Hiya, this is baguette, the child of my previous stick insect! She’s begun laying eggs at 5 months but I feel like my previous sticks didn’t lay until much later? Is this normal?

I’m also quite sad because I don’t know if I will keep the eggs, my parents want to cause we love them but I’m planning on getting a new stick insect species and not sure if I can juggle these guys, my hamster and life!! This post is a bit jumbled but yeah.. answerssss!! 😅❤️

Hii I’m looking at new enclosures and wanting something 100x50x50 (or just something that is big enough for my ham- I’ve seen this size is the recommended tho) but not sure I’m able to get bucastate due to it being £212! Any other suggestions? I’ve seen people get good sizes from other brands that aren’t bucastate so just wondering!! (Picture cause I love her heh)

Does anybody else see incredible enclosures when looking for upgrades and cry to themselves because you can’t fit them anywhere 😭 (and I mean the ones that are like a metre and a half long that can fit every single piece of enrichment a ham could possibly desire) One day.. one day I’ll get there 🤣 Picture for ham tax!! 😁

Hii I currently give my ham a couple quarter pieces of cucumber a week as a treat and I’m wondering what other veggies I can treat her with every now and then! Thank youuu

New paper bedding -recommended by somebody on here!- (instead of the wood shavings!) And different food (science specifics brand with some mealworms and seeds!- I’ll probably give her a couple pieces of cucumber per week too!) And some sprays are arriving today! I’ve been told the wheel is somewhat suitable (7inch) for the time being but I would very much like to upgrade it for her as that’s what’s been recommended. However I will need to save up and wait a few weeks before that, it’s going to be upgraded though :)) And as for the sand, it’s the same situation I’ll have to wait a few weeks :( Ty guys for your advice, it was all super helpful ❤️ Ellie is exploring as I type this!!

Hi guys I’ve posted here before and I got lots of nice tips from people on how to improve this enclosure since I’m no longer allowed to get another upgrade.. ever. This really upset me at first cause I love my ham and just want to give her the enrichment she needs. But as I said, I got lots of awesome advice on how to upgrade this current enclosure to make it as best as It can be. Here’s some updates, and I’m currently ordering sprays (they have been ordered just waiting to arrive rn) I’m scatter feeding often too, to encourage her to forage more! Also there’s more little bed areas under the two cardboard pieces at the back, incase anybody was wondering! I know I’ll still get backlash but I have given it my all so far, I do seriously understand it though because all of you here love and care so much for hammies and I admire yall so much especially for helping people out like me! (Oh and pls reccomend your sand of choice cause I’m conflicted on which brand is best for a sand bath!!) Also I’ve been holding her more often at nighttime now and she’s explored my room! (After I’ve vacuumed!!) Ty all for the advice truly! Keep it coming :)

Hii ok so I know it sounds bad but this is my first time only having one stick insect! They are a baby of one of my previous stick insects (RIP<3) and I’ve had two little groups of them before with about 4 a couple years ago and 4(which eventually came down to 3) who passed just a couple months ago. And I guess I got so used to not being able to tell them apart and giving up on naming them that I didn’t realise I could give this cutie a name and not forget! He/shes about 5 months old now too and I’ve just been calling them “stick” or “friend” cause it’s what I’d call my other ones! 😭 Any name suggestions? She’s almost at her last molt I can’t believe I didn’t clock this sooner lol!
