Moisturiser choice

How many moisturisers did you try to find the best one that fits your skin type?

Did you end up finding just one moisturiser or needed to add a toner / serum / essence too?

I don't know how to feel with all the skincare I've acquired....

Yes, I feel an idiot lol. I've been experimenting on my own sensitive and reactive skin for a better barrier and glowy skin.. Never had acne or pimples ( very tiny one every now and then), but I do suffer from itchiness, dehydration, and flaky patches sometimes.
I've been on the hunt for the <<perfect skincare>>. Yes, please do call me crazy (?) I totally accept it lol

Why is it so hard to find something that my skin loves!!!

Didn't use any skincare for 31 years. Started taking care of it and now it's like... Damaged?

Could someone please explain this to me, because it's confusing.
31F - basically, I was never into skin care. In 30 years, I think I had used a moisturiser when I had itchy facial skin - and that's it. I never used anything. For make up, concealer, blush, highlighter, and would just remove with cheap wet wipes and wash my face with water. I've never even had a cleanser. It was fine. I never have pimples, but did /do have dry patches sometimes.

Months ago, I started getting interest in makeup, as well as skin care. At 31, I decided to take care of my skin.
Now, my skin is like telling me it doesn't like anything. I mainly tried barrier support products; tried layering a toner, serum, moisturiser.

On weekends, I get lazy and don't even wash my face or put anything and it seems to improve a lot. Now idk what to do as I bought so many skincare products and make up ☹️
