Hey y'all, my name is Anthony.

I've been using this same model Sony DCR-PC100 for over a decade now, going around the world recording folk music for our little YouTube channel. I genuinely enjoy using the old camcorders more than my newer gear - the form factor is just superior in all aspects. Also people seem to let loose much more naturally in the presence of the camcorder. I've gone through about 3 of this model, which inevitably get destroyed after years of hard use.

It can be challenging to use in low-light situations. I've sometimes resorted to using the nighshot setting on the camera, but not often, as the quality is about as shit as you can imagine. One cool thing about the DCR-PC100 is it shot widescreen. The closeup shots are my favorite - the Zeiss lens on these Sony's have such a gorgeous depth of field, even with the grainy texture it feels beautiful.

I almost always utilize a wide lens adapter for it, for better or worse. I imagine it messes with the quality a bit, but I utilize the extra space in the frame. I've sometimes put it on a gimbal stabilizer, and that footage looks extra good. I believe that's what I did on this video, actually.

I use the firewire transfer with a card I installed on my PC. I remember my last laptop was actually old enough to still have a firewire port, imagine that. I'm capturing with the "Vegas" software's built in capturing program.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself as I just joined, and share some footage y'all might appreciate. I rarely see the DV tape used in a professional way, which is a shame as I really think there's no love lost on people viewing on their phones/monitors anyway. I did see it blown up on a projector once for a film festival, and boy did it look bad lol.

^ quicker cast on the mass dispel. at mouseover on press, or at my feet if holding shift. can change "shift" to whatever key, just gives you a way to shit it out super fast. this is essential for taking on fels and others with shields. backtrack/infinity clasp, run up to them, drop this.

I'm in the 40s on a Chrono and enjoying it, pure PvP.

Overall, obviously it suffers from the same issues the healers have, as healing isn't super needed when everyone has immense self healing. I also have like no defense or mobility. I can maintain a decent distance, but I can't CREATE distance, yet. I get ganked hard.

This post isn't meant to complain about the class, i'm not looking to talk about why Felsworn are OP or why Chronos are useless etc. I'm top of the healing charts most BGs, and kit is super creative and fun to use.

I'm wondering what techniques y'all have found useful, what abilities surprised you, macros you've created etc to make it work?

I'll go first;

1. Desynchronization is hilarious to use. A 30 yard disarm for 6 seconds completely neutralizes a threat, and usually turns the tide on whoever I cast it on in a battle. I've found it very powerful utility.

2. The double dispell Roll Back talent is super strong, as there are a ton of debuff/dot classes, and i've found it works great helping the flag carrier.

3. Continuum Restoration is tough to pull off, but in a flag room or big battle it can really surprise a Felsworn, dispelling their shields.

4. I haven't found a great use for Backtrack of Infinite Clone yet, though I suspect there is some interesting way to utilize it. I'll occasionally get a funny Clone off and lose a pursuer by backtracking.

5. Can anyone confirm if Dimensional Divergence works on flag carriers? Swapping places from 40yds with the flag seems very powerful and fun.

I went "TIME" spec. I do no damage besides Decomposition DOTs. I tend to go for putting Accelerated Recovery on EVERYONE, then blasting Epoch procs for the absorption shields. Babify, Chronostatis and Infinity Clasping where needed. The moment someone sees me i'm screwed if I can't stay away. I really need an "oh shit" macro for when I get chained by a KoX or stunlocked by a RM/Reaper.

Went down to Wisconsin finally, to meet with Jason Dea West in his hometown. He is an interesting dude in the alt country sphere. Tramped all around touring non stop for over a decade now. Formerly bandmates with folks like Benjamin Tod and Resonant Rogues.

Filmed at his family's farm and childhood home, with some archival footage I found from the area. Anyway, he's a salt of the Earth dude, love the tunes.

Another from this series got over a million spins on YouTube. Decided to release this song from that session on a whim this year. He was really on a roll back then. He recently got sober and is making strides - hoping for some good stuff from him this year or next.

Just one of my favorite players doing a rendition of an ole tune. Definitely his own take on it, crazy style. Lol.

She recently announced a new album after getting out of a big dispute with her label. So I was going down memory lane. Love this one. Cheers.

Went to Korea and met with the legend himself.. this guy has become one of my favorite songwriters, ever. His bandcamp is stacked with incredible releases. There's just something soothing about his voice, his cadence, his aura honestly. Just cool as can be, like a bottomless well. Sorry for glazing, hope you enjoy.
