8:15PM so many fire engines and police through Junction. Anyone know what's up?

I am guessing this is probably impossible, but it never hurts to ask. So I was playing on what was apparently a quite old version of the game on my android phone. The game never asked me to update, and so I never had. But I was transitioning to a new phone, and I installed it fresh on the new phone, I figured I should update the old phone to make sure that my cloud saves were compatible.

I am so sad that I did that. I hate all the advertising and the new version of the game. I hate the constant pop ups about the Seasons that I'm not interested in. And also, they've definitely updated mechanics about the game that I do not like. For instance, rushes fail WAY more often now at lower percentages. I'm guessing that's so they can push the guaranteed rush advertisement. When I want to kill a dweller for some reason, I used to just throw them into the wasteland and they'd be dead pretty fast, but now they seem to live twice as long. And it seems a lot more difficult to get those lunchboxes and pet carriers through game mechanics than it did before.

So I still have the old phone too, and I actually still play the game on it at home connected to my wifi. I'm wondering if there is any way that one can roll back to a previous version before all this junk? I admit that I am old and I am not tech savvy so please don't blast me for asking what you probably think is a stupid question.

I had a unique experience where I was renting a basement apartment below an AIRBNB. I actually rented the AIRBNB above for myself, my sister, and a friend to help me with my move-in. During the process of moving in, I found out that the basement apartment was actually unpermitted, unregistered (required of rentals in my city), and had multiple safety code violations and was INFESTED with spiders. On the surface it looked super nice, if a bit quirky, but underneath it was dangerous and awful. I filed a complaint with the city and the owner was served several violations and I was forced to move due to the unit being unsafe for me to occupy.

Some of the issues that I believe ALSO make the AIRBNB unit unsafe to occupy include: Unpermitted wiring for kitchen and laundry in basement (flickering of lights & breaker flipped on use of microwave at one point). Lack of required fire-proofing between upstairs and downstairs unit. SEVERE spider infestation in bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, etc. leading to constant, multiple spider bites. And, of course, the city issued multiple violations regarding the unit being unpermitted and not up to proper codes for occupancy. However, because I was not LIVING IN the upstairs unit, I was not permitted to file any complaint or report regarding that unit with the city. No one can, except the owner or full-time occupant. That's kind of a loophole with an AIRBNB rental...

Because my sister and friend stayed in the rental above while the unit below was unsafe, I felt like it was a duty to report the violations for the house and the illegal rental below the AIRBNB to AIRBNB. However, even using the 'report' tools to report a host or a listing that are available as someone who rented the AIRBNB, I have gotten absolutely nowhere. I also tried using the neighborhood report too. Every single time I just get a form letter telling me that if I have a dispute with the host that I need to contact the host. The only variance was one form letter saying that I could submit a letter with my 'complaint' that they would pass along to the hose, but only if I included all my contact information, which I'm certainly not doing and they still said they wouldn't get involved. I am actually suing this landlord over their actions, backed by the city violations she received, and I do not want her in possession of my new address and phone number.

UPDATE: SOLVED!!!

The Overseer office must be placed TWICE to have it without the central elevator.

1. Invite in at least two dwellers to breed.
2. Leave at least two dwellers outside and untouched to breed later.
3. Build population to unlock Overseer Office (I built up to 100 to unlock ALL rooms).
4. Build up enough caps to start rebuilding your vault as desired.
5. Kill off all but 1 dweller. Delete rooms as you go. I had left just a living space next to the central elevator at this point.
6. Place Overseer Office next to living space.
7. Send remaining dweller on mandatory quest & then give up.
8. Kill last dweller.
9. Delete Overseer office, living space, and middle elevator.
10. Now it will allow placement of Overseer Office directly against the Vault Door.
11. Start rebuilding Vault and allow in dwellers that you left outside and start playing.

Well. I think I wasted a whole lot of time on an attempt at a vault layout. I wanted two things:

1. No center elevator

2. Overseer office next to vault door

I have tried every way possible to accomplish this, including literally growing to 100 dwellers, unlocking every room, killing them all, then deleting all rooms and central elevator to start building.

It says I have to have a vault dweller to build the overseer office, but I can't have a vault dweller without a living space, which means I must have a central elevator or put the living space next to the vault door.

I'm bummed. Is there any way out of his conundrum, or is this just an impossible layout?
