Just discovered the new app has a feature to “add to calendar” when you buy, and that then displays the start time and also the end time, so no more staring at the ticket screen when they scan to try see what time the film ends, along with adding to apple wallet, I think the new app is actually working really well
As an avid Cineworld fan and a massive fan of the old Renfrew Street Location, I’ve just been sent some images of the new Omniplex location that they call and “upgrade” personally I won’t be frequenting this location a lot, as Silverburn is accessible for me apart from the parking, but thought I’d share here. Apologies if not allowed.
I would love to be able to have shots of my favourite Apple TV shows as screensavers, for example, the incredible shots of other planets in For All Mankind, I’d love to see these as screensavers rotating through, they have the shots from the show, already in 4k.
Forgive my memory but either, Ed, Deke or Gene said in S1 Ep 1 that “after they put a man on the moon they won’t stop there, one day people will go to mars, the moons of Saturn and asteroids and deep space” now I’m starting to think they plotted out the full story and told us in the first episode?
We know they had a 7 season plan that has been cut one short, but they really laid it out to us first episode and sat back
So correct me if I’m wrong, but Ed’s age is never directly referenced in the show at any point, so he could have been any age in the early seasons, but let’s base him off a real life example of Buzz Aldrin (makes sense as they were born in 1930) so season 1 he was 39-44, season 2 he would be 53, season 3 he’s 66, season 4 he is 73 and finally season 5 he reaches 82, I understand years of space exploration can do some damage to him, radiation etc, but surely they could have aged him slower visually and cognitively to get some more out of him? I’m not saying I disagree with his current state in season 5 and that it wasn’t a bad plot point, but buzz aldrin is still punching people for calling the moon landings fake, surely we could have had Ed more functional into season 6? He could have done more if they had let him age for gracefully.
EDIT:
Again I’m not complaining about his arch, I think it was so well written and deserved and I agree with it, just interested to see who else thinks they didn’t have to do it so quickly
