Have followed all the instructions on sidequest regarding running the questzdoom launcher. I select the correct mods in the launcher, hit "go to hell" and I get a black screen with music instead of the game starting. When I run questzdoom in unknown sources (not the launcher, just questzdoom) it throws me into some glitched up bot or multiplayer session and I get killed by a zombieman instantly. I'm using freedoom as the base game as sidequest says this works fine. Happy to try the wad instead, but freedoom should work, just as a test. Any help is appreciated!

Do everything on your own terms, at your own pace, as an individual, even if it's harder. While it may be tempting to accept a favour, especially if it will make your life easier, it can come with several adverse effects. I have too many examples where accepting a favour was more of an inconvenience than simply doing the task myself. Full independence is the key.
