Does the forced dialogue chill out?

I’m playing the trial, just finished the grand opening and left to walk around. Before spending money on this game I gotta know if the forced dialogue scenes chill out. The tutorial is way too full of slow and unnecessary filler and I just want to play around already. Is there much video game here, or is it mostly dialogue?

For the record, big lover of Animal Crossing and Stardew, so it’s not like I need heavy action I just want to feel like I’m not being led around the whole time.

ITAP for when many tiny improvements or actions in a skill or art form contribute to a perfected result? (Also ITAW for…)

Example: car enthusiasts who remove unneeded weight and make tiny aerodynamic improvements to make a car as efficient and fast as possible.

Example 2: the Gong Fu tea ceremony where steps such as heating the tea pot first, or leaving the lid on the pot after pouring make tiny additive improvements that result in a perfect cup of tea.

does not have to be English.

Words, adages, phrases all welcome.

The closest English word I can think of is “attrition” but it feels too cold.

Edit: U/hummingbirdgecko8415 has the best suggestion so far.

Edit: think the exact opposite of “death by a thousand cuts”

Advice on improving fundamentals for someone who’s been playing for 20+ years.

I would love some recommendations for some daily exercises to help improve incorporating riffs into songs, fingerpicking, playing by ear. I want to bust out existing songs a little better, and also just serenade when I’m camping with the fam.

The thing is, I’ve been playing for 20+ years so I suppose I’m somewhere on the “intermediate” scale, but I feel like I’m really missing some fundamentals, and it’s hard to figure out where to go from here. Lessons are often TOO easy, but advanced stuff is often assuming some skills that I’m missing. Watching tutorials on YouTube just feels like I’m reading a map, as opposed to learning to find my direction on my own.

I play acoustic, mostly listen to early 90s/00s indie stuff, old folk and Beatlesy pop stuff, cool 70s stuff. Not so much classical. little bit of jazz.

Scavengers or parasites?

We had this praying mantis in a tank, and he went from alive yesterday to very dead and already molding today. Are these little inchworm dudes on him scavengers or parasites?

Recording tools for kids that don’t require a a computer / iPad? Easy to use 4-tracks maybe?

He y’all! My kids are getting into making their own music. It’s cute. They’re under 12 years old and I’ve taught them to use GarageBand a little bit, but I don’t like them to have an iPad in their hands all day long. I’d like to get them something more analog that they can make little songs on. I don’t have much experience with 4-tracks myself and I’m wondering if y’all have any suggestions for something that is super user friendly?

If I travel to Nova Scotia is there any chance of getting myself invited to a kitchen party?

I know beggars can’t be choosers, but I don’t want go to a pub. I want so badly to be in kitchen, slappin on a Formica table and singing songs all night. Is that something you only get to do if your aunt and uncle set it up?

Should I expect Blackstones to go on sale closer to Father’s Day or is that uncommon?

I’m fixin to buy my first griddle, looking at the Iron Forged 2 with a hood. Should I expect a sale or would we be seeing any potential sales by now?

Looking for drills for 12U rec pitchers who are throwing high.

Hey Ya’ll, I’m looking for some drills / videos for pitchers who are consistently throwing the ball high. I know it’s helpful to have video of their pitching but this for other kids on my son’s team, so I’m just looking for general advice. A few of them can throw decently on the field, but when they pitch they are sailing it 5-10 feet in the air.

I can’t seem to find any videos specifically addressing this and any help would be appreciated
