We are getting together to create the Independent Art Spaces Alliance of NYC. We'll share resources, audiences, ideas, and more. Together we can create in NYC a world of authentic art for real people.

The Independent Art Spaces Alliance is a growing network of home galleries, artist-run spaces, pop-ups, and unconventional venues across New York City.

Some of the city's most exciting art is found outside the commercial gallery system—in living rooms, storefronts, studios, community spaces, warehouses, and other unexpected places: even a freight elevator in Tribeca! Our mission is simple: make these spaces easier to find, strengthen the people behind them, and help more artists connect with audiences.

Our goal is simple: make these spaces easier to find, strengthen the people behind them, and help more artists connect with audiences.

People who hold exhibits can get in touch, share info about their shows that get posted on IASA'S website https://indartspaces.org/ and social media (@indartspacesnyc).

Together we will define how we can best have people enjoy our exhibits, how we can enjoy getting to know each other and share ideas and resources.

We can be contacted at contact@indartspaces.org

Killer Queen Opera is back in Flatbush and will blow our minds (and hearts) again, Thursday, May 21  •  7:30 PM - 10 PM

Told in three acts, this work blends memoir, performance, and recital. It follows a queer Black classical singer/composer (the wonderful Jay St. Flono) searching for the courage to fully be themself in a world that often asks people to hide.

We're in for a treat with Good Church Boys Do Not Become Artists, with very affordable tickets at $25.
