Home baker prices

Hi, I’ve been making customed cakes like these for family but I’m thinking of starting to expand my horizons in creating and selling for other people. I recently had an acquaintance ask me how much to make for her daughter’s cake. I felt like a reasonable price, since I’m starting out, should be around $25-$30. Or how much should I charge?

Autistic child’s outburst

I had a birthday party for my daughter yesterday. My sister invited a her friend who has an autistic child because she lives out of town and wanted to catch up. I didn’t think much of it, I thought it would be nice to include the child in it so I said yes.
They arrive, and my daughter comes to me crying that the child hit her in the eye in the bounce house. I think the child was unintentionally hurting the other kids in it, because they wanted to keep their space.
When I had the kids play hot potato with the party theme plush for my daughter, the child wasn’t playing but she included herself in the circle and as soon as the plush came to her she didn’t want to pass it around, she wanted to hold on to it.
I understand that it’s more complex for children with autism to understand the concept of the game, let alone play well with others, and maybe the plush gave her a sense of calmness.
My daughter started to cry, saying she didn’t want her to keep it, but I kept reassuring her it was just for a few minutes. Whenever she wanted to ask for it back, she started screaming and having her outburst pushing away other kids, and my daughter starts getting overwhelmed. I talked my daughter through what was happening at the time, but she’s also a child trying to understand things, and it was her birthday party.
For a long time I was trying to find solutions through the outburst of someone else’s child and trying to also consider my child’s feelings, while her parents were sitting across just looking. It took them like half an hour to finally get up and do something, what I had to do was put the plush back to where I had it standing, and had the kids continue the play with a water bottle.
Mind you I’m a really anxious person and so is my child, so I tried to keep calm throughout the whole outburst, so that I wouldn’t upset her or any of the other children.

Was it okay for the parents of the child with autism let handle the whole situation by myself? Was that a way for them help? Because I felt like that was really inconsiderate, knowing she’s their child I felt like they could’ve really helped with the situation.

Weekday birthday party for child?

To my Hispanic community who know how to throw parties. My child’s birthday is coming up soon which lands on Father’s Day. My husband works a lot during the weekends only gets two weekdays off every week. We were planning on a party for my child on the Monday or Tuesday after Father’s Day, but I’m overthinking what if nobody shows up because it’s after Father’s Day and on a weekday. Maybe I should push for next week after that one on a Monday or Tuesday? Will it even matter because everyone will be on summer break? Am I thinking about it too much?

Bloated back

It might be weird since maybe no one has experienced this as well. Does anyone notice their back get bloated as well along with their belly?
