eric unfrozen and back in play. Some want to see him crumble, but who will conquer the floor? Also, will old strategies like the time boost pay off?

Remaining categories: Golf, Biopics, Cocktails, Barbershop, Robots, Plumbing, Disney Muppets, Celebrity Santas, Legendary Lines, Soap Operas, Yacht Rock, Cruise Destinations, Wine Tasting, Country Flags, World Religion, Eco-Friendly Living, National Parks Postcards.

Time Boosts: Paige/Eric/Mark, Tiebreaker category: Glassware

Enjoy and have fun! :)

For the love of The Floor let there be no judging inconsistencies tonight.

For anyone watching late/on-demand:

As with the first and second episodes, because of the 2-hour finale, the on-demand versions feature cut content/alternate edits but they're mostly the same.

The floor after s5e10 (hard categories left)

What category are you most excited for?

Underlined Blue - Original Category

White/no style - Single Square (Original Category)

Blue Bold - Territory/Inherited Category (unless also underlined)

Yellow - Biggest Piece (Sierra).

Numbers - pieces of territory you have if you have territory

+5 - Time Boost (people are saving them a lot, I hope it works out)

Ice block - freeze (3 singles left)

In Control - Paige

==== this is long sorry

You'll be happy to know episode 11 is titled "The Ice King Melts". Also reminder its a 2 hour finale next week.

Nothing is clear-cut this season. As we've seen, even the safest corners and edges this year have been invaded. This board seems to favor a "hide behind a whale" strategy because of the intimidation tactics that have been pervasive,

My winner pick is one of these two: James or Erin. Everyone else either hasn't been shown enough in the edit or I have too many concerns that they can't win. Eric is likely to make it to the true finale (final 9/8), but after that I don't know. I really want Erin to win because she's been saying the right things but she needs to redeem herself after a lot of people rightfully called her out on not going for 3 after winning 2 but if she wins the show she will have shown why she made that decision.

Soap Operas lady along with others is in a good spot but if she gets caught by the randomizer even once at the end her chances of winning go down by a mile, not to mention that its a best of 3 final, not a best of 1. I also think some of the people in the back (Kim and Sean) aren't really comfortable at the podium. They barely get any reaction shot but being that far back feels like you don't feel the pressure watching others play. I had faith in Victor but something tells me its not in the cards for him, but he's going to have a big moment I think. I don't have faith in any of the newbies but I hope they enjoy their duels.

Kelcie is also in a good spot, seeing as she has the two whales as neighbors, so she can pick the direction that's best for her, and if another 20k is offered she can go for it, especially if the left side turns on each other soon. James also has an out with paige if necessary, since she takes the corner now.

The biggest question for the left side is National Parks Postcards since I think plumbing will go for robots (and Santas is forced into it since he has to play before Eric is unfrozen). Once Postcards plays it's going to be wide open for the left side to attack each other unless Eric is unfrozen first but it also depends if 20k is on the line in the first half.

The men were dominating the season, well now it seems the script has flipped and the women are dominating.

As for who I want to win, I'll be happy with anybody who's won a time boost or category swap winning. I'll be happy with a whale who fends off last-minute challenges. I'll be happy with a good bluffer. Hopefully Sierra/Eric doesn't win more so just because they've already won some $$ but I won't be mad to see them win more duels. I just want to see someone win who paced themselves and used good strategy.

If you think Eco-Friendly living is a hard category im sorry its not a hard category.

"Carlos Ribiero"

Neesh said Carlos Ribiero, then said just Ribiero for Alfonso Ribiero. Shouldn't have that invalidated his answer since he got the first name wrong and got the last name right so that means he doesn't know who's he talking about when he says "Ribiero" after and they take it? If he says Ribiero they assume you mean alfonso but when he says "Carlos Ribiero" before that it shouldn't work anymore (because the first name was f'd up) but they accepted it anyways even though the first name was wrong like when the guy in Hall of Famers said Leah instead of Mia so they didn't take "Hamm".

Had he just said "Ribiero" they would've taken it. Just something I noticed.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but is it because in this case there isn't a person with the same name since the category is reality tv winners and no one else named "Ribiero" has won a show? Or is it just that Leah Hamm exists and not Carlos Ribiero?

I guess judging is dependent on the category's items.

Season 5 Episode 10 - "Wolves at the Door" - The Floor - Live Discussion Thread - Wednesday, June 3, 2026 - 9:00 PM-10:02 PM EST

Last time... more whales went down, but it was patrick who ended the night on top with $20,000 and a time boost. Meanwhile, a WNBA player now has golf. What will she do as Eric's freeze begins to near its end?

Tonight's survivors will reach the endgame, and have a chance to play for the $250,000.

Episode Description:

Eric's grip is slipping as the pack of wolves closes in, howling to victory. Tonight's extraordinary lineup features the youngest challenger ever seen, two battle-hardened reality stars with something to prove, and one player guarding Rob Lowe's personal favorite category of the entire season. Eric's territory has never looked so vulnerable, and the players are ready to pounce to a win.

-----

As the field goes from 25 to 17 and with 4 players holding time boosts along with category options running out, players must decide what their best choice is and learn from past mistakes at the podium as one mistake or bad decision could be the difference between winning and losing. Who will crash and burn under the pressure?

Tonight we are setting the stage for the finale as even the best of friends must come up to duel each other.

Enjoy and have fun!

I wonder what 2 squares/land next to each to each other on the floor have formed the best friendship this season. There's always one of those.

"I feel it getting a little more tense by the second" - Rob Lowe

Personal feelings aside, does Eric deserve to win?

Update: a lot of people seem to be taking the word "deserve" literally. Yes any player who wins the last duel deserves $250,000. I'm not denying that. Let me frame it this way since perhaps that was a bad framing. If Eric wins, what do you think of the winner/season/do you enjoy, like who won, etc?

I don't think that can be answered yet because he needs to win a few more battles for me to actually care. His battles have been very low-brow.

As a reminder (the duels eric has won): Kids Party (expert), Gaming, Kitchen Tools, Balls (zoomed in), World Soccer (the only hard one)

On a personal level, I don't think he deserves it. On a strategic/social level, I think he deserves his 20k's but not the 250 at all.

On a game level, I don't think he deserves the 250 because the battles have been easy for him and it's just naming simple items.

I think Eric deserves to be where he is since he's won the most duels. Still, something about him winning doesn't sit right with me. My biggest issue is his backseat driving and lack of respect for how other contestants choose to play which I think is poor sportsmanship. Since the first episode, he's had a lot of confessionals criticizing other players and their decisions (yes it could be editing/frankenbited of course but he still said those things). It's not a dealbreaker but it just makes him look arrogant. I digress.

Not using the time boost took guts, but it came across as more cocky than smart to me (but it's a good play). He's also been pretty lucky that the randomizer barely touched his corner until he was frozen.

It's not whether Eric wins, but how he wins. If nobody takes him down, it could feel disappointing because he's been presented as the villain. I respect his gameplay, but I don't really respect the way he carries himself as a competitor. In this instance, I hate the player but I don't hate the game. Regardless, the season will be remembered as the season of Eric's story. It's literally been the only plotline (well that and Deon but you get the point). I guess I'll end with this: If he wins i'm happy for him and he deserves it since his game was good and I respect it, but it's something I won't enjoy watching unless Eric eats a bit of humble pie and changes as a player, which I don't expect him to.

The only people he has had to name are Ronaldo and David Beckham lol. The people who win a lot of duels/money never have to name celebrities. It's not fair lol

Buttigieg leads crowded 2028 Democratic field in new poll

Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is leading in new polling on a hypothetical Democratic presidential primary as the party seeks a new path after 2024 losses.

An Emerson College Polling survey released Thursday found Buttigieg at the top of the pack with 18 percent support, followed by California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) at 16 percent.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) notched 11 percent support, while Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) and former Vice President Kamala Harris — the party’s 2024 nominee — earned 10 percent each.

Another 9 percent of survey respondents backed Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D), and 18 percent were undecided.

The new numbers mark a slight uptick in recent months for Buttigieg, Ocasio-Cortez and Beshear — while support for Newsom and Harris has ticked down slightly.

Buttigieg hinted at a possible 2028 presidential run in remarks at the National Action Network conference last month.

“When you ran for president, you met me and we went up to a well-publicized lunch at Sylvia’s Restaurant in Harlem. Just so my calendar is clear. Should I be reserving a table at Sylvia’s? Are you going to run again?” Rev. Al Sharpton asked Buttigieg at the conference.

“You save me a seat, I’ll be there,” Buttigieg said, without elaborating.

Newsom, the next-best performer in the poll, has long been seen as a 2028 front-runner. He’s term-limited as governor of the Golden State but has built a strong national profile in part through his public sparring with President Trump.

Harris has said she “might” run again, which would mark her third consecutive run for the Oval Office.

And when asked about 2028 speculation earlier this month, Ocasio-Cortez said, “They assume that my ambition is a title or a seat, and my ambition is way bigger than that. My ambition is to change this country.”

Conducted May 24-25, Emerson College Polling surveyed 1,000 likely voters and had a credibility interval, similar to a margin of error, of 3 points. For the subsample of 432 likely Democratic primary voters, the credibility interval was 4.7 points.

Sorry if I chose the wrong article if the Hill is controversial.

Season 5 Episode 9 - "A Winning Streak" - The Floor - Live Discussion Thread - Wednesday, May 27, 2026 - 9:00PM-10:00PM EST

Last time... aggression from whales made the largest piece of turf on the floor even bigger with one intimidating piece of turf dominating the floor, but Anthony took a risk, and that made Ren's the game's new whale. But can she stay on top; and who will own it all at the end of the night, as nine more players leave the floor.

Episode Description:

With time running out on The Floor, one threat rises and their competition panics as they refuse to back down. The semi-finals draw near but this relentless winner won't slow their roll. Allies turn as the remaining newbies play to win anything they can. Who will hold on to their spot?

------

Can the whale be tamed by anyone? Or is Ren winning just a sign that the 20k will end up in the pockets of someone who only wins the last duel of the night as we go from 34 to 25.

Enjoy and have fun!

What do you think of the territory freeze twist now?

Putting the eric and alliance of it aside, what do you think of the twist/like/dislike about the twist so far?

To me, I'm glad it makes people pace themselves. If you've won 3 or more duels, you aren't going to start playing a bunch more duels or get too cocky if you can go home because of it.

Also seeing how everyone is maybe clocking (I don't know if they actually are) "hey maybe we should try and unfreeze Eric" has the endgame looking bright lol this should be a fun reset (maybe).

I would like a category swap this season that isn't a switcheroo.
