Is this the weirdest "mosquito" you've ever seen?
I found this insect sitting on my window today, and at first I thought it was a mosquito... but the more I looked at it, the stranger it seemed.
The bright green eyes, really long legs, and overall shape don't look like the mosquitoes I'm used to seeing. It almost looks like something from another planet.
Does anyone know what this actually is? Is it a mosquito, or is it another type of fly that's pretending to be one?
I am in Ontario.
I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Felicia Oat & Cauliflower Pasta from Costco is surprisingly delicious (and actually healthy!)
I picked up the Felicia Oat & Cauliflower Pasta at Costco in Toronto, expecting it to be another “healthy alternative” that I’d have to tolerate. Instead, it turned out to be one of the best pasta alternatives I’ve tried.
The texture is excellent—it cooks well, doesn’t fall apart, and has a satisfying bite that’s much closer to traditional pasta than I expected. The flavor is mild, so it works beautifully with almost any sauce.
What I appreciate most is the simple, wholesome ingredients. It’s made with oat and cauliflower, so it feels like you’re eating something that’s actually nourishing rather than overly processed. It leaves me feeling satisfied without that heavy feeling I sometimes get after regular pasta.
