How would Billy rate Sam’s outfit for this special?
After you could hear Sam’s confidence leak out when Billy asked him why he picked “that” outfit for the last special. The look is “uniquely Miami” … Vice.

Billy Gil Appreciation Post
Today might be Billy’s “apex mountain”. He spends 45 min talking baseball with on the Bill Simmons Podcast (in typical Billy fashion), he’s of course needling Joel Anderson on Ringer Tailgate and he’s on Ringer NFL. Two of these podcasts are on Netflix. Never would have imagined this trajectory for him, it’s really great to see.

Good for Hawk
Nice to see him on ESPN— I remember summer of 2025 he said something about how hard it is to get a network job with all these QBs and big name players retiring and throwing their hat in the ring. Always liked him on the show— he and Amin were great co hosts in the summer.

Golics are baaackkk!
Had a listen to the inaugural episode of the new espn radio show (coming out in podcast form, too) and realized how much I missed Golic Sr these last few years. I hung in until the bitter end to the OG show that went off espn during covid (co-hosted with Trey Wingo) because I always enjoyed him more than Greeny. Really liked the new show with Sr and Jr— lots of sports talk. Anywho… I’ll hang up and listen.
