Does some charts indcate birth of child will fortune in bad way?

I am seeing the chart of person. He was successful but after his son was born, the things went downhill. Also son is also suffering from bad career. What I have found was sun, mercury and saturn where tri-junction with each other in 8th house scorpio. Was birth of child was karmic?
