Hey everyone! This is the special 3.1 Anniversary patch second half Megathread. Just like before Score posting won’t be in this thread due to the amount of potential pulling there will be, but you can always hop over to u/Pencilboy98 ‘s threads about the actual events to post your scores there. This will cover the second half, So with all that being said let’s get into what is happening on the available agent front of the second half of 3.1. Some of the info will be redundant because it is just still available.

**BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE:** make sure you configure who you get when you lose a 50/50. One of the features of this patch lets you swap out up to three of the normal loss characters with either Zhu Yuan, Caesar, or Yanagi. It wasn’t really said how long this was supposed to last, so there is always a chance that it could just last for this patch, maybe it will last for all of 3.X, maybe the characters will rotate. I’ll probably update this once I see what the actual in game notice says. If nothing else I’d say it probably means there is a high likelihood that these characters will not rerun in the 3.X cycle outside of this, but who knows.

Moving on from that the next thing you are probably going to tinker with is the free S-rank selector. **Jane, Anby, Hugo, Trigger, and Lucia along with their W-engines are available for people to select for free (one each).** Jane is probably the safest pick of all of them, especially if you intend to pull for the new void hunter who wants anomaly characters. Lucia is good if you like rupture characters.

Once more before you pull maybe you want to refuel by spending money to get more pulls. 3.1 comes with a spending event. Most ways in which you spend real actual money will get you points towards prizes, the top prizes being a W-engine and another agent. The available ones for this event are **Astra, Vivian, and Seed alongside their respective W-engines.** Keep in mind, at least for the last spending event you had to spend $150 give or take just to get to the agent and W-engine. Make sure you are managing your finances well before electing to participate in this particular event.

Let’s go over the guarantee banner for the second half. Just like before with the original YSG banner there will be a banner where you can select between three different agents and whoever you choose will guarantee you get them for your first S-rank on the banner. You can switch agents at any time, but they all share that same first guarantee and once you get it with one the others will be 50/50s. The three agents are **Dialyn, Yuzuha, and Harumasa (his first rerun).** If you don’t pull enough to get an S-rank your guarantee will not carry over to the next banner of this kind, though the next banner of this type will probably just have a guarantee to start with again anyway. The number of pulls to get an S-rank character in general does seem to carry over though.

Let’s go ahead and talk about **Sigrid**\- She is an attack agent with the ice attribute. She is part of the Airspace Patrol Department. At this time we don’t know of any other potentially playable characters that may be part of this faction. Like most attack agents she wants to be with a support or stunner for her core passive, but not only that she wants her partners to be max level for her buff (which you should be doing anyway…). Much like most other agents she is available to use in the story and some of the events if you want to try her out.

As a reminder we have the carry over agent from the first half

**Remielle-** She is an Anomaly agent with the new Lumiflux element. As opposed to the other void hunters we have had where their elements were treated as something that was close or similar, lumiflux is its own separate attribute and you will have to grind out the appropriate skill chips for it. Her faction is the covenant of Dayat. It’s not really important because there are no other members of that faction right now, however her core passive makes her synergize with other agents in that faction so I imagine there will be others later on. Speaking of her core passive, the faction bonus is a trap as the actual core passive only gives a boost based on the number of anomaly characters and you will want three of them in the party (herself included of course).

Finally let’s go over what to look out for in 3.2.

First off we have Claret she is an electric agent who gets the new class of armorer. From what we can see this class looks like it uses defense as a major component for its damage. It seems like they are still tinkering with it though so apart from that I’ll refrain from getting into much else as it could be something specifically for Claret. We will have more concrete information when we put out the actual 3.2 pull post. Anyway, along with her we also get Roxy. Roxy will be our second wind agent but this time she will be a stunner. She seems like she will probably be very good for your account.

This post is a megathread for all team building posts involving who to select for the anniversary event in 3.1. Posting outside of this megathread may result in a ban.

Jane, Anby, Hugo, Trigger, and Lucia along with their W-engines are available for people to select for free.

The spending event of the patch will allow you to select between Vivian, Astra, and Seed if you spend enough.

In the second half of the patch there will be a guarantee banner where your first S-rank will always be guaranteed and the choices are between Yuzuha, Dialyn, and Harumasa.

Finally there is what is effectively a 50/50 loss selector where you can choose what 6 agents you could potentially get including the limited agents of Zhu yuan, Caesar, and Yanagi.

Please post your codes, links, or whatever else pertaining to the 3.1 invitation event here to prevent spam in the rest of the subreddit. Posting outside of this megathread will result in a 1 day ban on the first offense and a potential longer or permanent ban if you continue to do so after.

With the live stream just having happened and to prevent several more repetitive topics, this post will outline most of the gacha elements (regarding agents) that will occur in 3.1

First off, to kick off 3.1 we will get a login in bonus of a free S-rank agent and their appropriate W-engine (the wording made it seemed like it was a combo deal and you couldn’t mix and match). The eligible agents for this are Jane, Anby, Hugo, Trigger, and Lucia.

There will once again be a spending event with the big rewards of getting to pick between Vivian, Astra, and Seed for S-ranks. How much you have to spend was not stated, but I’m fairly sure for the last one it was $150 or $180 or something. I’ll correct this later if it’s wrong.

Our void hunter will be able to be pulled throughout the entirety of the patch but Sigrid will only come in the actual second half. The first half rerun agent will be Aria, and the second half will be the selector again, this time offering Dialyn, Yuzuha, and Harumasa. EDIT: it has been a bit confusing about what the guarantees are for this based on the actual explanation. The main issue comes from them talking about future selector banners and how the signal search data is carried over. It currently seems like it is just talking about the rolls until you get an S-rank, so the thought is that no matter what you will still always get the chosen S-rank on your first round through a new banner of this type, and if for whatever reason you keep pulling until there is 10 pulls left until there is an S-rank or whatever that information will be kept but in the future instances of this type of banner the guarantee for who that S rank is will reset. Keep in mind that the guarantee is not per character on the banner, but per instance of this type of banner. If you get Dialyn and swap to Yuzuha those rolls will be a 50/50. It also seems like if you were to lose the 50/50 when doing that and you were to be back on guarantee and not pull an S rank before the banner ends you will not get a double guarantee in the next instance though. With all that said, it was confusing so there is a chance this is wrong too.

Speaking of the banners, there will now be an S rank selector that you can set 6 agents to for when you lose your 50/50s. All of the normal ones are available in it, along with the limited agents of Zhu Yuan, Yanagi, and Caesar.

The question may come off a bit as confusing so I’ll try to clarify. While we know there is a “world story” that involves facing the seven colossi and whatever may come after, that feels almost like a secret objective considering the general lack of progression of that part of the game’s narrative from the player base along with the difficulty of actually facing the colossi. What is it that is driving players to continue through the areas of the game apart from just general exploration, or is there anything?

This megathread is for all your pull results, whether lucky or unlucky, as well as quick or account-specific advice requests that do not need their own thread and posting scores of how you did in the end game content (videos can be posted outside of the megathread). Examples of advice requests that belong here include but aren't limited to:

► Pull advice, including for W-Engines.
► Characterbuilding advice (disc sets, W-Engine options, substats, rate my build/stats).
► Teambuilding advice.
► Basic gameplay or progression questions.

The current or soon to be upcoming banners are for:

Norma- She is a Stun agent with the Fire attribute. Like with Velina she is part of the External Strategy Department which is actually important as her passive wants her to be in a party with an attack agent, a rupture agent, or an agent that shares the same faction meaning that if you have Velina she can also be used in anomaly teams.

Sunna- She is our rerun agent this time. She is a physical support agent. She is part of the Angels of Delusion and wants to pair with another member of the group or with an attack agent. The angels of delusion are practically always available as trial agents in hollow zero if you want to try them out.

As a reminder the next patch will be the anniversary patch and we will be getting our next void hunter agent Remielle, so you may want to save up.

Next patch preview:

Remielle- Our next void hunter agent. She is an anomaly agent with a new attribute (stay tuned for the livestream or you can go to the leaks subreddit to find out more). She is part of the Covenant of Dayat faction which probably won’t be important for team building purposes but may be important for story things.

Sigrid- She is an attack agent with the ice attribute. She is part of the Airspace Patrol Department. At this time we don’t know of any other potentially playable characters that may be part of this faction.

Hey everyone, this is part 2 of our subreddit rule refresh. In this one we will be going over the updated rules and why they may have changed. At least for right now these are scheduled to fully go into effect starting on July 1st as we still do want to get some feedback on some of the changes that have been made to do some minor tweaks. Just like before, feel free to leave some opinions and we may tweak them a bit more before they become official. Some of the rules are kinda long, especially the NSFW rule, so the explanation of the rule will be noted with “->”

1. Use the Megathreads

Please use the story Megathread within the first 7 days of a new patch release when talking about new content related to the story.

Requests for account-specific advice (this includes requests for pull advice, as well as team- and characterbuilding advice), basic questions about progression and peripherals, pictures of scores for end game content such as Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault all belong in the cycling Megathread. Videos of Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault are allowed to be posted outside of the Megathread.

-> As you can probably tell this rule is completely different now. We allowed so many different types of visual media posts that the rule was irrelevant. We also have incorporated some of the suggestions from the previous post. Pictures of clears for DA and SD should go into the megathread while videos of clears are allowed to be posted outside of the megathread.

2. Overall Content Quality
   Low quality content topics/comments may be removed at a moderator's discretion. This can include, but is not limited to: false/misleading information, "gooning"/"thirst" comments, meme/ragebait topics, advertising/self-promotion, basic yes/no questions, tier lists about things other than combat, posts about other posts or comments (even from different websites), or quitting the game.

-> For this rule we got rid of the Megathread stuff as it became its own rule and put more examples of low quality posts. Tier lists get pretty out of control very quickly when someone posts one it can quickly mutate to “ranking which characters can make the best grilled cheese sandwich.” Posts about other posts should just be comments on the relevant post.

3. Criticism Quality & Repetitive Topics
   Criticism about the game has a right to be voiced, as long as it is in-depth enough to be discussable, rooted in present issues with the game rather than speculation, and focused. Repetitive topics such as: "The game is losing its identity/appeal.” “I'm losing interest/quitting." “X area/chapter/character design sucks.” May be removed if there are other posts already talking about the issue. Additionally, voice both criticism and praise in a way that focuses on the topic itself, rather than a supposed opposition.

-> We combined this rule with the previous repetitive topic rule because 90% of the time they just overlapped anyway. We really don’t need topic 824 of “I don’t like Yixuan’s outfit” or “I didn’t like the 2.x series for all of the same reasons everyone else had said but now in a different order” or the more recent “Sunbringers outfit sucks.” We aren’t saying that people can’t have topics like that, but when they are within the same day and even the same hour it’s just a bit too much.

4. Al Generated Content
   No Al generated content allowed outside of the exceptions. Exceptions: Al translation, Al correction of grammar for non-native
   English speakers (Content must be written by the OP), Al enhancement to small/unclear images of leaks for the purpose of discussion (must be marked as Al enhanced).

-> This rule didn’t change at all. I guess if we were to say anything, the AI overview from your search engine of choice is not always correct. There is no need to make a post about how it isn’t correct.

5. Leaks & Spoilers
   Tag spoilers and leaks in comments. For posts, use completely nondescript titles like "Leak Discussion" or "Story Discussion,” and lead with a vague warning of what content is spoiled. Do not include leaked info or conclusions drawn from it in your title. In game content is no longer considered a spoiler 7 days after the official global release.

Story leaks are entirely disallowed. Character gameplay and weapons are allowed after the character has officially gotten their agent record released, but must still be properly tagged with the leak flair and spoiler tags until the patch that they become playable in releases. Leaks are considered content not officially released/announced by Hoyoverse.

-> Two things changed for this rule. First, the spoiler limit for new content has been shifted from 14 days to 7 days. The second is that we have loosened up on leaks that we allow. Story leaks are entirely disallowed, however character gameplay and weapons are allowed after the character has officially gotten their agent record but must still be properly tagged. If you have questions about what would be allowed message the mods first

6. Controversial Discussion
   Avoid discussion of controversial topics, unless necessary and relevant (ex. Lore). These topics can include -isms (ex. Racism, sexism, etc), sexuality, politics, etc. Use your judgement here, as we are trying to keep things civil.

-> This previously was mixed with the NSFW rule which split off into its own rule. Nothing has really changed about it.

7. Community Environment
   We promote civility and welcome everyone regardless of what aspects of ZZZ we like. Don't call anyone a tourist for the what they enjoy or want to see in ZZZ. Don't tell anyone to go play another game (ex. "Tourist, go play NIKKE/LADS."). Do not insult other users. Do not name call users, even things like dumbass, moron, idiot, If you feel another user has crossed a line use the report feature and move on.

-> We removed the downvote part of this and the “gooner” part. We added to not name call users as that is mostly what was happening that would break the rules. We also kept the “tourist” part as it was probably the most used form of name calling outside of the intelligence related ones.

8. NSFW rules
   topics that focus on NSFW subjects are not allowed. These include, but aren't limited to, the following:
   The sexualization of characters, Character ages & consent, The types of NSFW content that exists in the ZZZ community, heavily sexualized remarks about characters.

We ask that if the first video of a new character/costume is a touch risqué, that users to make use of the NSFW tag as tons of people will simply be excited to see the video but may not want others around them to see the risqué moments and of course may not be aware of those moments being in said video.

If you feel that another user is behaving extremely inappropriately in regard to certain characters, do not engage the user. Report the comments or posts and please message the mods about the user.

-> This is probably the biggest update to any of the rules. It’s one thing to say a character is hot or sexy or is a baddie or something like that, and another thing to type out what you would want to do to a character or what you would want them to do to you. The second part is definitely in reference to our new void hunter. As is said in that part tons of people are simply excited to see new characters, especially new void hunters. At least for the first official video give a bit of a content warning if you believe that there is ANYONE that may not want to have others see them looking at some parts of the video. After the first official video you won’t need to do the NSFW tag. The last part is in reference to the AoD stuff that occurred. I don’t think anything more needs to be said than that

9. No Buying, selling, or trading accounts. It breaks the ToS of the game and simply will not be allowed here, partially to prevent scams.

-> New rule. It’s pretty clear and with the anniversary coming up we expect to see more posts of this nature so we are just nipping it in the bud. If you want to do stuff like that there are other subreddits where you can.

10. No revenue posting.
    Revenue posting is not allowed on this subreddit

-> Another new rule. Based on the previous post it seemed that a majority of users didn’t want revenue posts for a variety of reasons ranging from incomplete data to biases when posting or “agenda” posting. While we do recognize that it could be useful, in general it just causes negativity and confusion. If you want to view the revenue statistics you can likely find them elsewhere.

And that’s it. If anyone has any further comments or tweaks or opinions feel free to leave them in the comments. As was said at the top we intend for these to go fully into effect on July 1st.

Hey everyone, with 3.0 here we felt like it was a good time to refresh some of the rules of the subreddit and take another look at some of the changes we are planning to implement regarding the subreddit. Some of these you may have noticed have already taken effect from slight wording changes to rules to some of our mega threads being a touch different recently. Like our previous set of changes we would also like some input from others regarding certain changes, however those will be at the end if you only want to look at those, however we do encourage you to read the whole thing.

🌀 MODIFIED RULES-

For the most part we intend to reword or rephrase most rules to some degree to be more clear and concise and in some cases provide examples. If you have ever read through the rules (which you should always do on a subreddit) you’ve probably noticed a bunch of redundancy where several rules have similar points in them and even as moderators it can sometimes be hard to choose the appropriate removal reason since there is some overlap in there. You will probably notice those being reworded throughout next week. We do intend to go over the rules in a separate post once we receive feedback on some of the things mentioned in this post.

For a few of the notable changes, our spoiler rule will change the spoiler time period from 14 days to just 7 days after the official release of a new patch. 14 felt unnecessarily long and people just want to share opinions outside of the megathread. Initially this was something we wanted feedback on, but after more consideration we decided to just change it anyway. One other change is that rule 6 will just become “controversial discussion” and rule 9 will be the NSFW rule. Rule 9 was effectively just a secondary NSFW rule anyway. At this point we would like to go over two of the rules, one being probably the most broken rule in the subreddit, the other being the NSFW rule which has been controversial by itself with the reveal of a certain new character.

🌀 COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT-

As was said above, this is probably the most broken rule in the subreddit. Do not name call other users with terms like idiot, moron, retard, pedophile, or anything else. At least for the last one if you feel a users comment or post steps over a line, use the report feature and do not engage with the user. Saying inappropriate things and name calling can get you banned. “They started it” is not a valid argument. If the conversation escalated to the point where you feel the need to insult someone, perhaps that is the point where you should step away from it. Believe it or not, you are never required to respond to another user.

🌀 NSFW-

First off, let’s go over the purpose of the NSFW flair as it seems to have been forgotten by some people. The NSFW flair, or Not Safe For Work flair, is intended to be used to block other people that may be physically around someone from seeing explicit content. This is not just for what you may perceive as explicit content and what you may be fine with other people seeing, this is for if you believe that anyone may not want other people around them to be seeing the content. The name itself would imply that you are probably not wanting to an employer or coworker to see the content. Please respect other members of the community by using the NSFW flair if you believe there is a chance someone may not want other people to happen to see the content they are looking at. Just because this is a ZZZ or gacha game subreddit does not mean that people should expect to see that stuff.

This brings us to the topic of our new void hunter agent. As you may have noticed several of the posts regarding her, even though it may have been official in game footage, we marked with the NSFW flair. While it is official game footage, it definitely falls into the realm where it should be reasonable to believe that there are people out there who may not want others to see that they are viewing that in public, especially when people simply didn’t know what to expect. We don’t intend to indefinitely do this, and if/when people are doing things like the endgame content gameplay once the character comes out we won’t require NSFW flairs unless you have a thumbnail of the video that clearly falls into that NSFW category as people should know what to expect when viewing gameplay that may feature that character.

As one other thing that has been brought up lately, character age is off limits. It pretty much always devolves into something inappropriate and creepy for that matter so we just aren’t allowing it at all.

To look at comments that are often received, it’s one thing to say that a character is hot or sexy or a “pink haired baddie” as is said in Bells perspective of the story at one point by Fairy, but that is kind of the limit of what we want on this subreddit. Describing or implying actions of what you may want to do to a character or a character to do to you is definitely crossing the line. It’s fine to make a topic about a character’s design, but we don’t need to be making a topic just about how a character is sexy. Anyway, sorry this section has been so long, let’s move on to the last few things

🌀 NEW RULE-

No account buying/selling/trading or giving away. Simple as that.

🌀 CHANGE FEEDBACK REQUESTED-

We have a couple of rules we would like feedback on before we make a change.

Revenue posting- wow it’s made its way back on the list again! Realistically this is probably just going to keep being on the list every time we talk about rule changes. Pretty much for the same reasons as before: general negativity toward the subject, bias, lack of data, misinformation. I think for this most recent banner someone posted the “day 1 results” four hours or so after it became available for all regions. Then someone posted the PlayStation revenue which was basically completely opposite of what the mobile revenue was showing. Do people want to fully get rid of it, only allow it once per banner, only allow it at the end of a banner cycle?

Score posting- if you’ve looked at our content quality rule you’ve probably noticed that it says that score posting should go into the megathread that we have, but we haven’t really been enforcing that, nor have people been reporting it. It doesn’t technically generate discussion to just post your score (and this is a discussion subreddit). Are people fine with how it has been going or do people want us to actually enforce that part of the rule and direct people to the megathread for posts like that.

Leaks- this is mainly just seeing what types of leaks people may want to see on the subreddit and what types of leaks people may not want to see at all. At the baseline we just aren’t going to allow story leaks period. If you want to talk about those leaks you can go to the appropriate subreddit. That aside we want to know how people feel about the following leaks: playable characters, costumes, kits of characters that have at least had a their agent records shown, kits of characters we have seen in the story but may not have seen agent records for yet, upcoming boss info (provided it isn’t a story spoiler like the previous version with “Phaethon of the scorched heaven”), upcoming SD or DA rotations, or any other type.

We are also happy to hear any other feedback about any other rules people may have.

This thread is intended for those who have already finished the story of Version 3.0 “A Sleepwalker’s Confession” or do not care about story spoilers for the content in this version. Please put all things relating to the story of Version 3.0 “A Sleepwalker’s Confession” in this Megathread for the next 14 days. Topics about the story outside of this Megathread will be removed and you may get a short ban for the remainder of the 14 days our spoiler rule is in effect for. If you post major spoilers for the story outside of this Megathread you may receive a longer or even permanent ban. If you talk about leaks please make sure to use spoiler tags, though you can look at the other megathread related to that for more information.

As a small subreddit update, we will be looking to update some of our rules for the 3.1 Anniversary update (or supposedly it will be in 3.1…) so be on the lookout for a post relating to that in the coming days where much like the previous update we will be asking for user feedback, probably once the 14 days for this thread are up. As a couple of highlights for that, at least for now we are only looking to add a single rule: No account buying/selling/trading. As for something we would like to have feedback on, we are considering adjusting our spoiler time limit from 14 days to 7 days. Additionally we will once again be asking about how people feel about revenue posting as it seems to still be rather negative. All that said, this thread is just about the story so for now just think about these other topics and save your feedback for when the rules update gets posted.
