Hello, I'm not new to Warhammer, but I have friend who's interested in playing Genestealer cults, I was wondering if you could give him any tips general tips or ways to start collecting the army. It would would be great if you could thank you :)
I played quite a few games over the weekend and I found that I really like the eradication cohort. I was playing against a Gaurd player and he was heavy infantry, after pain-stakingly explaining to him every battle round what exactly anti-vehicle is and how that triggers devastating wounds. I’m glad that I enjoyed playing AdMech (considering I paid way too much for these models to not like them lol). Servitor Battleclades were soooo useful into a mission like Unexploded Ordnance where actions are mandatory and getting there as fast as possible is also mandatory.
I did use a Skatros… it did about as expected… killed a couple models and forced a couple battleshock tests which actually did win me one obj. Hastarii (exterminators or fusilier) are… useful if you can get them there for sure, probably will not be walking them around again haha. Kastellan robots… I will be buying a second set because very little feels better than putting an absurd amount of wounds into some tanks before they explode and then saving half the mortal wounds from the FNP with my friend looking at me in shock when I tell him about their repulsor shields… I will be buying another set

I’m new to Sisters army being primarily an Admech player and I saw that The novitiates could be built as trainees for say a Hospitaller, Dialogus etc. so here are my kitbashed (yes I’m using gatorade caps for now as I havent bought any right sized bases lol)
hospitaller (Battlesister body, Cherub, Novitiate arms and I forgot what it was called but the mechandendrite also from Novitiates)
Cannoness (battle sisters body, gun, insidiant backpack with flair being from the spare decoration for the paragon warsuits, novitiate right arm)
Palatine (Sister Superior body, head, sword, sheath and pistol? Backpack decor from novitiate superior spare)
Imagifier (battle sister Body staff backpack, novitiate pistol, I do plan on adding some more stuff to make it not just a standard bearer, i haven’t glued the second part so I can paint it first)
Dialogus (battle siste body, backpack, rhe decor is the standard for the simacrulum cut off at the staff and glued atop the backpack, novitiate arms and front piece)
I built the remaining 5 bodies into Sacrasents with maces and pistols maces coming from insidiants, pistols from Novitiates because I didn’t have the shields obviously haha. thank you for reading this if you did :) I’m just happy I turned 200 points into 460ish
With the coming of 11th edition and the many point changes that came to AdMech what is the thought on Hastarii, who were initially considered underwhelming with better options.
Some other options: Hastarii both dropping to 115 points for the 5 man squad, a single Las-Chicken now 90 points, Breachers going to 150 (10 point dif) for a 3 bot unit, Destroyers going to 100 (5 point dif) for a 3 bot unit.
Are Hastarii worth taking into 11th over the other options?

Parts are:
Torso,Backpack, - Skorpius Dunerider, mechandendrite from dunecrawler
right arm - Hastarii
left arm - Skitarii taser goad, omnispex, and toothed head adornment
legs - Dunecrawler
Two Skitarii rangers I have finished painting, they are proxies, but they’re also my first pair I painted, I spent like 3 hours on each of them.
So a few questions: Is it normal to spend that long on each model? How long does it take yall? And what tips could you give me. Thank you for your time :)
So, I made a separate faction with datasheets and such, I have lore but I just really wanted to nail down the full sheets before I presented the idea to my friend because we both like the idea of homebrew factions as long as they’re balanced.
