I ended up returning my Watch 8. It was pretty to look at, but apart from the few Android-specific app features, it didn't offer much more than my existing Garmin. While I *could* reply to texts or emails on the Watch 8 (this was a LTE model), I never actually did because my phone was almost always close by. Between the limited additional functionality and the dubious daily battery performance, I couldn't make it make sense.

I'm not knocking the Watch 8. It really was pretty to look at and fun to scroll through and adjust the various faces, but that wasn't enough to tip the scales. The Garmin 945 simply does things which were valuable to me in a manner that Watch 8 couldn't replicate.

It was a fun experiment and I completely understand everyone who loves the Galaxy Watch. But I don't think many Garmin owners will find it a suitable replacement for the Forerunner or Fenix.

Thanks for the help and suggestions along the way. I hope you all continue to enjoy your Galaxy watches and keep making those stunning watch faces!

Larry sleeps in my wife's armpit, every night, without fail. As a result, most of her sleepwear has been stained on the left side from Larry's need to turn everything brown. So I got her a few of these in different dark colors so her more expensive sleep things aren't stained beyond repair. I'm not affiliated with this item in any way apart from being a consumer. This is my Sphynx, Larry. Larry loves to rub on things like corners of books, furniture, delivery boxes, and who knows what else. When I get home, I'll find these fresh rub wounds on his neck, throat, chest, and face, variously. I've never seen him do it, so I can't say exactly how he does it, and I'm hoping someone has had a similar experience. He will rub himself raw (just his front, from chest to cheeks) and then it scabs over a few days. It doesn't leave a scar, and he doesn't seem bothered by the injuries that he causes himself. We started calling him "laceration Larry". Does anyone else have a sphynx that does this? I will try to get better pictures the next time he does it, but this is just an example, on the right side of his neck.

Getting old sucks. I don't recommend it if you can avoid it. I wasn't able to, so now I have to monitor various versions of my health, heart, and sleep. I'm starting a new medication and it can affect all of those things, so I need to know, as per the doctor.

I was initially going to jump on the Ultra because the reviews are incredibly positive, but one review said specifically that if you're wearing the Galaxy watch for sleeping, the Watch 8 is better than the Ultra because it's a bit more svelte and lighter, and therefore less intrusive.

Do you wear your Ultra to bed?

Was that among your criteria for selecting a watch?

Did you choose the Watch 8 over the Ultra due to its slimmer, lighter design for sleeping?

Finally, based on the user manuals, it seems that the Watch 8 and the Ultra have exactly the same set of features for health monitoring. Can anyone confirm that is the case, because on some sites (bestbuy, for example) the comparisons are dissimilar.

I can't go into detail here for various reasons, but suffice it to say that I'm looking for an attorney for a paid consultation with respect to permits in New Jersey.

I have tried a few attorneys offices in NJ already, but they aren't interested in consulting ahead of a problem -- they want a person to create a problem and then be involved in helping them fix it. I can't even get a call back except from office staff.

That also applies to the legal branch of NRA-ILA, and the ACLU.

My case is specific to New Jersey and ATF. If there are any attorneys that you can *personally* recommend from your prior experience, please let me know!

I watch a lot of videos on this sub. They're informative and often quite terrifying. One of the main advertised "features" of all the cameras, particularly those boasting Starvis sensors, is the legibility of plate information in day or night.

When I watch the videos on this channel, almost none of the number plates / license plates are legible. Is that an artifact from compression from uploading to Reddit, or is this truly what the raw footage looks like?

Based on the videos that I've watched, I can't recommend any one camera over another. They all seem awful and pointless with respect to their intended benefit of being able to capture plate information.

My wife and I enjoy playing AoM and we wanted to try out multiplayer and host a game locally. The problem was that we wiped the floor with the 2 AI we were playing against, even though we had the lobby set to Legendary, and we are new to the game, generally. I assumed that meant the AI were getting the benefit and we were getting nothing. The post-game didn't look anything like I thought it would.

Could I ask you to take a look at our settings and give me suggestions on how to make the AI actually competitive?
