Is it ok to put an oled TV under a window ?

I currently have it on the side wall but for the view distance it's definitely a bit too close for normal viewing, only for gaming its ok, so the only other place is under the window, will it be ok heat wise and not damage the tv on the back of it? Currently I have window glare film on, I would rather not have anything else to have to use because then the room is very dark and a bit lifeless without some natural light

AC Shadoes has the worst map in the franchise?

Apart from perhaps the first game due to being dated now. I was genuinely surprised just how little I am enjoying this game based on how the map is. Positives are ..It looks really nice, the wind, weather effects are really good but it just does not feel at all like the other games and to me it's become the least favourite they have done.

It feels lifeless, no animals that attack you I know this is because of respecting them or something but it does ruin any potential threats apart from humans, have not come across any unique encounters or dynamic events just when riding around.

Towns are super quiet, compared to something like origins or odyssey they don't feel like bustling npcs just very static, there is a huge lack of parkour routes, half the hills you just fall down and there is so much forest which forces you to stay on the paths. Nothing off path either to find.

It feels super unrewarding and very repetitive in what you can actually find. It's like shrines and castles and a few small towns is the only thing you can come across.. not to mention how tedious doing the shrine praying is.. on the other games I felt I could do what I want, see areas much clearer from further away and not have to depend on a waypoint just so I don't end up trying to cross a hill by accident. They also felt like they had much more variety between areas or big landmarks to climb or see from far away, everything just feels the same in this one.

On all the other ac games I felt I wanted to fully explore everywhere but have no desire on this one now, it's such a disappointment to me and I hope they fix the issues the map has in the next big AC game.

It feels like this game should have still got more updates it seems to miss like some simple things to improve the experience.

There is just so many small things in the game that could have been improved to make the experience less frustrating or just more immersive, I'm not saying crimson desert is better in any regard but the way they have constantly updated the game and super fast, listened to feedback and improved or added new things is what I wish ubisoft did. They have done updates since launch but a lot of it was just features that were missing.

A few things I think could have been much better:

Why does clearing the map have to take literally walking over every single spot ? Surely a better way would be if you clear enough sync points in a region it gets unlocked, it's just like the least satisfying way to do it by running checking the map, especially with how so much of it is empty doesn't feel like you have completed a region

There doesn't feel like there is enough weapon or takedown finisher's, this is obvious when clearing castles, you just see the same ones way too many times in a row

Also no attack from above? If an enemies is pushed off a wall for example I thought you would be able to jump down and land an attack on them

Why couldn't they add a quicker option in game, to swap the character? Or perhaps have them work together to clear castles, have yasuke or naoe on standby if you wanted to swap

Finding the samurai daisho can like forever if you are playing as yasuke but then you are either forced to fight which gets repetitive fast or just run past till your finally spot them

Why do so many prompts require hold input, rather than a single tap, this is not an issue for most people but it surprised me because ubisoft games generally have tons of accessibility options in the menu for this sorta thing just doesn't seem like there is any need for it

They give single tap for looting enemies, but everything else seems to take hold button? Even getting off the horse why can't it just be instant? Or for eagle vision

It would have been cool to have an option in game to track your nearest quest to your location automatically abit like how yotei does it, the mini map at the top never seems to guide you well to locations because you have to be super close for them to come up

So you are basically forced to pull up the map constantly I also would have liked different colour markers for the main quest on the map, because they all just blur together and it's hard to keep track of if it's part of the main story or not

An option to jump off the horse? Or attack when on horse? At least from 33 hours I cant do this yet not sure if it is an unlockable. Would have helped when getting stuck in an area with bamboo to keep moving while riding

There is many more things but those ones I thought are just ones which would have been easy to implement, I really hope the next AC RPG game is much smaller, the map is just super empty and not at all how I thought it would be, still think it's a decent game just not on the level of the other games

Why did they make character switching so annoying and yasuke unable to do basic things to help explore and open up the map?

I genuinely just don't understand the logic for stuff in this game, you go to a mission marker while exploring and then you are told you need to switch character, why can't they just have a switch character prompt while in gameplay?

Why does character switching always need to hold X after also going in a menu and isn't instant button tap? Everything just feels slow for no reason, when I'm exploring what is the point in yasuke if I can't go up most sync points if I want to try save some fast travel points?

An example is I was just trying to reach a sync point, go inside there is 2 ladders which I'm thinking of so there is a way up for yasuke, I go up and there is just nothing in there no loot, or way up so you are forced to swap back to the other character via a menu, then swap back if you want to be yasuke, it just seems such annoying game design

Trying to get knowledge base items too sometimes he can't reach them so it's again just pointless playing as him

Certain things in this game just feels so unnecessary and bad game design, it's also made worse how the map has just so many parts are cut off and you are forced to stay on the paths to reach new areas, makes the exploration super unrewarding, a huge step back in AC games for me this one

Does anyone have faith in the next big AC game?

I am finally playing AC shadows and decided to wait because of all the updates that were coming out, but have to say I'm just finding it really hard to get into like the most I think in any of the games, the graphics are stunning but hate how the game seems to be dark so often, its like always night time or raining when i am just wanting to explore parts, cant change it yet still which is a shame.

I find the combat pretty lackluster, lock on just makes it hard to see other enemies because they just go off camera and the parry system isn't very satisfying.

Exploration not worth it, story just really boring, I played yotei and thought it did these parts much better at least based on the first 10 hours.

It's just making me think of games like odyssey which were so nice and vibrant and the world so nice to explore and music was really nice too.

And with this game coming out in 2025, I hate how they do the procedural face animations because it just looks so poor and hard to get invested in the characters they really should have improved this aspect.

If a company like guerilla games can create a very good procedural system with more realistic eyes and character expressions for all conversations then ubisoft has no excuse.

I think AC black flag resynced looks pretty good but it's sort of hard to go wrong when they can just copy most stuff that was good originally

But I can't say I'm that hyped for AC games anymore, unless they change a lot of these RPG ones in the future

When using an Xbox connected to your oled, do you use Dolby vision or not ?

I presumed it would be best left on but just stumbled across a post about how not many games actually support it, I just presumed having the tick showing everything enabled and supported means it's best, does it make much difference having it off? I'm on on the C5

What's up with this weird map UI in AC shadows?

I hate this like wavy animation thing when I'm just moving the map across, is there any way to disable this? It's like giving me motion sickness feeling, not ever had an issue with an AC map before

So this franchise is doomed or?

Article statement from polygon released today: James Bond game sequels will be "done by MGM and, theoretically, by Amazon Game Studios" says Jeff Gattis, GM of gaming at Amazon

"We did not [make First Light]. We do have a stake in it because we now own the IP. But that IP acquisition happened after the First Light IO deal was already done."

Why can't we pre install full games via the actual Xbox ? And not just by the Xbox app

I've always found this really annoying, whenever I go to use it if for example a game is more GB then I have available, if I then delete some game to make space it still says I don't have enough, the only way to fix this is I have to sign out the Xbox app completely and re login, its just very annoying process, is there a legit reason we can't install full games vis the dashboard itself?

I know you can pre install some games fully via the game pass tab but I can't see a way for games that are not on that via the Xbox?

I had a product I purchased from Amazon and have an email confirming to contact them once it's delivered and they will provide a discount, it's due to an issue with the product

I spoke to another agent then a manager and they said it was a mistake by the agent, despite me saying I have the chat log and an email that they should honour it, I then had the Amazon manager just end the chat despite me still typing, I'm not sure how to escalate further with amazon or if this is right? Considering I had the email

I've only beat him about 3 times but each time I had a ton of health left and that's 3/3 now, I find his attacks really easy to react too and time the dodges, I basically just spammed attack on the umbral flames and eventually it works fine, I struggled with even Cerberus more, I've died against every other boss at least once, just surprising I feel
