Question on Classic Crew Expansion for Retaliation

Having missed the Retaliation campaign, it's finally hitting retail next week. OG is one of my favorites of all time, and I've been enjoying Retaliation even more in TTS. I'm planning on getting the core box, the support squad expansion, the stretch goals box, and mmmaybe the Xyrians (man the campaign was a good deal). Question though...the Gamefound description on the classic crew expansion makes it sound like it's just the figures and it's not needed if one has OG and/or Lockdown.

How does using the characters from OG work in Retaliation...just use their same decks from OG?

Voidfall component question

So, I’m quite tempted at diving into Voidfall but I read the minis from the galactic edition and the organizers are bad. Looking for some guidance on what of the components from the Galactic Box campaign add-ons would be worthwhile and why from those who might have experience with either (or both)?

Triple layer sector and player boards?

Metal tokens?

Double layer ships?

Getting the retail edition for less but then adding these deluxe components separately basically seems to come out to roughly the same as just getting the Galactic Box (minus the advantage of playing it for a while before adding the extra bits).

First play

I learned of Armada way too late. I never even put it on my list to own as the second hand market prices seem too steep for me. Recently, I found a LGS that had it in their library and played it for the first time. I’m simultaneously hooked and absolutely blown away at how much fun this game is. Games with such relatively simple rules that allow the depth of play to shine through feel more and more rare. I’m really kicking myself that I didn’t get in on this years ago. Is there hope that the FF Vault might reproduce in a crowdfunding or am I just stuck with the second hand market?

I’ve been wanting to get my first big box RPG/Dungeon Crawler. Elder Scrolls Betrayal, Oathsworn, and Arydia have been high on my list (Lands of Evershade would be as well if I thought there was near-term hope of a retail release). I see a lot of reviews mention table presence (hence one of the reasons why Aeon Trespass: Odyssey fell off my list). What I don’t see talked about is how easy/difficult these games are to pack up and resume later. My partner and I are moving into a spot for the next year that won’t have as much table space so playing it will mean frequently packing it up and resuming later. What would you recommend if the ability to easily resume was a key feature?
