First play

I learned of Armada way too late. I never even put it on my list to own as the second hand market prices seem too steep for me. Recently, I found a LGS that had it in their library and played it for the first time. I’m simultaneously hooked and absolutely blown away at how much fun this game is. Games with such relatively simple rules that allow the depth of play to shine through feel more and more rare. I’m really kicking myself that I didn’t get in on this years ago. Is there hope that the FF Vault might reproduce in a crowdfunding or am I just stuck with the second hand market?

I’ve been wanting to get my first big box RPG/Dungeon Crawler. Elder Scrolls Betrayal, Oathsworn, and Arydia have been high on my list (Lands of Evershade would be as well if I thought there was near-term hope of a retail release). I see a lot of reviews mention table presence (hence one of the reasons why Aeon Trespass: Odyssey fell off my list). What I don’t see talked about is how easy/difficult these games are to pack up and resume later. My partner and I are moving into a spot for the next year that won’t have as much table space so playing it will mean frequently packing it up and resuming later. What would you recommend if the ability to easily resume was a key feature?
