Context: Kelfer is an esoteric/ Occult fantasy world set in a time similar to our late 1800’s and very early 1900’s. Although in the time of the setting; trains, steamboats, airships and even very early automobiles have replaced animals as the main mean of transportation, they are no less important to the world

Meet the Skorfax, Kelfer main rideable creature. they were domesticated somewhere in the Forgotten age (Between 30.000 to 4.000 years in this world past). They were native to the central plains of Kelios but since had spread to the whole world.

Skorfax are very fast and agile creatures, there about 2 meters tall and 4,3 meters long. They weight around 600 kg to 1000 kg, and can reach maximum speeds of 80 km/h with some breeds being able to reach 100 km/h in short burst. They also can move by hopping or jumping some considerable distances. They can walk very long distances without getting tired, although the opposite happens if the run too much they can get tired very easily.

They have 4 smaller arms that use for foraging vegetation, scratching themselves, as well to carry the nymphs of the herd in case of danger. They posses two large spiracles in the neck for breathing, twin tails that they use for balance and two large and strong legs.

They have been used as the main mount for most of Kelfer’s sapient species. They were also the main cavalry through history (or Skorfalry?) used for their natural speed to do rapid charges at enemy positions. But their use has come to a slow decline with modern military tactics like trench warfare, bribed wire, War homunculi and motorized vehicles.
