Got Cooked By Amazon (USA) :(

So I cleared all my interviews, including bar raiser round and was kept in team matching phases. I thought I secured a position and gave up on searching for jobs for months but during layoffs amazon sent me email saying their is no head count and we have to let you go, I was devastated.

Recruiters were like apply for 2026, it will be a smooth process. I applied 3 times with the same account I got into team matching phases (they broke the pipeline 2 times, so had to apply again). I applied within 2 hours after the portal opened, not sure if the pipeline is broken, didn't get a reject as well. (it's been like this for 6 - 7 months i guess)

I am seeing people getting interviews and offer, but my account has a whole interview process with notes and I can't get an offer till now.

Currently I am in time sensitive situation, it will be helpful if your team or any team you guys know who needs SDE I, could you please refer to them. I have seen people in my situation get offers if they find a team.

Please DM me if you guys know any team or your team needs SDE 1.

Really Appreciate it, Thanks :)

I built an app that blends ambient sounds with your Apple Music for sleep and focus (Snoozify)

Hey everyone!

I'm an indie developer and I built an iOS app called Snoozify. I'm posting it here because it runs on Apple Music through MusicKit, so I figured this crowd might actually get some use out of it. Flagging up front that it's my own app.

The short version: Snoozify lets you play your Apple Music and blend ambient sounds into it. So you keep your own playlist or album going, then mix in rain, white noise, a fan, ocean, whatever helps you wind down, and balance the volume of each so the music sits exactly where you want it under the noise. It's the setup I always wanted for falling asleep or getting into focus without the music being too loud or the background being too flat.

How it ties into Apple Music: you connect your Apple Music account, pick a song, playlist, stations or album from your library, and it plays through the app while the ambient sounds run alongside it. Normal play, pause, and skip controls, nothing strange. With an Apple Music subscription you get full tracks, and it keeps going in the background with your screen off.

A few things it does:

  • Mix several ambient sounds at once, each with its own volume slider
  • Blend those sounds into your Apple Music
  • Sleep timer with a slow fade out so it doesn't cut off abruptly
  • Background and lock screen playback
  • A growing library of sounds (rain, white noise, ocean, fire, fans, and more), or import your own sounds!

It's free to download and try. There's a paid tier for the full sound library and a few extras, but the core mixing works without paying, and there are no ads.

I've been building and tuning this solo, so honest feedback is really what I'm after, especially on the Apple Music side and which sounds you'd want me to add. Happy to answer anything in the comments.

Give it a shot!

Found out Music blending with Ambient Sound improves Sleep Quality and Productivity

So I figured if you combine both your favorite music and ambient sounds running in the background calms your nervous system, at least it worked for me.

You could try using ambient sounds running in one or two Youtube tab and Spotify running at the same time.

Created an app that could help you guys too!! (My first app would love your thoughts)

I have been suffering from severe insomnia and adhd adds another layer combined with my brutal job search for months (still haven't found lol). My nervous system is full time on survival mode.

I started listening to ambient music for a while and it helped me, but my adhd doesn't like to the same sounds repeating and gets bored. One day when I was trying to sleep and I got an idea, I was like why not combine ambient sounds with the favorite music I want to listen too. So I created an app for myself and today I can share with you guys too!! :))

That was a game changer, it help me relax really well.

Would love to hear from you guys like any advice, how to improve and market. This is my first app ever!

p.s, Sorry for my bad English hehe :)
