Im putting together a decent mid range combo and was picking up the Tantula XT rod but I'm having trouble deciding between the Regal or Legalis reel.

Im mostly planning to trout fish as the main part but I do vacation to the beach often so pier and inshore fishing isn't off the table, maybe I'd occasionally go bass fishing or just lake fishing in general.

The combo with the Regal is already pushing the limits of how much I want to spend but if the extra 20$ for the Legalis worth it then I probably wont mind getting it as I assume this combo will last me a long time with good mantinence.

Let me start with that Im a beginner but not a brand new beginner so I im a little more experienced with this stuff but this would be my first time going out and actually buying a worthwhile setup for myself.

I saw the recommended rods and stuff for the subreddit and while good isn't what im looking for as im looking to spend a bit more, but not too much, so i get more bang for my buck.

My budget is around 150 or even 180 for the combo so not a whole lot since I know how expensive hobbies can get but maybe enough to get me a good mid range combo.

My main purpose for it would be trout fishing and bass fishing with some other fishing in-between, maybe some small catfish, but I often take vacations to the beach and such so I'd like it to handle some in-shore and pier fishing. I don't plan on going out into the ocean and if I did I would probably just rent a rod for that since its a rare occurrence for me.

If anyone knows of some good combos, it would great to hear them as im going to be going by some fishing shops so I could pick it up very quickly.
