Is metal recasting common for 5th/6th Ed Dwarfs & 3rd Ed Eldar?

Hi everyone! I'm starting an Oldhammer collection focusing on 5th/6th Ed Dwarfs and 3rd Ed 40k Eldar. My goal is to build these armies primarily using OOP metal miniatures for painting, collecting, and occasional gaming. Since both factions have iconic metal elite sculpts, they seem perfect for this.

While browsing second-hand markets, I've noticed huge price gaps for the exact same sculpts (e.g., €5 vs €12+). This got me worried about recasts. I know resin recasts are widespread, but is metal recasting actually common for these specific armies and editions?

Are metal copies something I should actively worry about on platforms like eBay, Vinted, or Wallapop, or are they relatively rare compared to resin ones? Any quick tips on how to spot them would be greatly appreciated!

Forerunner 165 charging pins ruined after only 4 months? Normal?

Hi everyone,

I bought a Forerunner 165 4 months ago (April) and I'm already having charging connection issues.

- My habits: I charge it 1-2 times a week, always take it off for showers, and barely swim with it.

- The issue: The cable (used 40 times max) requires careful wiggling to charge.

- The pins: The connectors look in terrible shape (looks like rust or heavy dirt).

How can it look like rust/dirt with almost no use? Is this normal or should I straight up contact Garmin for a warranty replacement?

Thanks!

PvE skills for PvP characters

I would love this, posting here to check your opinion.

I would love to have all the PvE skills with max ranks in the PvP characters to test builds in the GToB.

I guess this does not create any issue as is the same as when you go to GToB with a PvE character.

Is this possible? Would you like it?

Can you determine the production date of this timing belt by these pictures?

Hi everyone,
I recently bought this second-hand car from a relative. It has 140,000 km (~87,000 miles), and she doesn't know if the timing belt has ever been replaced.
The car is a 2002 Seat Cordoba (6K2) 1.9 TDI.
My goal is to keep this car for just a couple of years and then trade it in for a government EV incentive plan. I really want to avoid spending unnecessary money on it if possible.
I got quoted 600€ for the full kit replacement (timing belt + water pump), which is a huge chunk considering the car only cost me 1,400€ total.

Based strictly on the pictures and the text printed on it, do you think this belt is still the original one from factory or has it been replaced? Would you risk running it for 2 more years or bite the bullet and pay?

I attach a pic of a timing belt of the same brand, even with this clear pic I still dont know which is the production date.

Spirits strength and holy damage vs. Undead

If I have a damage modifier like spirits strength (+35 armor ignoring damage on each attack), and i am enchanted with judges insight (i do holy damage). ->
I hit an undead, and I understand that my attack would be: like 20 dmg from weapon and + 35 from SS.

How much damage will I do:
110 (everything gets doubled)
75 (20x2+35)

I guess the same applied to Strength and Honor, right?

Thanks!!
