im a freshman and ik its only been 2 days but ive been making a lot of freinds and meeting new ppl but idk it seems kinda hard to make a group cuz lot of ppl have their own groups and im js stuck with friend groups from my old hs. im tryna make new friends groups and stuff, if u got any advice let me know!
getting into a top university for electrical engineering has always been my dream and esp GT since a few of my friends go there. im working my butt off to get there pulling all nighters, constantly working on embedded projects/PCBs, cold emailing professors for research positions, and prepping for a 4.0 semester at my uni this fall as an incoming freshman with a good amount of credits already.
pls don't think im weird for doing this lol! i want it extremely bad and im posting this on here so i can come back and be proud that my manifestation came true. preesh the community for starting this journey with me. (applying for summer 2027 btw!)
My friends and I are freshmen at UNC, Georgia Tech, and NC State, and we started an initiative to offer completely free college application guidance.
We help with essays, college lists, extracurriculars, scholarships, and the overall application process.
It’s open to everyone, but we especially want to reach students who don’t have access to private counselors or strong college guidance including underprivileged/low-income/first-gen students.
It's completely free and we just want to be a part of transforming lives.

hey guys i just graduated high school and I'll be attending UNC Chapel Hill as a computer science major with hopes of transferring to gtech for ece. I'm confused on whether it is advisable to apply for transfer with only fall sem grades from UNC. please give me any advice, tips, or chances!
stats:
- English Composition (ENGL 105) - 3 creds
- Differential Equations (MAT 383) - 3 creds
- Exploring Engineering (APPL 101) - 3 cred
- Introduction to Programming (COMP 110) - 3 creds
- Light Gen eds

i'm really into chip design so I'll be applying as an electrical engineering major for summer 2027. if you have any advice/tips please let me know! it would be so valuable.
p much what the title says
I'm planning to take math 381 (discrete) + math 383 (diff eq) + comp 110 + engl 105 in the same semester along with LFIT 113 (weight training). how difficult is this to get a 4.0 as a cs + math major and any professor recs?? i heard discrete is way too hard so im lowk scared of taking both math same sem.
Incoming freshman majoring in cs + math (I'm branching out into hardware too that's why im taking some appl courses). This comes to 13 CREDITS in total (I'm iffy on whether I want to add another easy history gen ed but it's also my first sem so I wanna take it chill and have fun around.)
If you took any of these classes with good professors pls drop recs!!
I'm tryna see how many people got waitlisted for electrical compared to other engineering majors, so if u did pls reply!
how low are the chances of getting of waitlist for engineering, and the acceptance rate off waitlist is it only a low proportion of engineering students?
