Anyone else been addicted to FE Engage recently?

I just cant seem to put it down lately. Maybe its because I dont have much else to play lol. Or maybe with FW coming out in Sept. I just want to have one last run through the game.

Great characters, music, gameplay, dialogue, and the graphics of the game.

Will do one more playthrough of Three Houses too when I am done with the game.

I am on like my fourth playthrough of it. Fun game.

Would making the Baneling Nest cost 0 gas create balance problems?

or will it open up more early game options for zerg?

It will be without increasing the mineral cost of the building or the cost of the banes.

I always wondered why that was the only building on the basic buildings tab that cost gas

The case for longer tech paths as a way to balance

Well more than just that.

But anyway , by making units like the Mothership and BCs take longer to tech to, not only will it weaken rushes with those units but you also dont need to make adjustments to those units.

Why make the Mothership worse stats wise so that shes weaker in all match ups while you can just balance it out by making it take longer to tech to it? That way zerg will have more time to scout and prepare for it

Also, by making late game take longer, there will be more ground based fights for a longer time.

You can delay the late game on 12 worker start by also making the tech paths be longer.

I always thought since WoL late game came way too fast.

SC2 Mothership tech path: Cybercore, Stargate, Fleet Beacon

BW Arbiter tech path: Cybercore, Stargate, Citadel of Adun, Templar Archives, Arbiter Terminal

so in sc2 it only requires three total buildings (starting from the cybercore at least) whereas in BW it requires five buildings.

I am all for adding in a building with the only purpose to add more to a tech path.

Riot should find a way to make vision score have a better reflection on your vision control and warding skills

I know its way low on the priority list though.

But anyway, anyone can get a high vision score by just plopping down wards in useless spots, or placing them randomly.

Right now vision score is not really a good indicator for how well you did with that aspect of the game because its impossible to know if that person just randomly put wards down just to beef up their score.

Blizzard for Starcraft 2 added an "EPM" which is supposed to be better representation of your actual APM than just looking at the "APM" value.

I really dont know how Riot could achieve something similar for vision score, it's probably not possible.

Probably still too early to know for certain but so far it looks like staying on gates is viable vs terran

was watching a tourney and Trap stayed on all gates vs a terran. Except for warping in some HTs but then he transformed them back to gates.

Trap, who came from BW during the hybrid league, must of been having fun making stuff out of gates.

But it would appear all gates is not viable in pvp or pvz

Do you think Zyra should get a rework?

Like, I really want to play her more often but shes so painfully boring to play that cant be bothered to play more than just once every few weeks or so.

A rework to make her more fun to play.

Wow, there are way more people streaming BW than sc2 on TL

And usually gets more views too.

Wait, but I thought the lower worker count made a game like starcraft bad and boring?

Would you guys like it if Battle Fortresses were in the game?

Its a big unit that would transport marines, marauders, and ghosts and the units that are inside of it can still attack, they will have the same attack range and damage.

Battle Fortresses will have good armor and HP but doesnt have an attack of their own.

They can even bring back the original voice actor if possible.

Ideas for Mothership buffs

Everything stays the same except the following:

-Cost decreased from 400/400 to 300/250

-Supply decreased from 8 to 6

-Build time decreased

-Movement speed increased

if the snipe changes go through, then the ultralisk speed nerf should be reverted

Snipe will deal full damage to ultras in shroud anyway.

Maybe the nerf made sense with the current version of snipe, but now it will take less snipes to take down an ultra and it cant be cancelled.

For those that dont know, they nerfed the speed bonus the upgrade gave them.

EDIT: I forgot about this part, ghosts are gonna do more basic attack damage to them as well.  From 10 damage to 20 damage

While we are at it, revert the hydra speed nerf too. The dash should not be why that got nerfed especially since at some point they buffed zealot movement speed yet they have charge,

if all the shroud changes gets through the ptr, in zvz would infestors or vipers be the preferred choice to move out with?

So I have been theory crafting zvz with the ptr changes.

The spore change is great so mutas wont run you over as easily when you move out. But thats on defense, what about when its time to attack? My thinking is use Infestors cause shroud will cause mutas to do little damage to your army while you wreck their ground army.

Or maybe Vipers will still be the preferred choice with PB?

This is only with mutas in mind if they have them and a lesser extent corrupters.

zvz should be in a much better state with the ptr changes. Gonna be some fun times with shroud on both sides.

Is Moonstone worth getting anymore?

and is Imperial Mandate any good for champs like soraka and seraphine? Will it be good on thresh too?

Did the buffs to Knight's Vow finally make it a viable item to get?

Seems slightly better now. But, I usually always skipped it cause other tank items are just way better like Force of Nature, whatever the Reborn item is called (also MR), and non MR tank items are also way better.

I also got more value from Locket than that. But even then, its still not tempting to get Locket, even with the buffs. Maybe a shield buff would be better.

Will Fortune's Weave be like other recent physical releases and be hard to find?

I think it took a month after release before I saw DQ 7 in stock at Gamestop.

Indiana Jones so far a week or so after release cant find it in stores (I am sure it will be there at some point)

I miss the old days when companies made sure there would be enough physical copies in stores

Thanks to Shroud, this was the most exciting pvz in years

Mana vs sort of

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paBSQ4AgB3k

Usually the match up is a snorefest but dang shroud really does change up everything!

Too bad toss cant get some fun tools too.

The zerg still lost though lmao. Now imagine zerg didnt have shroud?

u/Gamer857 — 1 month ago

Does ling/bling benefit from Microbial shroud at all?

I am talking mostly using it against terran bio.

Although I would assume FG is still preferred to use vs it, but who knows, maybe shroud would be? Gonna be lots of situations shroud can be used in the various match ups and unit comps

I think IS should experiment with a co-op FE game or a vs mode like the AW series

I mean it wouldnt be much of an experiment for the co-op FE story mode since all they have to do is allow you to set which player gets which characters and then that player cannot control that character, you wouldnt even have to play it co-op if you dont want to.

Me and my brother used to do that on Blazing Blade and Sacred Stones. We would write down on paper who controls who so we dont control each other's characters. We did it on the GBA adapter for the Gamecube so we could play it on the TV and we each had our own controller, because two controllers could control the game not just the controller in the player 1 slot

It would be much more of an experiment having a vs mode like the AW series. not the fake, horrible way on Engage, I dont know what they were thinking with that lol.

Do you think bringing over more things from BW while keeping everything that sc2 has will increase or decrease variety in game play?

I feel like that is the best approach and cheapest and fastest way to go about it since sc3 is probably years down the road.

Obviously not everything should be brought over, but it should be looked at as "will this add variety?" "will this be too OP or not worth the effort to bring over?"

A few things to bring over:

-Scourge

-Muta stacking

-Reavers (these seem fine when watching the sc:evo mod, could always tone down the damage it deals to workers if it will be too oppressive)

-Arbiters (sorry, but the mothership is just a boring Arbiter that you can only build one of and cant really make some fun and good plays with)

-Vultures

-Spider mines

-Goliath

After watching the above in the sc:evo mod they should be fine for sc2 and some pretty cool interactions and micro and control tricks as well when playing those and against those.

Obviously coupled with more changes to sc2 units and abilities like increasing neural parasite range by 1 and removing Lib ground mode and tempests and ravagers lol

Also bring back 4 player random spawn maps for 1v1 ladder

The goal is to get sc2 in such a well designed state where no more big changes will have to be needed.
