Spotted a deer while playing golf today, and we both stopped and stared right at each other. It felt like he/she was looking into my soul, and immediately everything started feeling like RDR2 (second picture with the RDR filter).

Hey everyone, newbie YouTuber here trying to learn the research side of YouTube properly.

What tools/websites/apps do you guys use to find trending topics, search demand, keywords, video ideas, and what people are actually watching right now? ( i have a guitar channel where i make covers but right now i choose songs i enjoy playing and not ones that would necessarily get me more views)

I’m also looking for tools that can analyze my channel and help figure out what’s not working — things like retention, thumbnails/titles, CTR, why videos stop getting pushed, etc. Preferably beginner-friendly (free) or not super expensive lol.

Need honest feedback for my channel

Hey everyone, I recently relaunched my guitar cover channel after a break and just posted my second cover

After 5 hours it has 150+ views on Instagram with a 70% skip rate, and 76 views on YouTube with 86.5% swiping away. The algorithm is pushing it out but nobody is staying to watch.

Not here to promote or ask anyone to subscribe — just genuinely looking for honest feedback on what I’m doing wrong and how to improve. My goal is to eventually get monetised and I want to understand what’s not working.

Looking for feedback on -

Why is my skip rate so high — is it the thumbnail, the first second of the video, or the format?
Is the horizontal video with black bars killing my reach on Shorts?
What would make you actually stop and watch a guitar cover Short?
Is my editing and presentation good enough or does it need work?

$0 duty, yet charged a $9.95 handling fee — for what exactly?

My package was stuck at Canadian customs for 11 days with zero updates and zero communication. I had to chase it myself — Canada Post, CBSA, the sender — and got nowhere.

Now it finally clears and Canada Post hits me with a $23 bill including a $9.95 “handling fee.” The package came from the US, and the breakdown give by CP confirms that Duty $0.00, Excise tax $0.00. Handling fee of $9.95 +GST AND PST = $23???

So they’re charging me a handling fee to handle… nothing. There was no duty to collect. The official explanation is just “in line with the government’s efforts to help recover costs from those who benefit from these services.”
Handling what exactly? Is this fee disputable? Has anyone pushed back successfully?

BEST $10 IVE SPENT

First time ever playing the game and the initial hour i spent on the game i found it slow and a bit boring… AND NOW I CANNOT STOP PLAYING IT!

It’s soo good!! Im only doing secondary missions and contracts and those are as a good as a main story missions??!! Insane to believe it came out 10-11 years ago? I cannot wait for the 4th game

After almost 2 months of waiting, my first ever Martin is finally here — the OMC-10E Modern Burst! Played Yamahas all my life and love them, but it was time to upgrade to an all wood Martin sound.

I know the basics like string changes and keeping it clean but clueless on humidity and storage. It came with a soft shell and I keep it on a stand with the window sometimes open — based in BC, Canada any tips on how to properly care for it? Thankyouu in advance!
